An ancient prophecy. A secret clan determined to see the world returned to war. A witch marked for death.
Ealasaid has just come of age when the devil clan binds her. They steal her name, her voice, and her virtue. Her magic suppressed, she is held in the dark for 10 long years, tortured and alone. She prays for a death she knows will never come.
Raven is a powerful warlock, but though he has made a name for himself as a finder and a protector, he is largely unfulfilled. When the Fates send him to the witch, he has only to touch her to discover that she is his mate, the one he is fated to love for all eternity. He must free her and protect her or his life will be over.
Once freed, Ealasaid fights against the darkness that still threatens. The fate of the world rests on her scarred shoulders, but with Raven by her side to share the burden, can she triumph?

    Publisher's Summary:
Teren Adams was everything Emma had ever wanted in a man - kind, caring, loyal, loving, and on occasion, a hopeless romantic. True, he was also a "little bit" vampire, and had recently joined the ranks of the undead, but to Emma, that wasnt important. She was his, he was hers, and she couldnt wait to be his wife, have his children, and stay by his side for as long as her mortal life would allow her to. At least...that was the plan.

    Slowing Down
The second book in a trilogy, Bloodlines continues the story of Emma and Teren as they come to grips with his life as a vampire and that of his family. I thought book one was clever and well done. I adore Piper Goodeve's narration and ability to portray multiple characters. Bloodlines was very good but not the 'page turner' of Conversion. It was a bit too long and went off the rails a time or two. However, it's still a very novel idea in the circle of vampire books and well done.
    Young Vampire Love Done Right
After reading book one, I knew I'd love this audiobook. The author and the narrator are both favorites of mine. And this part of the story was just as good as the first - now I can't wait for the next one. This was truly young vampire love done right.
Another great book in this fantastic vamp series!
If you could sum up Bloodlines in three words, what would they be?
    Incredibly unique goodness
What did you like best about this story?
I loved being drawn in deeper into this very realistic paranormal universe right along with Emma. It was a totally immersive read
Have you listened to any of Piper Goodeves other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. She animated the dense narrative of Teren and Emma's story flawlessly yet again.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Being a "little bit" vampire ain't so bad!
    Any additional comments?
The first time that Emma and Teren discovered the compulsion to get all up in each other's space was one of my favorite scenes. And the subsequent reunion scenes just kept getting better. I also enjoyed random things like Emma's bachelorette party, Teren when he pretended to be drunk, and "hot" Ben's pivotal role in this sequel. I am so excited to read 'Til Death next in what has quickly become one of my all time favorite vampire series.
    I love this series!
This is a romantic fantasy series but it has such a different overall theme. If you read/listened to the 1st book in the trilogy and liked it, you'll love this one too. The books need to be read in order, they are not standalone books and each book builds from the last. Definitely worth the credits to get all 3, I've listened to it several times :-)

Robin D Owens and Celta always deliver
Would you listen to Heart Fate again? Why?
Yes. I have. Not only on Audible but in book form, too.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like both the main characters. I like them together. I wasn't so crazy about the long, drawn-out divorce saga with a minor character.
What does Noah Michael Levine bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
I like making personalities real by hearing the voice. I was not wild about Larson's voice, however. Too girlish, no growth.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I found this book made me go and research our own earthly herbs and their uses. Little used or appreciated these days, I enjoyed finding their value again. Now if I only had flair...
    Any additional comments?
Robin D. Owens is my all-time favorite authoress. Love her, lover her books. Even her not-as-good-as-the-other-books are greater than most other books out there. Thanks, Ms. Owens.
    Good story, troublesome narration
I've njoyed the Celta heart stories. The author builds an interesting world, the emotions and circumstances of the characters are complex and realistic enough and the touch of magic is creative. The logic of the stories holds up and the world from story to story seems consistent. This particular story exposes domestic abuse and how this world as well as our own seems to look the other way. The heroine is very young and she seems to mature in a realistic way; the hero is also maturing and in a similar way. So, the story was interesting and satisfying. The difficulty for me was the narration. The narrator has a pleasing voice and if he had just used that voice without going into dialect, I would have enjoyed it more. It was jarring to hear an Asian dialect, a Scots dialect, etc when these folks have been on Celta for over 400 years. Why would they still be speaking in dialect? It wasn't logical to me and detracted enormously from my enjoyment of the reading. Here's hoping he tones it down in successive readings.

