There is a ton of data out there that suggests how beneficial celebrating wins, successes, accomplishments and achievements are. Recently, Ginny's book,You're My Favorite, became a #1 best seller on Amazon, which was a huge accomplishment. Immediately, she reached out to two different friends to celebrate over the phone with. Are you celebrating your successes enough? It got Ginny thinking about other accomplishments, like reaching 100 book reviews on Amazon and 1,000 followers on Instagram, even getting a clean bill of health after a recent routine mammogram. No matter how big or small, it's important to celebrate our wins. There's a reason why patients ring a bell after completely a course of chemotherapy. It signifies and commemorates a success. Celebrating doesn't have to be an elaborate party. It could be dinner with some friends. Or coffee or happy with a friend. It could be publicly on social media or it could be treating yourself to some self care. Celebrating our successes is important and contagious. Contagious not just for ourselves, but it can grant others permission to celebrate their own accomplishments. This positivity puts us in a good mood and releases endorphins. And if you're a believer of manifestation, you will continue to bring this positivity and attract more wins. Using affirmations can reinforce and motivate you to win again. Saying "I am a winner" can make you more likely to keep winning. Writing down your achievements can also reinforce this and help of maintain an attitude of gratitude. If you have been in an abusive or toxic relationship, whether romantic, familiar or parental, this may be more difficult for you to do if you haven't felt allowed to celebrate your successes. You may want an accountability partner or to seek therapy for help with this. Making celebrations part of your routine can become a healthy and positive habit. You may even keep a tracker or journal of all of your wins and revisit if you're having a moment of doubt or a down day. This may be able to help boost you back up when you take a look at all of the things you've been able to accomplish. It's no fun to be around negativity, but it is fun to be around positivity and celebrate one another. It just feels good and can lead to more success. Let's celebrate together! Feel free to send Ginny a note about one of your successes, wins, accomplishment or achievements to celebrate you!
