Working on ourselves is something I normally applaud, however, when we try too hard and want to have that breakthrough so badly we can
go down a path alone and make mistakes that can harm us. It’s tempting to put labels on the a-ha moments and try to make sense of things that we explore, but sometimes we can overthink and end up totally doubting ourselves and feeling confused or not quite right.
Ultimately, we all want to settle in to “self” and feel good
about who that is, right?
I’m opening up about my most recent experience with a healing modality and my own rabbit hole thinking and how my practitioner was
able to help me distinguish shadow work from internal family systems and external circumstance that caused a natural reaction in my young little mind and body.
