  • How To Feel Good About Your Accent - Come Sentirsi A Proprio Agio Mentre Si Parla In Italiano

    Ciao ragazzi! Buon ascolto!

    -

    Hey guys! Welcome back to this new episode of my podcast. Today I decided to make a more discursive episode, different from the usual. I’m going to talk about accent, how to improve your accent when you speak Italian. We'll talk about how to feel good, comfortable with your accent. This is a fairly important topic, because I have noticed that often there is an extremely "desire" to speak like a native while you're learning a new language. You'll listen my personal thought about this topic. Have a good listening!

    Text:

    Lorenzo suona la chitarra da molto tempo, ha iniziato quando aveva sette anni. Si esercita ogni giorno nel pomeriggio, quando torna a casa da scuola. Prima di suonare, finisce i compiti per il giorno dopo, altrimenti sua mamma si arrabbia. È all’ultimo anno della scuola media, perciò deve decidere a quale liceo iscriversi. Lorenzo non ha dubbi: s’iscriverà al liceo che si trova in centro, quello che offre l’indirizzo musicale, perché non vuole abbandonare la sua passione, al contrario, vuole continuare a studiare musica e, forse, iniziare a suonare un nuovo strumento!

    Vocabulary:

    Esercita (esercitarsi) = Practice

    Altrimenti = Otherwise

    Iscriversi = Sign up

    Strumento (musicale) = (musical) Instrument

    Questions:

    - Quale strumento suona Lorenzo?

    - Quando ha iniziato a suonarla?

    - Quando si esercita con la chitarra?

    - Perché deve decidere a quale liceo iscriversi?

    - A quale liceo vuole iscriversi? Perché?

    Puoi darmi la penna, per favore?

    Potresti darmi la penna?  ("potere" al condizionale presente)
