    Publisher's Summary:
Throughout his career, forensic anthropologist and outspoken atheist Dr. Jon Bondurant has investigated many religious artifacts said to be real, but he knows better. So when he is invited by the Vatican to examine the Shroud of Turin, said to be the burial cloth that covered the body of Christ, he is delighted for the opportunity to prove once and for all that the shroud is a fake. But when he meets Domenika Josef, the beautiful and devout Vatican representative, he realizes his task will not be as straightforward as he once imagined.
As Bondurant and his team examine every element of the shroud, he and Domenika begin to see each other in a whole new light. As the evidence about the origin of this highly contested piece of fabric starts to pile up, he begins to realize that he's been seeing a lot of things incorrectly. But when a sample of the blood from the shroud - believed to be the real blood of Jesus Christ - vanishes, he realizes his problems are just beginning. The DNA traces in that sample could have earth-shattering consequences if they fall into the wrong hands.
When Domenika vanishes, Bondurant is caught in a globe-spanning chase to rescue the women he loves - and stop the evil forces who have their own motives for bringing on the Second Coming.
    Critic Reviews:
    "
The Shroud Conspiracy is an absolutely brilliant thriller! This riveting, intrigue-filled mystery is like nothing you've read before. Once you start, you won't be able to put it down." (Brad Thor,
    New York Times best-selling author)
    Members Reviews:
Jurassic Park meets the deVince Code
Pretty good for a first book!
I was really interested in all the details about the Shroud of Turin. I did a paper on it my last year in college and it was interesting to hear all the new stuff they've discovered since then. I do believe one fact Is inaccurate but has been added for the benefit of the plot. You can guess which one it is by the end of the book.
The author has constructed a complicated plot which he pulls off pretty well.
I genuinely came to like the main characters. They have 3D personalities and their motivations make sense, pretty much. It has a couple spots that seem a bit amateurish, but I don't think this guy has ever written a book before, and I expect his writing will mature.
I would definitely buy his next book.
Narrator handles all the dialects well, but he's a little flat compared to some of the narrators who are out there now. Also there are a couple of spots where the dialog is written a little choppy (not his fault).
I really appreciate the fact that it doesn't have gratuitous sex or graphic violence (by my standards, anyway). There's a scene or two where I began to shift in my chair a bit, but they are necessary to the plot, and they don't go too far. (Again, you may draw the line in a different place.
This does not feel like an imitative book; the subject matter is it's own. But i think it's fare to say if you liked Jurassic Park and deVince Code, you'll like this.
Not what I was hoping for
I was really hoping this story would be a suspenseful thriller with a historic and unique twist. Instead it was a quest for one man to find religion and love. It was not in the family of Thor, Flynn or Coes and even though I tried hard I could not find my way to enjoyment.
    I wanted more...
The story just seemed to run out of steam.

    Absolutely Amazing!!!!!!!
Where do I even begin?! First let me say that I took a chance on listening to this book because I've never heard of Ms. De'Nesha before. Second why the heck aren't there tons of 5 star reviews for this book? It was phenomenal, suspenseful, exciting, drama filled and just plain old fantastic ride!! I couldn't believe all of the secrets that were revealed in this book! The secondary characters in this story were just as amazing as the lead characters. She took her time with character development everyone in this story was connected in some way and they were so complex. Please don't make us wait too long for part 2. I was on the edge of my seat with my mouth hung open when I found out who Kitty was. What a cliffhanger! Whoa!! I need part 2 now!! Did I say that already? Buy the book. Even with the surprising lack of reviews I need you to know it was fabulous!
    BRAVO!
I love it when an author is not afraid to step out the box a little but still remain true to their fans and their style of writing. Ms. Diamond out did herself with this one. It keeps your interest from start to finish. It's a must read!!!!!
    Great Plot twist
it was moving slow in the beginning but after awhile it got soooo good. cant wait for the sequel spring 2018!!!!
An interesting read which holds your attention
I think the most memorable moment is the end, which makes the book worth the wait!
    Working it Out
What did you like best about this story?
This story is very creative. It's a story filled with a serious, intriguingly cool, twist I never saw coming...

