Title: Gertie's Paranormal Plantation: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy

Author: Melanie James

Narrator: Hollie Jackson

Format: Unabridged

Length: 4 hrs and 12 mins

Language: English

Release date: 08-11-15

Publisher: Melanie James

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 129 votes

Genres: Romance, Fantasy

Publisher's Summary:

"One thing I've learned about running a shelter for paranormal creatures, you can't afford to let your guard down. It all started when I welcomed an enchanting new guest to my plantation. Strange things started to happen. Well, more strange than usual. I was caught off guard by some conflicting feelings, and it spurred me on to get Brad, the love of my life, committed. To moving in with me, that is. In any case, I was willing to do whatever it took: love spells, black magic, and something so naughty I'd rather not mention it here. Nothing worked out quite the way I planned, and I ended up having to go to hell and back just to save my own self! If it wasn't for Marie Laveau and the rest of my friends, I wouldn't be able to share this tale with you in my memoir."

Critic Reviews:

"Wolf Trouble is a steamy, action-packed walk on the wild side!" (J. D. Tyler, author of The Alpha Pack series)

Members Reviews:

Sizzling with action, suspense and romance

So has anyone told you about the nice Whispersync for Voice, Audible Narration? Well if you havent heard of it, let me tell you its wonderful. Remember those days when you would listen to bedtimes stories, or maybe a teacher or librarian that would read aloud to you? Well, Im betting they arent as good as some of the voice actors that present the unabridged versions of books that are available. Wolf Troubles just happens to be one of them. In fact, all of the books in this series are available in Whispersync. Its great because you can either just listen to the story, follow along as its read or switch back and forth. The other great thing is that the price is majorly reduced when you buy the Whispersync version to go with the book rather than as just an audible file. Wolf Trouble is narrated by Abby Craden. She did a superb job and her voice modulation skills rock.

Wolf Trouble has been on my list to buy since before it came out and I hadnt been able to get to it. Then I found out the third in the series was coming out. It put me in panic mode because I wasnt caught up with the second let alone third coming out. You can guess what I did I hurried and bought Wolf Trouble then I stayed up all night listening to it. Was it worth the all-nighter? Oh, most definitely. I mean whats not to love? Hot, hunky SWAT officers that just happen to be alpha wolf shifters? Check. Feisty alpha females that are more than enough to give said alphas a run for their money? Check. Bullets flying, action and suspense mounting, heroic rescues, reprehensible criminals and dirty cops stirring up trouble Check, check, check well, you get the picture. All of this before you get to the building sexual tension and scorching hot love making. Needless to say, Im a bit addicted to stories of this nature.

Wolf Trouble is the story of what happens when the city of Dallas decides the best SWAT team in the country isnt politically correct because it doesnt have its requisite female officer. I mean forget whether the female is truly qualified or that hiring someone that doesnt fit not only put every other officers life at risk but those they serve as well. Lord save us from the bureaucrats and lawyers running city hall. The one saving grace? The pack alpha, Gage has had his eye on a gal he suspects is a werewolf like the rest of them for a while now. Looks like his timeline just got moved ahead a bit.

Xander has absolutely no problem dealing with a woman on his team, especially if she is in fact, a werewolf like the rest of them that is until Khaki Blake shows up in his squad room. One long whiff of Khaki and Xander knows hes in trouble.

Volume 4

What did you love best about Hunting Season?

Hunting Season was pretty good. We get to learn more about each of the characters, which I always appreciate. Well, the ending isnt nice and neat, since stuff still needs to get done, but for the most part it ends on a relatively calm note. To be continued.

4/4.5 "Change of Plans?" Stars!

4 "Change of Plans?" Stars for the story and 4.5 narration stars!

Please note this series must be read in chronological order, and the below review contains spoilers for earlier books. If you haven't yet started this series, please see my review for Book 1, Aurora Sky.

In Hunting Season we are treated to a whirlwind of action between the hunted and the hunters. The only question is just who is being hunted as more secrets begin to be revealed about the secret, clandestine government agency that Aurora and her fellow vampire hunters and informants work for. But suspense is only one part of the equation in this UF young adult/new adult based romance as the love triangle and fight for Aurora's heart begins to unravel and Aurora's own heart driven motivations begin to be revealed.

Picking up where book 3 leaves off, at the beginning of Hunting Season we find Aurora trying to figure out how she is going to rescue Dante (who has been captured by Jared's former protege turned enemy, Giselle in an attempt to get Aurora to turn over Jared in exchange for Dante). Unfortunately for Aurora, the government agency she works for isn't as motivated in Dante's recovery as she is (even though he too is one of their agents).