Love It! Humor, Action, and Romance!
This was my first book by Mandy M. Roth's, and it exceeded my expectations! I loved everything about Act of Mercy; the characters, plot, witty dialogue, action, romance and narration. I especially liked the colorful cast of characters, and their playful bantering with each other. Duke and Mercy may have been as different as night and day, but were true mates. It was HILARIOUS when these two first met. However, I do wish the story could have been a little bit longer. Mandy did such a great job creating the characters and plot, I wanted to hear more, and was not ready for the story to end. I do plan on listening to the others in the series.
The narration was AWESOME! I've listen to Mason Lloyd narrate different types of romances and while this story may be part of his earlier performances, it "show cases" his talent. I loved how he was able to perform the wide range of characters, along with their various accents and emotions smoothly. His performance really enhanced the overall audiobook experience.
    Action Packed
Loved this book. The story was great and the characters were well developed. The narrator brought the characters to life. Mason Lloyd is a great narrator. this was the first book that i have read in this series. I will be reading/listening to more of this series.
The Psi ops are a group of soldier that are different types of shifters/paranormal guys. This story is about Duke who is kinda of arrogant, don't like computers, flying etc. He hates most everything. Then they gone a rescue mission in Paris after receiving information about a company that is experimenting with humans, animals and shifters. One of there friends is a prisoner there and one of the scientist doctors, Merci, finds out what is going on and befriends their friend James. She is determined to save him and the others being experimented on including animals. Duke soon learns she is his mate. They both are attracted to each when he has to save her right after they got to Paris from the company she works for. They sent assassins to kill her at her apartment.
    Mercy is not a pushover.

The Wolvers is a Shifter story Not to miss
What made the experience of listening to The Alpha's Mate the most enjoyable?
When I read the summary I thought was, oh yeah just another wham bam shifter story, girl meets shifter falls madly in love jumps between the sheets kind a story.I was pleasantly surprised that it actually had a good plot and a real story to this one.BEST OF ALL a stronger lead female who wasn't just goanna run and cry for big bad shifter to save her but was happy to pick up a gun and stand her ground. Proving to everyone around her in the small town of rabbit Creak why she was perfect to be the Alphas mate.A great story, good plot, great description of the sort of scenery characters are set in, strong female lead and a good narrator.I recommend THE ALPHAS MATE to those looking for more than just sex, sex, sex in a shifter story.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Alpha's Mate?
One of the moments I liked the most was when reveals to Henry that he doesn't need to worry that she knows everything that is going on between him and Marshall Goodman and that there is nothing to be ashamed of about being Gay. The shock that follows was absolute hilarious when Henry informs her that if would be fine if they were gay but they aren't, next he questions her on how many people she told about him and Marshal Goodman. Its so funny I could not stop laughing.
    Which scene was your favorite?
I think that would have to be one of most favourite scenes in the book,
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did want to listen to all in one sitting in fact I had to listen to it two more times I loved it that much.
    Any additional comments?
If you are looking for a real good shifter story with plot, character , drama and comedy with that bit of passion happening then this is a must for you.
    NARRATION? YES. IT MATTERS!!
I love Jacqueline Rhoades. She's an outstanding author who gives such wonderfully full story lines. I would recommend any book she writes. I will NOT give Leah Frederick (Narrator) another listen!! Because narration in an audiobook is EVERYTHING!!
Her voice is high pitched and it just hurt me to listen. I tried. Honest.
So, listen to the full sample listen before deciding to buy or not.
    Entertaining story.

    Publisher's Summary:
In HeartMate, Robin D. Owens swept us away to the planet Celta, where psychic talents are the key to life - and love. Midwest Book Review predicted that listeners "will want Ms. Owens to return to Celta for more tales." And the prophesy has come true - with Heart Thief....
Ruis Elder never asked for his unusual trait - the ability to neutralize others' psychic talents. Because of it, he has always been hated in his own homeland, destined to roam the harsh planet alone. But trouble finds him in front of the ruling Council - and face-to-face with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. There's only one problem: Ailim is on the opposite side of the bench....
Ailim has never before felt such passion coursing through her as she feels in Ruis' presence. And she never thought she would - at least not with a man so far beneath her station, a man who does not even have psychic powers. But even on the planet Celta, love is blind to such details. Separately, Ailim and Ruis must forgo their old lives. But together, they can take on the world....

Can't wait for the rest of the series!
Would you consider the audio edition of Heart Thief to be better than the print version?
Yes! The narrator captures the different voices perfectly! Ruis is very cultivated, T'Ash is very abrupt, Samba is very playful and Zanth is annoying.
Love, love, love this series of books!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. This is a much beloved series and am looking forward to the next in the series.
What other book might you compare Heart Thief to and why?
Heart Mate, because it is the first in the series
What does Noah Michael Levine bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
    Emotion
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes
    Any additional comments?
I sincerely hope they release all the books in the series
    Null Heartmates.
While I liked this book, it took a while for anything to really happen. The first part was Ruis arrest and then it was a slow budding romance. While good I tend to like a bit more to my stories. The second half was better but the ending was a bit confusing as an audio, a lot of the characters names sound similar and I had to rewind a bit to figure out what was happening. I like all the animals/fams in the book. I also like the world building and am going to try another book sometime in the future, this series is just not one I want to listen to the books back to back. Narrator does a better job in this book than in Heartmate.
    Yea for Robin D Owens
So glad Robin's books are finally on audio. Love ALL her writings. The narration is good but would be just that much better with a male and female narrating