    So ridiculous it's comical....
I usually enjoy James Patterson books. This one, however, could not end soon enough. In fact, after an hour and half of absolute nonsense, I finally got smarter than the heroine and gave up on making it to the end. Though I didn't finish the book, I'm sure the main character, an ordinary, everyday mom, was able to outmaneuver several more vehicles at high rates of speed on canyon roads and kill 5 or 10 more armed professional killers all by her lonesome, all whilst unarmed herself; or, as she did in the beginning, accidentally shoot one w a rifle, not realizing she fired the rifle in the first place......because that's plausible!
    ACED IT!!!
HOOKS YOU HOLDS YOU RIVETS YOUR EARS INTO YOUR HEADPHONES. Perfect pictures with that Patterson 'WORDS BRUSH'
    Good listen
Really good and suspenseful. Easy listen while driving to and from work in traffic daily
    Save your credit
Too "over the top". A regular stay at home mom becomes Rambo in a matter of hours. The story line didn't even really make sense. And is it bad I wanted to throat punch someone whenever she did the little girls voice
Not a typical James Patterson which is such a shame
    Not terrible...
Story and imagery were lackluster, though plenty of action sequences to make up for it. Ended on a positive note which I was glad to hear. Narration was good, not great.

From the author of the international best seller The Stone Man, short-listed for Audible UK's Book of the Year Award 2015.
    Here are the rules.
Method: you can't use a gun. You can't use explosives. You can't use poison. It has to be up close and personal. You don't have to worry about leaving evidence; that will be taken care of.
Victim: no one suicidal. No one over the age of 65. No one with a terminal illness.
Choose your method. Choose your victim.
Chris Summer was a 21-year-old call centre worker. A dropout. A nobody, still living at home with his parents. Then one day the Man in White came to his family's house, offering a seemingly impossible choice: kill a random stranger - one of Chris' choosing - within 12 days in order to save the lives of five kidnapped siblings. Refuse, and they die slowly and painfully.
The clock is ticking, the Man in White is watching and Chris has some very important choices to make. This is a tale of fear, indecision, confused masculinity and brutal violence - a story of a coddled young man thrust into a world of sharp metal and bone. Ask yourself if you could do it. Then ask yourself who you would choose.
    Critic Reviews:
"For me there is no greater joy than seeing an artist excel at his craft...you'll be blown away by the abundance of ideas." (Ain'tItCoolNews.com)
    Members Reviews:
The Good of the Many is More Important...Or is it?
This book asks the question made most famous by "Spock" in "Star Trek - The Wrath of Khan": "Is the good of the many more important than the good of the few--or the one" (paraphrase)? And, if it is, is it the moral/right/decent/human thing to "Kill Someone" to make it so?
The main character, Chris, is given this very dilemma. He is just a normal young man--maybe a little lazy, maybe not too ambitious, maybe a little lost-- when he is literally forced to grow up and make choices no one should have to make for seemingly no reason. Chris must decide whether he can kill someone to save the lives of five sisters being held captive by the mysterious, "Man in White".
So how does a person go from being a slacker to having peoples' lives in his hands? We go every step of the way through it with Chris. At first he is incredulous; then comes denial; then comes acceptance; and then comes the anguish of the terrible decisions he is being forced to make. We learn about Chris' life through brief scenes from his past. He seems to have had a good life with a loving family, but he has also been harassed and discriminated against because he is black. Chris is written as a fully developed character. We know him, so we know the horror he feels, the frenzy he feels to do something--but he doesn't know what--and the self-doubts he has as to whether or not he can actually kill someone. He wants to do the right thing; he just doesn't know what that is. Could anyone? Could you?
If you don't want to talk about politics or global warming this Christmas, I suggest buying this book and a few copies as gifts for the family you will be sharing your Christmas with. This book asks questions that will lead to discussions (maybe heated ones) about what each reader would do if placed into the same position as Chris. You can literally discuss this book for hours and come away with no solid answers because the answers are personal to each individual person.

    Peculiar,.. Pervy,... waste of $$$
Im getting my money back on this stinker... I regret the time wasted on the read and review.
    Perfection!
I absolutely love a well written book. This one does not disappoint!
I will be careful not to give any spoilers! What I will tell you is this is definitely a real page turner. The characters are believable and well thought out. The story moves along at a good clip and does not falter. The storyline is solid and the book does not disappoint!! I was not expecting the ending and will now go purchase more from these great authors!!
    Enjoy!!
    Whoa!
These two authors are just amazing! So creative and interesting. This book had my immediate interest from page 1.
    Awful people and unbelievable story
I've not read a book with such terrible, despicable characters in a long time. I probably would have been ok with their awfulness as human beings if the situations they found themselves in and their reactions were in anyway believable but they weren't. My ability to suspend disbelief quit well before the halfway mark.
On the positive side, the narrators did a great job.
    Alex & Siobhan
Killing Cupid is more then a thriller its literary art on a 2017 modern day ROMEO & JULIET Steelo.
If this aint estranged love I dont know what is?
Alex has it bad for Siobhan.
Siobhan has it bad for Siobhan? This was magnificently written and proformed. Well Worth the credit and highly recommend.

