Becoming redundant

I gave this book a 3 star because I am getting a little bored with the redundant find mate, get pregnant. I wish we had a little different story and not everyone gets pregnant like right away. I still do enjoy the characters and hope Stricker finds a sweet girl, not a slut like him. Narrator did a good job.

Act Of Command

Corbin had the pressures of leadership--oh, yeah, and his mother who wanted grandchildren. Anxious to get him mated to accomplish her wish she set him up for a blind date. Just great. He didn't want to go and wished for an assignment--when the call for one came, he'd been distracted by the scent and sight of a beautiful woman.

Fast forward. The team wanted to rescue some supernaturals on the block for sale to unscrupulous people. When Corbin finds out one of them is the woman he'd stood up, he is devastated. Even more so when it seems she is more to him. Not willing to admit what.

Will they be on time to save the captives?

I read the book quite a while ago. Listening brought back fun memories and the excitement of the mission and mate-finding journey. To see such a controlled man lose it was well done. The comic relief, Striker and his mother, was funny all over again. You will love the eyebrow artist.

Well done. A four to the narration as the Brittish accent slipped a few times. Did not distract from the book or story at all though.

Another Ops book. Another great read/listen.

This story has tragic and fun and all between.

I found the story fun and enjoyable enough but while reading I found myself wanting more. Half of the book was spent on the characters being apart, dressing up or contemplating life.

Corbin and Mae were set on a blind date by their mothers. They are attracted to each other without knowing who they are.Corbin backs out and uses the impeding op to send Mae a message to cancel. Mae is kidnapped and kept in a facility.Eventually Corbin figures out Mae is his mate, looks for her, finds her and they mate.

Corbin remembered Jane and her daughter from an Op that happened 20+ years ago. The circumstances point that Mae is Jane daughter but nothing is being clarified.

Fun story - Awesome reader!

I have enjoyed every one of the Psi-Ops stories. They just keep getting better.

Main character is a joke

This girl is literally the most helpless main character ever. She complains about everything, makes terrible decisions, is only focused on how sexy the men in the story are, and only relies on whatever the men tell her to do, and not in a sexy dominance sort of way, just cringe worthy. The sex scenes arent even sexy so I wouldnt call this a romance or a fantasy. Just boring.

Addictive!

I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I purchased this book. I had eyed it for a while and finally took the plunge. I couldn't stop listening to this story!! The way it evolved and you got to see the characters grow and changed. There are so many love hate relationships in this! Alot of actions, sexual scenes with no sex for the sake of transferring the magic. It is intense! I wish I would have gotten this book sooner! And the rest of the series gets even better!! I love this author and the amazing worlds she creates! This is the 2nd series by her I have fallen head over heels for! Definitely a must read in my mind! Just get it! you wont regret it!

i have loved Boomer and his want to keep animals out of cages, to see him in his home was sweet, when his woman tries to kill him they find out her brotger is responsible for all the deaths thwy have been seeing and that Lance is still alive.

Were is the romance?

The story was entertaining what little of it was in the book. So much of the book was filled with fast and poorly written sexual content.

Wow it's fantastic

The third book in the Immortal Ops series and my favorite. Suspenseful and so well written. Great theme in the paranormal world.

Miles "Boomer" Walsh ,member of the PSI OPS had no past,no life on paper and could not be traced or found by anyone. He only exsisted in the here and now as Boomer a Cat/Shifter. He liked it that way and wanted it to stay that way.

Haven Carey had given up on ever finding the man responsible for killing her brother. But she was finally given information for who he was and where to find him. Not knowing she had been programed to find and kill Boomer she went on her killing mission. Not knowing she herself was to be killed when the mission was done or even if she failed. She only served a purpose.

When she found Boomers secret place ,a rehab sanctuary for animals,she started to wonder if just maybe she was wrong. How could someone who cared for these animals be a stone cold killer,brutal and sadistic. As were all the PSI OPS team. They all needed to die. She was told they like everyone human,or not like them.

But when she and Boomer met and got past what she was meant to do,something happened. Boomer had met his mate. Now he needed to convince her. But he had to keep her safe. And make sure no one killed him or his team.

The one called Master was determined the Psi OPS team would die. He had changed and enhanced shifters of all types to killing machines and those who did not do as he said died. His most trusted one ,Thor, hated the Master but also loved him due to the tampering of his mind. His job was to kill Haven. But he questioned the order.

I am reviewing these two audiobooks together because they are books 1 and 2 of a series and meant to be considered as a single ongoing story. The publishers committed two related unforgivable sins in the audio production of these works. Sin one was to change narrators between books one and two. Sin two was to be so careless as to change genders of the narrators between books one and two. WTF was on their beady little minds.

The first books romance is set between two 18 year old seniors, Jason and Riley, on a high school basketball team. This is appropriate for a first love romance. Then the author throws in a weird twist of making the more masculine figure a werewolf. The werewolf after declaring what he is abandons his love interest to go run with his pack several states away; leaving a huge cliffhanger of an ending.

