    Entertaining story
Where does Libellus de Numeros rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
pretty high, I would give it a 9/10.
What did you like best about this story?
Oh there were a handful of things I liked. I personally HATE math, I want to stab it (I burned my last math book in college.) This book gave me a NEW appreciation for math, I love the concept that magic is only possible through math. I also love the idea of the ranking system of the 100 guardians. I also like that Alex grows in the story, she is figuring out how to be on her own in a way without her father there and in her missing him regrets how she treated him the last time she saw him. I like that Alex is smarter then the other kids in the class and that her being female and smart is something valuable for her with the high counsel looking down on women and forcing them to be silent when they are in the court area.
What does TJ Maggio bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
The voices for each character add so much to the story, especially Archimedes voice. The way the voices were narrated gives it such a vibrant edge.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    yes, and I did.
    Any additional comments?
I really hope the following books are made into audio books. I am curious and want to know what happens next. I do feel there was closure with this book, however Alex isn't home yet so there has to be more.
Awesome book, my 11 year old couldn't put it down
If you could sum up Libellus de Numeros in three words, what would they be?
    Exciting, thrilling and awesome
What was one of the most memorable moments of Libellus de Numeros?
When Alex shattered the 2 ton boulder
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Just excitement to read the next book.
    Any additional comments?
My son wouldn't leave me alone until I downloaded the second book for him.
    Interesting, Provocative Read!!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I will recommend this book to all of my friends, especially with those who have daughters.
What other book might you compare Libellus de Numeros to and why?
It is unique, there is no other book that I would compare it too.
What does TJ Maggio bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
His voice makes it enjoyable to relax and close your eyes, allowing your imagination to take hold.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were several moments in the book that I felt moved. As a child I was intimidated by math and science.

    Language: English
    Release date: 03-16-15
    Publisher: A. R. Meyering

Genres: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Fantasy: Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
Sarah Wilkes is desperate enough to do anything, even make a deal with the devil - or in her case, a familiar spirit. After her twin Lea is murdered, Sarah finds college life impossible and longs to escape. Everything changes when Sarah realizes a familiar spirit is stalking her and offers to transport her to the terrifying and fantastical realm of Unreal City. The payment for admission? A taste of her blood. Unable to resist, Sarah is drawn into an alternate reality that is a dream come true... at first.
The deeper she explores Unreal City, the more Sarah's reality becomes warped. Death surrounds her as people are murdered in the same fashion as her sister. She has no choice but to continue her visits to Unreal City, which grows darker by the day. Is finding out the truth about what happened to Lea worth becoming part of Unreal City forever?
    Members Reviews:
    Amazing
The depth of writing is superb. This is original, scary and mesmerizing. Sara's grief firmed to strength and resilience is inspiring. Felix is a creature you won't be able to forget! I loved it!
    A Dream and a Nightmare
What made the experience of listening to Unreal City the most enjoyable?
Be careful what you wish for, kids.
Readers who take on A.R. Meyerings UNREAL CITY have no idea what theyre in for. I purchased the audiobook version of this novel (and so I hope youll forgive me if I misspell a character name or two), looking forward to what I expected would be a rather darker imagining of ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS. And so it was.
Much darker. Just as good. Seriously.
Meet Sarah Wilkes, a young college-bound woman, separated for the first time from her family even as she wrestles with the recent murder of her beloved twin sister Lea. Shes not ready for this, but theres really nothing else for it. Her friends have given up on her. Her mother waits obsessively for the awakening of Leas boyfriend from a coma, for answers that may never come. Real-world forces propel her from the ruined life she has known into a future rife with uncertainty.
Enter Felix. Yeah, hes a cat. But not really. And hes only Felix because thats what Sarah names him. He has promises for Sarah, an invitation that cannot be denied. Feed me, Sarah, and Ill make it all go away. Far away.
We know this is a bad idea. Readers and listeners alike scream at Sarah to back away (Notake it, Sarah, do it, DO IT), because were pretty sure this is going to a bad place. Oh, and it is. Real bad. So bad, in fact, that we want to be there ourselves. And the good news is, for the length of this book, we really are.
I dont want to give too much away. Thats all Im saying, in terms of plot. But I assure you, readers and listeners both, that here you will find a tale rich in character, from the real-world Sarah and her selfless college friend Joy, to the phantasms, gods, and devils of Unreal City itself: Mama Stella, Blanche, Poe, Felix, the Antler Man
The thing is, this book will hurt you. For those of us burdened with unresolved grief and the anger that comes with it, the trip wont be easy. To those of us young enough (or fortunate enough) to not have dealt with these issues yet, perhaps UNREAL CITY will provide some kind of creative preparation for its inevitability. Live long enough, and this pain will find you. A.R.

