Black men are disproportionately faced with discrimination throughout their lives, and for homosexual Black men, the discrimination they endure is twofold, leading to greater rates of depression and social isolation.  Terrell and Jarius Joseph, hosts of the Dear Media podcast Let's Go There, are two millennial gay dads who are on a mission to normalize not only homosexuality in the Black community, but also LGBTQ+ parenting in all communities. In this episode, Dr. Jackie discusses with them how we can help educate LGBTQ+ family members on acceptance, and why it is so important to redefine what marriage and family looks like to further encourage acceptance and representation for years to come.
