The Hangmans ghost
This was a really good short story.A hangman thinks that because he doesn't make the decision to hang peopl that he is innocent in their deaths. He may be wrong.Mr Hague is a great narrator for this as well as writer.I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
Horror from Australia
If you haven't listened to any stories in this G. M. Hague horror series, you're in for a real treat. The author/narrator has a thick Australian accent that I find an amusing addition to the stories. This one is about an executioner who is haunted by seemingly innocent people that he had no choice but to put to death. "The Hangman's Ghost" is a short-ish story that isn't overly scary but was a fun, spooky read nonetheless! I would recommend this story to any listeners that enjoy light horror and aren't just in it for the pure scares.

Short and sweet
Though this tale is barely over 1.5 hours, the author does an excellent job immersing you into the character, their backstory and the stories of related parties without feeling rushed. In fact, I feel the brevity works to the story's advantage.
For those looking for chills, this is indeed a ghost story, but it's not a BOO! jump-in-the-dark kind of story, more one of persistent haunting with a bit of mystery thrown in.
As usual, the author does an excellent job narrating his own material.
I was provided this audiobook free of charge in exchange for my review.
Spooky Story, Nicely Done
I really enjoyed this! It is self produced, but don't be put off by that, as the author does a wonderful job and his narration is excellent. The story is scary of the spooky variety, and fun to listen to with the lights off at night. A great change of pace from mainstream horror, in the vein of campfire tales. I highly recommend it!
I received this book for free at my request from the author, publisher or narrator and have voluntarily left this review.
Good short ghost story!
This is the latest short ghost story from G.M. Hague, and whilst I felt it wasn't as good as his previous couple it was still a very entertaining read. It centers around some strange things which happens to a prison hangman back in the 1940's.
The story is well read by the author and he gives the main characters their own distinct voice. He is good at setting the atmosphere and mentioning small details which add to the believability of the story.