    Members Reviews:
    Good mystery
I listened to this book. The narrator was excellent. The plot was good and very well written. Characters well developed. Avery, the female former criminal defense lawyer turned detective, is a strong, intelligent, complicated woman. She endures the macho dislike of her fellow officers who blame her for the death of her partner in a previous case. She solves the case in spite how they treat her because she uses her mind and intelligence. I listened non-stop to the entire book beginning to end.
The author has the ability to make some of the characters so real that they made me dislike them intensely.
    Good book!
    Narration
The book takes place in Boston but, the characters are all British. Why? Doesn't make sense and was distracting.
    Serial Killer vs. Flawed Cop
Avery Black, high powered attorney, turned homicide detective, is on the trail of a serial killer . . . but she is plagued by her own past, not accepted by the very team she works with . . . and questioning herself at every turn . . . yet she is dogged in her search for the killer, and her instinct as a cop is right on . . . I found it sick that she had to go visit the old man in jail to get "advice" on the case, the very one that caused her fall from grace as an attorney . . . yet in some ways, I understand, given her childhood . . . the narration is very confusing, as the setting is in Boston, yet the narrator is British . . . you just have to ignore that . . . this is a book for women . . . I don't see men getting in to the nuances of the story . . . it could be better without the profanity . . . but realistically, I'm sure that's what goes on in police precincts . . . the resolution was very good . . . harrowing . . . nail-biting good . . .
Serial killers and a smart detective
A lot happened in this murder mystery. I enjoyed reading about the disgraced female detective and how strong she really was.
    Great book...but
Great book...but, a British accent from the narrator (who did it a wonderful job) was just a crazy choice for a story based in Boston!!! Although that was annoying, the story was good and what an ending!!!

Antoinette Conway, the tough, abrasive detective from The Secret Place, is still on the Murder Squad, but only just. She's partnered up with Stephen Moran now, and that's going well - but the rest of her working life isn't. Antoinette doesn't play well with others, and there's a vicious running campaign in the squad to get rid of her.
She and Stephen pull a case that at first looks like a slam dunk lovers' tiff, but gradually they realise there's more going on: someone on their own squad is trying to push them towards the obvious solution, away from nagging questions.
They have to work out whether this is just an escalation in the drive to get rid of her - or whether there's something deeper and darker going on.
    Members Reviews:
    A personal disclosure.
The amazingly gifted Tana French draws you into a fantasy world, and since that is what the book is about, in a way it is a (very) partial autobiography. I am mesmerised.
    LOVED this book!
I've enjoyed all Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad books, although I'm not usually a crime fiction fan. She has a knack for human portraits and a gift for seeing the intricacies of relationships which elevate the book far above the average "who dunnit". Her plots are full of interesting twists and I love the way she brings back minor characters from previous books to flesh them out in more detail. Can't wait for her next book.
As with all the books I've heard in this series, the performance is outstanding and I'd certainly seek out other narrations by Hilda Fay.
    Great story - Great narration
What made the experience of listening to The Trespasser the most enjoyable?
The story is riveting, and the characters are engaging. I thought the narration by Hilda Fay was superb - her voice really suited the story.
    Variably engaging
This is convoluted detective novel with false trails and side stories. The main character is Antoinette Conway: a tough detective up against the problems of being a woman in a male-dominated profession. She is unpopular with her colleagues who engage in silly pranks or worse try to jeopardise her work. Her only ally, and professional partner, is detective Steve Moran with whom she strives to get to the truth about a death that at first seems to be an accident but turns out to be murder. Investigations into the female victims life reveals several lines of enquiry and possible suspects.
I found the narrative varied in pace and interest. The best scenes are those of interviewing suspects that seem almost in real-time and ably demonstrate interrogation techniques, but the book flags at times with long meandering conversations and side issues. Though categorized as a detective novel, it is just as much about human relationships and what drives behaviour.
The narrator gives Antoinette a strong, gravelly Irish accent that is little different from the male characters and so I often couldnt tell who was speaking and so found the dialogue confusing at times.
Ive read four of the authors other books and think, for example, Broken Harbour and Faithful Places are superior.
    Gripping stuff!
Gosh such a good listen! Avoids so many pitfalls of a tale so reliant on dialogue . The two detectives are brilliant, a woman so tough she'll rust and a likeable junior partner! Great.
