  • Don’t Get Caught in the Comparison Trap with: Jake Thompson

One of Gallup's most significant findings is that 70% of the variance in employee engagement can be attributed to managers. As a Keynote Speaker and Performance Consultant  Jake Thompson helps Leaders Increase Their Performance & Their Teams Gain a Competitive Edge.

“I teach people how to compete every day with themselves. By winning the day, we win in business and in life. Through lived experiences as an athlete, entrepreneur and speaker, I’ve battle-tested and mastered the secret to success. To achieving goals and making the impossible, possible.

To being great, not just good enough. From my first ‘sales job’ at 7, going door-to-door selling Christmas cookies, to my initial business selling branded t-shirts in the trunk of my car, and onto today, as a leading keynote speaker and corporate coach, I’ve unlocked what it takes to be a winner. The life we desire is closer than we think. It’s the small shifts in our daily focus, mentally and practically, that build a winning life. Through my CE³ Model, I help teams, CEOs, athletes and students develop mental toughness, master consistency, and improve day after day. We all have a gift inside of us, but it takes courage, systems, and a competitive mindset to access it. I’ll show you how, so you’re not sitting on the bench, waiting for life.” He joined me this week to tell me more.

  • Your Own DNA Your Genes Your Plan with Laurie Kaplan

In one survey, published in Psychology Today 80 percent of working adults—both with and without children—wished that they had more time to spend with their friends and family. Scientists have even coined the term “time famine” to describe the pervasive feeling of being overwhelmed with the demands of work and life. For Laurie Kaplan “As an epigenetic lifestyle coach, I create bespoke health and wellness plans based on the wisdom of your own DNA. Your Genes - Your Plan” I am currently alchemizing the life that I want to live based on the wisdom of my own genetics and body. As a dietitian nutritionist and epigenetic coach, I am able to "read" my client's genetic data and use science to create the best plan for them. Depending on what their goals are, this personal roadmap provides the framework to do this. Once I discovered my own genetics, I was able to shift to the living the life I knew was available to me yet felt forever out of reach.

My passions are many -I've been riding and involved with horses since the age of 5 and worked in the horse industry for many years. I currently own 2 horses and am training for the Gaucho Derby - a 500km horse adventure race in Patagonia that takes place over 8 days in the Andes mountains.

I am the caretaker of a 60 acre farm in central Illinois where I raise sheep and lamb for meat, chickens for their eggs and have a 4 bedroom 2 bath space for retreats. Horse yoga, anyone?

I love caring for others and making sure that all the details create an unforgettable yet easy and fun experience. I create the theme and menu for the retreats by listening to the land and what message it wants me to share. This land has provided me with deep healing after my divorce from an abusive situation that lasted nearly 2 decades of my life.

I am a musician currently playing drums which makes me so incredibly happy. My drum hero's are Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl.

I am passionate about personal growth, have attended and crewed Tony Robbin's events and many other seminars and retreats. The growth and connection that has come from these experiences influence my entire life.

I deeply care for each of my clients and am honored when someone chooses me as their guide. There are so many excellent coaches and mentors available so to have someone "pick me" is incredibly special. As a dietitian and epigenetic coach, I get to know each client at an extremely personal level. We go deep into creating the best nutrition, health and life plan for them that is the very foundation for their life.

I have 2 boys who I absolutely adore. Alex, 20 and Christopher, 19, both off in university in places that they love.

I am lucky. Beyond fortunate to have been gifted difficult situations which have ultimately shape who I am today. She joined me this week to tell me more.

And now, it is his life’s work to teach as many people as possible how to achieve post-traumatic growth and self-love. Growing up in Kansas City, Jack thrived both academically and athletically. He was a straight-A student and 1st Team All-State athlete in high school. After high school, Jack went on to attend San Diego State University in the honors program. During his college years, Jack spent time as a competitive CrossFit athlete and later began his speaking and coaching career. However, in late 2017 all of that was put on hold, and he would spend the better part of the next 3 years in the hospital battling a chronic illness. Eventually, Jack returned to Kansas City and began working full-time again as a keynote speaker, personal trainer, and mental health coach.  He joined me this week to tell me more.