    A quick and easy read.
    Any additional comments?
My actual rating is 3.5 but we don't have half stars here so I'll round it up to 4.
This was a good read though at times a little confusing. I'm going to list my likes and dislikes for this review so let's do the negative first.
    What I Disliked:
There are many many characters and some that I still have no idea why they were part of the story, though maybe it will be revealed in future books.
The world building was lacking a little aswell. It had the potential to be explosive but it fell flat.
There wasn't much back story where Lillim is concerned. She was always on about being reincarnated and people knew her from her last life, but who was she? Why was she reincarnated etc? Not enough detail.
    What I liked:
Lillim was a solid character. She was easily likable and you can't help but root for her.
The plot was really fast paced. There is plenty of action and adventure that you fly through the book and it's an enjoyable read.
There is a lot to this book which you know will slowly unravel over the series so it keeps your attention.
It has Dragons!! Admittedly not much to do with them, but still Dragons!!
In all an engaging if some what confusing read. Even though I got lost sometimes, it held my attention to the end and I liked the idea of the book enough to continue on with the series.
Rebecca Roberts did a good job reading the book. Even with the amount of characters, I knew when she voiced a new one. I will definitely check out more read by her.
*I received this for review from AudioBookBlast. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*
    Kill it with magic
What was one of the most memorable moments of Kill It with Magic?
Story is about a girl who is running away from her past life. Shes tired of everybody comparing her to the girl she used to bea girl who selflessly ended her own life to save many others. But when her ex-boyfriend contacts Lillim for help, she has no choice but to be involved in the life that she had been so desperately trying to get away from. Lillim is thrust into a mystery and desperately tries to stop a dragon from taking over. In the process she meets several mysterious characters.
    kill it with magic review
If you could sum up Kill It with Magic in three words, what would they be?

What other book might you compare Kill It with Magic to and why?

What does Rebecca Roberts bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

    Any additional comments?
    An interesting, entertaining audiobook.

    Publisher's Summary:
When Zach and I were born, our parents must have counted and recounted: limbs, fingers, toes. The complete set. They would have been disbelieving - nobody dodged the split between Alpha and Omega. Nobody. Born as twins. Raised as enemies.
One strong Alpha twin and one mutated Omega; the only thing they share is the moment of their death.
The Omegas live in segregation, cast out by their families, as soon as their mutations become clear. Forced to live apart, they are ruthlessly oppressed by their Alpha counterparts. The Alphas are the elite. Once their weaker twins have been cast aside, they're free to live in privilege and safety, their Omega twins far from their thoughts.
Cass and Zach are both perfect on the outside: no missing limbs, no visible Omega mutations. But Cass has a secret: one that Zach will stop at nothing to expose.
The potential to change the world lies in both their hands. One will have to defeat the other to see his or her vision of the future come to pass, but if they're not careful both will die in the struggle for power.
    Critic Reviews:
"This book is a thought provoking whirlwind of a story, with a fab lead character, grisly politics and brave adventure. I loved it!" (Jessie Burton)
"A hell of a ride. I would recommend it to anyone I can, regardless of age." (James Oswald)

