LOVE this book

I love this series from start to finish. I love Miach and Morgan, their character and strength. They are good role models, which is sometimes hard to find. I love the close role family plays. It is witty and clever. The narrator did a good job as well.

Great audiobook

The story line was fun and enjoyable with a good narration. Very nice listen on a cold weekend

Nine Kingdoms

What did you like best about Princess of the Sword? What did you like least?

Have loved Kurland and this series for years. Could not stand the narration.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Laura Jennings?

Iliana Kadushen - I have no idea if that spelling is even close to correct - did a great job with Kurland's time travel novels. She would be a good choice here, as well.

Itâs a nice read about a dragon in the Highlands of Scotland who although is surrounded by magic understands very little of it and a woman who helps him see the magic in everyday life.

Boring, boring, boring. Couldn't even finish it.

Interesting and Intriguing!

Historical romances are few and far between for me to pick up and read, but when I saw it featured dragon shifters, well I just had to give it a try.

Highland Dragon Warrior was an interesting and pleasant read. Itâs set in medieval times with magicians, sorcerers, dragon shifters, demons, and alchemy. Itâs got mystery, action, and romance.

Sophie our heroine is a strong and determined women. Sheâs smart and stands up for what she believes in. Cathal our hero is a powerful and fierce warrior. Heâs fiercely protective of his family and those he cares for and looks after.

I enjoyed the story. I loved the Scottish setting and the paranormal elements where fascinating. The author did a good job creating an intricate and appealing world, but man was the world-building extensive. I had a little trouble with the story; mainly their was just so much information with the world-building and historical aspects that the book felt slow. I also felt like I was back in school learning a lesson; especially when it came to Sophiaâs alchemy and all the explanations that went into those scenes.

Now for the dragons their werenât that many scenes with the dragon shifters and their magic. I would have liked more. Their also wasnât much action either, until the very end, when Sophieâs soul is endangered.

As for the romance between Sophie and Cathal it was light and slow to bloom. I wish there was more interactions between these two to help build the romance. They spent a lot of time apart, watching each other across a room or briefly talking at dinner, but not doing much to move the romance along.

Highland Dragon Warrior is not a simple read. The world-building is extensive and various discussions that take place where excessive and a bit overwhelming. Itâs an interesting set up and Iâm intrigued, but I was a bit bogged down and felt like I was back in school.

I was looking forward to reading my first Isabel Cooper book when I was granted surprising access through NetGalley. Yes there's a Dragon Warrior, Cathal MacAlisdair who is the youngest son and currently holding down the castle for his family.

Entertaining, however

There are some parts of Damned if you Do that are hilarious and utterly brilliant, however in a good part of the book, the story sagged for me. I really found Seth's constant quoting boring and rather annoying. Abaddon on the other hand was a real laugh, especially when it comes to hellish bureaucracy.

For the greater part, John Solo's narration was good

John Solo is awesome!

The story was a little predictable, but very sweet. Pretty much no angst, which is what Im needing. Lovable characters. I hope Zeb gets his love too.

Really fun and surprisingly full of emotion

Abaddon is one of the many devils whose task it is to persuade humans to give up their souls to the devil through any means of temptation. Hes not very good at it. In fact, hes behind on his quota and about to be demoted.

He has only 2 weeks to catch up so he decides to go for quality versus quantity. Certain souls are worth more in that they are harder to tempt to the dark side.

When Abaddon goes to the human realm in search of his soul he finds one so bright its nearly blinding, Seth. In addition to being blind, Seth also plays every musical instrument like a pro, travels with his brother in a tent revival and happens to perform healings as well.

Theres no soul more pure than Seth.

The problem is, Abaddon begins to like Seth and not only doesnt he want Seth to be just another soul haunting Hell, he wants to BE with Seth but thats impossible

Wow! This was so surprising! It was hysterical first off. Sure, Ive seen bits of humor in Maries writing in the past but this was a whole new level of humor. Its funny left and right and very, very clever.

Seth is chock full of Biblical quotes. If I had a complaint at all itd be the quotes. I had to skim them after awhile there are quite a few. Theyre used to make a point and never to really preach so much as to show the opposite side of Abaddons arguments, but the language and all grew a bit tedious.

That being said, I still really loved this so much! But Ill warn you right now, I cried reading this. OMG. There are parts of this that just sucker punch you into the ugly cry.

Completes The Relentless Warrior story and answers necessary questions.

4.5 stars -- LOVED being back in Eden's head. LOVED the chemistry of Eden and Kiran. SO GLAD this tied up some of the loose ends from The Relentless Warrior -- like how they escaped and all that. It really makes it so that you *need* to read this book afterwards to get the whole perspective. LOVED how powerful Eden is again -- especially together with Kiran. LOVED all the sassiness and snark as usual.

The grief over Gabriel and Silas was a bit better here than in TRW, but I still felt a little bit disconnected from them, so still not as impactful as I would like.