The second book is set after graduation from high school and has nothing to do with basketball other than a reference as playing it in the past. A new sweet non-shape-snifter love story starts when boom, between heartbroken Jason and insecure but always faithful Rex. The story is interrupted when the werewolf Riley makes a sudden reappearance at the end bringing the story to a screeching halt. Is this a cliffhanger to a third book? WHO KNOWS? Based on the horrible change in narrators it is this reviewers opinion, who cares. The author obviously does not know whether she wants to write a sports teamed book or a shape-snifter book or a sweet and tender first true love book.

Love this series.......

I need to get used to a new narrator, especially being a male voice. Now just waiting for the rest of the series to be released on audible.

Another Wonderful Edition to Vampires in America

I have been waiting for this book to be in audio. I love this series and have listened to the first four many times.

In this book, Raphael's Lt and right hand man have decided to put the next phase of their plan into motion with Duncan taking over the D.C. residence of the Vampire Ambassador. Things are really rotten and Duncan finds that he needs to clean up the mess left by his predecessor.

And then there's Emma, another lawyer, working on capital hill and trying to find out what happened to her friend. Not so much fireworks (fights and arguments), but a steady attraction between two strong characters which was nice to "watch" unfold.

I was worried about the change in narrators as I have really enjoyed Traci Odom's narration, but Nick Russo has stepped up to the plate and hit one out of the ball park and is a wonderful edition to the Vampires in America family. I can also understand the change in narrators as the focus is shifting from Cyn and Raphael and onto new male vampires who each have back stories and battles of their own. In this book and those that follow, you hear from the male character as much if not more than the female lead.

I'm looking forward to the next audio book.

Love Nick J Russo - great narrator change!

I love Nick in his work with other authors and I bought this because I love his work so much. I'm a big DB Reynolds fan and he did her proud.

This is a fun series with a great new narrator!

I hope we see more of him!

The series is good, but I recommend that you read it rather than listen. I feel like the narrator must be the boss' daughter and no one had the nerve to tell her no. She needs to learn inflection, emotion, and punctuation.

Riviting

Carrie Ann Ryan keeps you on the edge the whole time. Wonderful series. Love it.

Intriguing Series

Carrie Ann Ryan has done an excellent job with this series. Each book has incorporated twists and turns in the plot that were unexpected and just draw the reader more fully into the story. Leah and Ryder are the perfect complement to each other and it's enjoyable seeing how they dance around each other.

The series continues in great form

Witches, covens, bad guys and romance. What more could you ask. I love shifter stories and this one did not disappoint. Carrie Ann Ryan spins a great yarn and Gregory Salinas does a great job with the narration. Totally worth a credit.

What did you love best about Mated in Mist?

Finally finding out about hte secret Ryder was hiding from everyone and what it represented. Then to find out that Leah was the secret to getting it resolved.

What did you like best about this story?

That Both were captured and quickly returned home

Which scene was your favorite?

The ending when Shane turned up at the sentries. I can see the next story is going to be great. another Trinity bond like the redwoods have. Questions is what did they do to Shane to make him a partial wolf and how is that going to affect the situtation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Compared to the rest of the stories I've heard from Carrie Ryan I didn't have any extreme reactions.

This is my second favorite book in this series!

The story is fun and I love the weaving of the characters from previous books in the series into this one. The narration is great!

I hate to series end! I hope there will be another

All the major loose ends were tied up nicely, but I would love to see another book set in this version of late 19th century London with all the characters I've grown so fond of. I heard that there is a spin off series and I look forward to checking it out. This book can be read/listened to as a stand a lone but you will enjoy it more if you start from beginning with Kiss of Steel. Love the steam punk, love the paranormal, but best of all are the characters. 2 thumbs way up!

Best one yet!

Possibly my favorite couple of a series that has something for everyone. Suspense, intrigue, steamy romance! Great narration.

Exciting conclusion.

I enjoyed this series very much. It had lots of action, romance, and a great steampunk world. This seemed like this was final book in this series. The final battle for the crown is set into motion and the true conspirator behind the humanist is revealed. We also get to have the newest member of Blade and Honoria's horde arrive, although not without some problems. My Lady Quicksilver was my favorite in this series but all the books are really good. I hope audible gets the other book that Bec McMaster has written, because I would definitely buy them. Maybe she will come up with a spin off involving all the werewolves from Russia. I recommending reading Meljean Brooks Iron Seas series if you like steampunk they are my favorite. Narrator was pretty good.

Excellent

Another good audio book. I've both read and listened to this whole series and enjoyed it immensely. This book was heart wrenching and exciting. A good ending to the series. There were a few parts where the plot dragged a little and a few too many Sex scenes for me. Of course if you enjoy them you'll probably love this book. The narration was excellent and brought the book to life in a whole new way.