    I could not stop listening.
I plan to listen to it again. It is gripping and characters are well developed. I could not stop listening. Look forward to next book in the series, just pre-ordered it.
    Very good book
A great story, good characters and excellent propose. The story carries you along well and the world is fascinating. It's a powerfully written book
    Them vs Us
Foreigners vs natives. Employed vs unemployed. "Western culture" vs "Muslim culture"...
Wherever there is "Them" vs "Us" the story of the Fire Sermon's Alpha and Omega twins is played out.
Like her namesake of antiquity, Cassandra sees beyond the reality of the present to what could be. Like her namesake of antiquity, she seems to be the only one.
So...what if there were no "Them" or "Us"?
    Entertaining
Worth a listen if you like this genre. Set in a dystopian future, the main heroine Cass (an Omega) is on the run from the Alphas.
    Original, gripping
Would you listen to The Fire Sermon again? Why?
Yes. First book I've read/listened to since the Hunger Games, which is a worthy book in the post apocolyptic young adult dystopian fiction genre. Original. Gripping. Well developed characters. Looking forward to the next book.

    Robert Ludlum comes to mind...
As a teen I read Robert Ludlum's books one after the other and could not wait for the next. Mr. Vance captures my mind and imagination in a similar way. I find myself wondering how his characters will fare and "Hope" good will prevail!
    a very good read
I love how the story pulled me in. I would have liked a little more exchanges with the devilish characters. I liked how it ended with me on the edge of my seat, this assures my purchase of the next piece. if it's any thing like I imagine five-star rating for sure.
    Another excellent sequel
Book 2 is an excellent continuation to this saga. The characters developed well from book 1 and the story progressed in a way that held your interest.
    90% good story, 10% disappointed
It is was good until the end climax which I won't reveal but there were parts which I don't think were really thought through. I found what the characters did and their plans questionable, too many, "Why are they doing that for?" Just too many bad ideas and foolish actions.
Otherwise the relationships between the characters and their development was great and sets up interesting aspects for the next book.
    Pretty good series so far.
I felt that the connection with the people was well developed, little outlandish at times but that's why we like these books right? All things considered I can't wait for book 3

James Patrick Cronin is fabulous as the narrator!
Story line is great but the narrator makes it shine!
Keep 'me coming Ms. Fecteau and Mr. Cronin! Hope it won't be 1 year. *winks*
    Compelling characters, comedy & drama
The narration and inner monologue of our main character is funny and fascinating. All of the characters are uniquely written and the reader does a good job of distinguishing them with his voice and cadence.
There is an element of mistery to the characters that holds you as much as the main story. I want to learn more about the characters and see where the story takes them.
This sequel highly exceeds the original book
Pacing is goodand there is a plot. There are a great number of ancillary characters and supporting characters which give the story much more width in filling out the world the main characters are living in. I don't like intimate sex because in reading M/M books because it gets to be boring with constant repetition. In this book the sex takes place out of view of the reader for which I was extremely grateful. If you like werewolves, succubi, and above all vampires this is great series.
    Great Great Great
Where does Real Vampires Do It in the Dark rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Second only to the first in the series.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Matheus because of his sarcastic humorous wit.
Which character as performed by James Patrick Cronin was your favorite?
Matheus, and it is very important that James Patrick Cronin continues to narrate the series. He is fantastic.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The most exciting, sarcastically witty and suspenseful vampire movie ever!
    Any additional comments?
James Patrick Cronin makes every character come to life in this great series by Amy Fecteau. A great read and a fantastic listen.

And, most terrifying of all, the prophecy of a dark lord come to rule may be coming true very close to home....
The Dark Defiles is a supremely fast-moving 240,000 word epic. A massive-yet-tight story that both shines a light on some mysteries from earlier volumes and reveals deeper mysteries yet. We encounter the artifacts of an ancient race, learn the true story of the ghostly Dwenda and follow three old friends as they face their greatest test yet.