Title: The Alion King

Format: Unabridged

Length: 3 hrs and 28 mins

Language: English

Release date: 08-03-15

Publisher: Latin Goddess Press

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 206 votes

Genres: Romance, Fantasy

Publisher's Summary:

Isabella Barca is great at organizing - not so great at keeping her nose out of trouble. When Bella goes to work as Mrs. Wilder's assistant, the opportunity of a lifetime pops up: travel with Gerri to another planet, a shifter planet, and help Gerri find a lion king his mate.

Alyx Treyvaal isn't known for being patient. A lion doesn't ask for help. A lion doesn't apologize. And he most certainly does not purr. But once he meets Bella, he finds himself doing all of the above... except for purring. He will not purr.

With wolves stirring all kinds of trouble for them and a cousin who would like to shred Bella to ribbons, things are not simple for the couple. Not at all. One thing's for sure, when his mate is taken and threatened, the entire planet will hear the alion king's roar.

Members Reviews:

An interesting new angle

I am not sure how I feel about this turn of events. This went from a shifter dating agency series to something with a more sci-fi alien angle. I am still processing that change. It seems an odd jump, with the exception of Gerri, it is different kind of premise. I will have to keep moving forward with the series to see if I like the change. Right now, it is a bit jarring to switch gears.

I can tell you that the girl hasnt changed, in tried and true Milly fashion she is a curvy gal with lots of sass. Do not get me wrong, I like that type of gal, in fact they are my favorite heroines, the issues is they all feel the same in this series. I would just like a little change up other than a new name and job.

Bella and Alyx steam things up right away, boy howdy do they bring the steam!! Ya gotta love a shifter read cause they get to the smexy quicker, it is the whole mate angle. This is a scorcher with detail a plenty!! Get the ice cream, cold shower and snuggle buddy ready!!

I listened to the audiobook, Lauren Sweet is once again the narrator. I have said I the past how much I enjoy her read and swift pace. She never disappoints! I barely have to speed up the read because is pace is so brisk.

This new work holds much promise, and I already see the next two books heroes. It will be interesting to see how this new turn plays out in the series.

His Queen and her Lion King

This is the 6 book in the series. I started with book one and have worked my way up. Oh, dont worry this book works fine as a standalone, but I have not wanted to miss a thing. Previous characters from the previous book will be mention but it will not cause you to be lost if you have not read the previous books.

I used the whispersync with this story. I enjoy the narrator but there was a couple of times where a word would be added or taken away and also a time a word would be changed. There was also a time where the there was something should of been edited out like when the narrator stated she had no sound. But all in all I loved the narrator. I think she is a perfect pick for this series.

Isabella aka Bella is super funny. I just loved her. She has been hired as Gerri Wilders assistant. I loved when she tried to hide the talking tablet. Super funny.

Bella will get an opportunity of a life time. How super exciting to get the opportunity to travel to another planet. It had to be slightly scary as well not knowing what to expect.

Alyx Treyvaal was a lion shifter and he was King. Alyx was over confident and very prideful. He thought he could do things on his own.

Title: Yoga Bear Menage

Subtitle: Bear Fitness, Book 1

Author: Becca Fanning

Narrator: Audrey Lusk

Format: Unabridged

Length: 59 mins

Language: English

Release date: 07-28-15

Publisher: Becca Fanning

Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 21 votes

Genres: Romance, Fantasy

Publisher's Summary:

On my hands and knees, I felt two hungry mouths kiss and lick me back there. Two eager Shifter studs, hungry for me....

I never claimed to be great at yoga. It's strenuous and demands complete concentration. That's not too easy when an Alpha Male Shifter stud is your yoga instructor. A bear Shifter! Each class I'd do the best that I could, despite my curves.

Those gorgeous golden eyes. That strong, compassionate voice. I couldn't stop thinking about him. Sometimes I was sure he was speaking only to me. I kind of had a thing for him, if I'm being honest. But then I realized his attentions were elsewhere. A thinner blonde elsewhere, with fake tits, if you know what I mean.

So I quit. I'm not proud of it, but there it is. I'd just put him and his yoga class out of my mind when he sent me a letter. Offering me a private lesson. I was so angry at his audacity that with the help of some very strong tequila, I marched over to his place to give him a piece of my mind.

Then his stunning Shifter friend answered the door. Oh...oh my.

Members Reviews:

Cute short, hot story

I enjoyed this book. It was a steamy erotic audiobook that was only a little over an hour read. If you are looking for a quick turn on, then this book is for you. Becca Fanning did not disappoint. Don't really care for Audrey Lusk as a narrator.

wham bam thank you big mame

Big girl falls for yoga (bear shifter) instructor. Big girl get discouraged with yoga class and gets drunk. Finds herself at the handsome sexy shifter instructor's house with his young house mate.. And wham bam.. A short "hook up" story of 2 shifter white males with big white female. Worth a credit??? flip a coin

Too Short but steamy.

Liked the story. A quick listen before bed. Still too short. Not sure on #2.

Quick and sexy

Excellent narration. Loved her voice. The story was good. Quick and Sexy. Will listen to both narrator and author again.

