I'm trying to get my Chinese driver's license, and I've been told that the parking component of the driving exam is the most difficult, because you're not allowed to readjust. You have to do it in one like sweeping singular movement and it has to be perfect, 30 centimeters in the line at every end of the car, the front, the back, the left, the right.

This parking test was a bit more challenging than I thought. I figured it would be easy because I've had my license for decades, but the rules for test 2 are very strict. I went back to the driving school twice to get more practice in, and passed the test easily.

Today I'm practicing for Test No. 3. I'm here with my Coach, Coach Lu. He's gonna help me out here. For me the most challenging part of this test is actually understanding the prompts that the computer gives me. I've actually been driving for quite some time, so I'm comfortable behind the wheel of a car, but what I'm not necessarily familiar with is the commands that will come from the testing computer, which are all in Mandarin. So I need to learn all of those commands and how to execute them properly in a timely fashion in order to pass this test. Let's do it.

As expected, I passed the road test, the driving part was easy, it was the "lights test" at the very beginning that was the hardest part. There is no room for error and you only have a few seconds to react, but I got through it.