    Garbage
Terrible end to a sub-par series. I really struggled to get through this pile of dung.
    Morgan writes great action
I love how Morgan writes action. The stakes are real. Interesting world building. Messy politics.
    good read
excellent narrator, complex story, good strong characters, gritty. would be hard to read as a stand alone book. overall very enjoyable.
This doesn't feel like the end...
Loved this series, but if I am honest I am left slightly confused by this book. It feels unfinished, there are threads left hanging that need to be tied off and random, unnecessary revelations that leave me thinking "eh!!!!!" And not always in a good way.
This is a great read, well written, characters that live and breath and are not always easy to love. Ringil may be the hero, but there are times when he is cold bloodedly dispatching people that are difficult to read. In this series war makes monsters on every side. The world too is richly drawn though this is one place I really wouldn't want to wake up and find myself in.
My only problem is that the ending feels rushed. Revelation on revelation. Key players in the plot of the entire series that are only mentioned in the final pages, hidden secrets and unanswered questions. Ok, I am a fan of not always being given the answers, of making the reader work for some of them, but the defeat of the Dwenda leaves me feeling a little cheated.
Not as good as I would have expected
The book is a good effort to bring this fantastic series to a close but I felt it was a but of an anti-climax. There are some great ideas and a brilliant interstellar/universal confrontation but in the end it just didnt hit the spot. I loved the characters and the story was mostly strong but lost it's way towards the end. Great narration btw.

I couldn't put it "down." I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I honestly only got it because it was recommended to me and the cover was appealing, and nothing else peaked my interest. This book was engaging, and a breath of fresh air in regards to the premise of the story. Worth the read in my opinion.
    Loved it.
Narration was not bad at all which is always a risk but the narrator done the story justice.

The love interest and the young man are engaging
I'm a fan of Shinn's work, but the story centers around a couple of supporting characters who are not particularly likable, and the protagonist's attachment to them is inexplicable. The key catalyst in the story requires that you suspend all knowledge of science, medical treatment, etc- completely unbelievable. The love interest and the young man are engaging. If you've enjoyed this series, buy the book. If you are new to it, I recommend Shinn's other series or stand alone books. This is not one of her best.
Yet another book in Shinn's intriguing series about shape shifters ...
Yet another book in Shinn's intriguing series about shape shifters surviving and sometimes thriving in human society. Also takes a close look at child abuse within the context of the book but in a way that extends into real world issues. A sensitive, intriguing tale. Read the whole series; it is well worth the time and expense investment. Shinn is always a sure bet for a compelling tale that will expand and challenge your ethical/philosophical/perceptual boundaries.
    Enjoyed it very much!
A tale of soul-searching, inner turmoil and emotional conflict as shape-shifting heroes struggle with balancing their human lives, while facing the constant danger of being discovered for who they really are. Lots of action, sprinkled with romance--a good read.
    The usual high standard
I normally love Sharon Shinn's work, but I especially love her Shifting Circle novels, & this sustains the level. There is the usual charming romantic element, the usual dealing with loss and courage and morality. As a reader, I'm sucked into her world. As a writer, I always learn a lot.
    A pleasure to read
As part of a series, I find it more intriuging than ever. The sensitivity, writing style and clear plotline are excellent!

Audible Book is a Good as the Book it's self
What made the experience of listening to This Changes Everything the most enjoyable?
One I am a fan of Denise Grover Swank and have read all her books. To be able to listen to the audible version as well makes it even better. Just to have the story read to you after you have read it really nice. As I am crocheting and it is a rainy day this book fit the mood I was in. Nice and relaxing that's for sure.
    Which scene was your favorite?
Two friends being there for each other when they really needed someone.
    Devastating
I write this with tears rolling down my face. The author has literally wrung me out! The story is devastating. This is second background novella to the Curse Keeper's series and I would recommend listening/reading them first. This novella is from Ellie's POV and is set when Ellie is eight years old and tells us what happened to Ellie's Mother. I tell you it's not for the faint hearted and I literally sobbed when listening to what happened. The author being able to wring that much emotion from me speaks for itself how well it is written. After that I nearly don't want to hear Collin's story , which of course I'm going to listen to right now! Highly recommended series.