This was not very good. The story was trite and predictable. The narration ok but unexciting.

Disappointed in this book !

It was a good read and I plan on reading the other 2 ...

This is about horse shifters. It was a good read and I plan on reading the other 2 parts. This is about horse shifters. Three guys live together and can shift into horses. They meed a girl and bring her home with them. One shifts into a horse and takes her on a ride around the large property they own. The other two shift and follow. One night there is a fire at their home. All the horses run away, after they have shifted. Now they need to be found and it continues in part 2 and part 3. If you enjoy stories like this it is for you.

Thoroughbred A Shifter Romance: Jessica's' Stable Part1

This is an interesting shifter story. Argo and Jessica man and woman or shifter? Readers will enjoy this different kind of shifter story. Thanks

One Hot Ride--I mean READ!

This is a hot one! This book is different from other shifter stories, because with horses, you can ride them. I never thought of that with a bear or a wolf, but wow. It's very sensual for Jessica to be on the horse's back, wind in her face, galloping along. She has quite a ride on him in horse form, and then he shifts, and, well. The ride is even better!

Members Reviews:

Surprised and Impressed!

I love it when a story not only meets my expectations, but exceeds it, and Tasha and Mason both far out exceeded any expectations I had on Reconstructed, book one in the Building a Hero series. The story and performance were both entertaining and refreshing.

This audiobook is a little under five hours long but was well written, moved at a steady pace and had very convincing characters. Each scene and chapter evolved naturally, and was not forced. While there is some action in the story, the main focus is developing the characters, and building up the plot.

In the beginning of the story, we are introduced to the main characters while at a private party West is throwing. He has requested for his personal assistant, Cornelia, to set up this party, to bring over a group of ballerina's to have fun, and sex with because hey it's on his bucket list. A picture is quickly painted on the type of man West is by how he takes advantage, and treats his assistants along with everyone else. He's arrogant and has an big ego because he's rich, and he can buy his way in life.

Cornelia needing the money to help support her family, works for West, and is really good at her job, but for her it's not all about the money, she honestly cares about West.

As the story progress, we witness a miracle! West slowly starts to change they way he thinks and reacts to the world; however, this is not an overnight process. Some of these changes are brought on by his feelings for Cornelia, as he starts to mold her and gives her a more active role in the business. Also, he starts to change due to his failed friendships and his passion for his company. It was entertaining and sometimes funny watching him grow, from a all around jerk to someone you could be proud of. West and Cornelia started reminding me of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts from Iron Man.

I really loved the plot, and how West and Cornelia's relationship developed, but it was Mason's performance that really brought the story and characters to life.

Cute quick read

Morphes to the rescue..... Love the way This series is written. Fast paced read but keeps the reader wanting more. Although since I am a big dark hunters fan it's hard to believe that Artemis is a nice god..... Great read.

A Grand story continues.

Kensi is a dream weaver and an assassion and has gotten herself in a pickle. A bounty has been put on her head: death

Crey in a Dragon shifter from a proud family and he she this as an easy catcheck and get her to the trubunal and maybe she can pleaded her case. Enter Crey's family as well as the family of Kensi. All hell breaks lose including some players from Hell.

This is a darn good in tall of the Dragon Shifters. Ms. Brumfield wields her pen intimately abd thus writing an engaging, action, packed, and moral testing tale.

Her protagonists and ataganists are given solid foundation and the story is vivid in its scenery,

You must read this, and other of this author's tales.

Accusation and Vindication

Kensey would much rather dance than go into the family business, but there are some thing we donât get to choose. When a contract is put out on her big sister Mariah for an unsanctioned kill, Kensey gets kidnapped by bounty hunter Trey Macgregor in a case of mistaken identity. Itâs mistake that will change both their lives.

In this novella originally published in the collection Alphas on the Prowl, Jami Brumfield takes us to mysterious dream worlds, introduces us to gods and godlings, shifters and a whole other world we never dreamed existed. Dragon Dream Dancer has its share of passion and romance, but itâs really an action story about wrongful accusation and vindication and the action will leave you wanting more.

Darkly Beautiful

I'm not sure where to start. As this story went along at the beginning I was unsure of it. But as it progressed it unfolded into something beautiful. Two people from 2 totally different worlds some how find their way to one another. You get to experience the development of the relationship and eventually their love inspite of something or someone constantly trying to rip them apart. Worth the credit or purchase. It is well written and the narrator did an awesome job with all the characters.

Love this!

I love the freshness of the dialog, the emotions you can feel as you listen.

Hate main character and language

If you love the f word and love to hate the main character then get the book

poor reading

the reader was very annoying to me, she kept pausing after every sentence for far too long as if she were reading directions instead of performing a dialogue, but the book in itself is awesome I loved the story and hope it gets a movie deal lol