"There's never any doubt the heroine and hero will get their happy ending." (RT Book Reviews)
    Members Reviews:
Ok, but I felt like I was misled on the recommendation.
I chose this book because I really enjoyed Darynda Jones' Charlie Davidson series and this was recommended as a read-alike. While I can see the "snarky heroine" similarity, it ends there. It seemed the tone of the writing was more juvenile; the hero was a kind of "gee willakers" I hope I get the girl kind of guy.
Dawn's Review of How to Date a Dragon, Book 2
I really enjoyed this book! The narrator was fabulous and really made the story come alive. The way that the author wrote the characters had me laughing out loud a lot!
The story is about a woman named Bliss who is trying to win a TV show competition for cards. Her attitude comes out in everyone that she writes (Hallsnark). The male role is played by Drake. He's a fireman with an added bonus of being fire proof because he's a Dragon.
One night Bliss's building catches on fire and Drake is on the scene. After he brings her to safety, she convinces him to go back in and rescue her laptop from her apartment. He does, but gets in trouble for it. While he's on suspension, Bliss drops off one of her Hallsnark cards as a thank you and an apology.
When she takes a job as a part-time cocktail waitress and moves into the apartment above the bar to make ends meet and have a place to live. Drake comes in with flowers for her and gets another Dragon that had her eyes on him jealous. She starts setting fires all around the city so that she can drive everyone crazy and then kidnaps Bliss. Bliss gets rescued by a God and the other Dragon is pissed!
I'm not going to ruin the ending of the book. It made me laugh out loud. I loved Bliss's scene of humor.
    Don't waste your money
The reader did a good job but this story was just to awful.... I authors attempt at a quirky funny PR romance ended up being more ridiculous and annoying than anything else. It felt like the author either didn't give a crap or was trying to hard to be edgy. Honestly, i felt like i was reading a fanfic written by some 14 year old girl. The female lead is annoying and ridiculous; the male lead is bland and boring; I couldn't take the villain seriously... the plot was also all over the place. I couldn't even make myself finish it.
    Okay
A good story but does go on a bit. The reader murdered the accents which was annoying but managed to make the sexy bits some what listenable.

    Genres: Romance, Fantasy
    Publisher's Summary:
First Glen Duncan gave us his monstrously thrilling, genre-reinventing The Last Werewolf: the tale of Jake, a werewolf with a profoundly human heart, considering bringing to an end the timeless legend of his kind.... Then Talulla Rising: Jakes werewolf lover, mother to newborn twins, on the run from those who want her destroyed... And now By Blood We Live: a stunningly erotic love story that gives us the final battle for survival between werewolves and vampires, and one last searing - and brilliantly ironic - look at what it means to be, or not to be, human.
The story opens: Talulla has settled into an uneasy equilibrium. With her twins safely at her side, and the devotion of her lover, Walker, she has what appears to be a normal family life - except for their monthly transformation into werewolves hungry for human flesh. But even this hard-won, tenuous peace is undermined for Talulla by nagging thoughts of Remshi, the 20,000-year-old vampire who haunts her dreams. For his part, Remshi cant escape the feeling that he knows Talulla from many (many, many) years before. Still, they have their distractions: Talulla is being pursued by a fanatical, Vatican-based Christian cult, and Remshi is following a trail of reckless feedings by a newly turned vampire bent on revenge. But, as the novel unfolds, Talulla and Remshi are inexorably drawn to each other - and toward the moment when an ancient prophecy may finally come to pass.
    Critic Reviews:
"Once more, Duncans elegant, striking prose is the star in his enthralling conclusion to the Last Werewolf trilogy.... There are plenty of battles, blood, and sexy escapades; but the real treat continues to be Duncans beautifully twisted way with language and the profound thesis he poses about humanity. Defiant and dramatic to the last, Duncan wraps up his finale with a flourish." (Booklist)

    What a dumpster fire
Is there anything you would change about this book?
the entire plot is all over the place. Compared to Duncan's first two books, I was totally disinterested in what happened to all the players in this book.
What was most disappointing about Glen Duncans story?
Another books that tries to get a vampire and werewolf to be lovers. What blazing originality. Glen Duncan lowered himself to tween plot lines. The first two books I couldn't stop listening to. This book I had to make myself finish. Just because you cuss a lot and have graphic language doesn't mean it's an adult book.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Didn't have a problem with the narrators.
What would have made this romance irresistible?
    Re: no more vampire/werewolf romances.
    Any additional comments?
Might has well called this Twilight Part VI (or whatever the fuck they're on). Duncan's first two books were spot on about ADULT themed supernatural fiction, but this third book should be placed in the young adult section (minus graphic language).
    A stand-out from page one!
Boys and girls; this, *this* is a literary orgasmic experience:
The last moment before the bite is like the last moment before coming: stopped time and shrugged-off space, an instant of seeing how it is for God. Its why people in sexual extremis say Oh, God. Its not a cry to the Divine, its a recognition of their own divinity.