And while it was nice to get the Eden perspective of the end of TRW, I guess somewhere in my head I wanted just a smidge more....but that could be b/c I'm greedy. :)

Not worth it

While in the previous books of this series, the author quite frequently changed the details of various scenes from book to book, the changes were much worse during this short story. It felt like at least 80 percent of the details and timelines were changed. The book contained very little in the way of new details and nothing, in my opinion, that could not be presented in a different setting better. However I am not the author and it appeared that the main purpose of this short story was to present the new/revised story lines. I enjoyed the previous books of this series and would recommend their reading, but this book, don't bother.

My Favorite Author & Series!

I love this series! I will read anything Rachel writes because it never disappoints! Even with this book. I was reading the same story from the book before it. I love being able to read other characters point of view :)

With that being said, it would have been better if this story was molded with the one before it. It's the same story so each chapter & point of view could easily switch back & forth between the two books & made the last book that much better!

However, since Rachel really does care about her readers, chances are she wrote this as an after thought once the last book was published. This was likely written just for us to have that much more of the story.

Disappointed!

Loved, loved, loved it! I adore science fiction, completely smitten with mystery and suspense, totally infatuated with anything supernatural, fantasy or paranormal, and simply can't survive without a little romance, but give me the perfect combination of all seven elements and I'm in heaven! And that's exactly what Carmen DeSousa has delivered with Creatus! The Creatus Series was my first time reading the work of Carmen DeSousa but it certainly won't be my last. I began my adventure with DeSousa after downloading Creatus, the first book of the series, when it was offered as a free download on Amazon. I enjoy discovering new authors and what better way to discover new talent without breaking the bank than with a free read, right? I started reading on a Saturday morning and within five minutes, I knew I'd struck gold! I raced back to Amazon and discovered Books Two and Three, Creatus: Rogue and Creatus: Eidolon, had already been released. And the icing on the cake, they were both available under the Kindle Unlimited program. SWEET! By Sunday evening, I had devoured all three books of the series as well as the prequel novella, They Exist, which was included as a bonus with the first book. At the end of Creatus Eidolon, I discovered a short excerpt from the next book of the series, Creatus Animus releasing October 2016. I was so happy to learn the adventure would be continued, I almost wept with joy. No joke! And, folks, here's the real kicker, I loved this series so much, after receiving the first book free, then reading Books Two and Three under Kindle Unlimited, I actually went back to Amazon and purchased the box set containing the prequel and first three books for my permanent library. If that isn't a true recommendation, I don't know what is! Ready for a sweet surprise??? Desousa automatically updated the Box Set with Book Five: Creatus Animus, the final book of the series, as soon as Animus was released...which is now! So, if you bought the box set before the release date of Creatus Animus, all you have to do is contact Amazon customer service and they will replace your copy with the file that includes ALL FIVE BOOKS! Jackpot! So why am I telling you all this? Because you shouldn't really read Creatus Animus until you've read the other books of the series. Each release is a full-length novel but the series is actually more like a serial since the books should be read in sequence.

I'm Done

This is my last book in this series . There is too much romance and nit enough mystery. The lead male character is a majoy a$$. He constantly underestimates Logan because she is a woman. I finally gave up and deleted the book. Tanya Erby did a good job with the voices, but, even she couldn't make this book tolerable for me.

Mystery and intrigue with a little violence thrown in

Well- Aimee and Mac have a lot to deal with in their way to HEA.

Mac is back to Diablo Lake to take over the pack. Unfortunately, his mother, father, and brother are hell bent on standing in his way and creating a little havoc in the meantime. Aimee is living her life as service to others , but can she tackle restoring a pack in turmoil too.

This book was a great sequel. We still don't know what Scarlett's issue is with Katie Faith, but it must be good. It takes a little getting used to the new shifter ways in this book, but the addition of witches and cats proves to make things interesting.

I enjoyed Book 2..was happy that that Duane and Daryl are gone and hopefully the pack can come together again. Can't wait to see what else Diablo lake has to offer.

4.5 Protected Stars

We meet most of these characters in book 1 and I enjoyed the story in that book wasnt a huge fan of the narrator but she didnt ruin that book by any means.

So when this book was coming out I was all about it and yay! I am so glad I listened to it, not only does Tantiana Sokolov do an amazing job but the story was awesome!

I love the dynamic between the witches and the shifters of this town. How they all work together to keep them all safe, and if one pack/clan is out of line it affects everyone.

Mac comes back after being away to be a better him for his pack he realizes its not going to be easy going against his family. But what I loved was that Aimee too, was kind of in limbo after a bad break up but when these two find each other its magic. :)

I love that they become this pair out to make their town what it is supposed to be. I just loved how they connected on all levels even when things were up in the air they knew that they would always be alright. <3

Swoony this is a fabulous addition to this series! Loved it recommend it, especially if you read book one.
