Not what I expected!

What would have made Blood Assassin better?

More action by the main characters Serra and Fane. The story started out slow and I thought the pace would eventually pick up but it never happened. I agree with one of the other reviewers Serra is supposed to be a powerful psychic but she gets her butt kicked throughout the book and whines incessantly. Fane is a major badass Sentinel but his character never really displays why he is so respected and feared.

Would you ever listen to anything by Alexandra Ivy again?

Yes, I am a big fan of this author and I have all of her Darkness series books. The story and the narration is not as good as the previous books.

How could the performance have been better?

Better dialogue and a different narrator might make this a better listening experience.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment is foremost in my mind when I recall listening to this audiobook. This story is about two paranormal beings trying to rescue a kidnapped human child and the journey to find her. I felt sad for the child's suffering but the book was slow paced and kind of boring. The romance between Serra and Fame is okay but not very hot.

I love this author and will buy more of her books. But, this is the first time that I fast forwarded one of her audio book.

This was a very good story. I really liked Serra and thought she did really well as a heroine. I really didn't get Fane's reasoning on certain things but I still liked him overall. The story was a good mix of action and romance and I never felt like the story got boring, I stayed engaged the whole way through.

Serra is a "high born" (a human with special powers) that is a very strong psychic. She was born to human parents but was lucky that they loved her regardless of her powers and spent a lot of time with Serra even after she went to live at Valhalla. Serra has loved Fane for 15 years but although he seems to be attracted to her, he wont allow them to be close at all. Serra has tried to move on with other men but has no success in finding a man that's anywhere near as attractive to Serra as Fane is.

Fane is a guardian sentinel, which is a high born that's been trained in everything needed to guard another high born that cant' protect themselves.

I liked the first two books in the series, but this one was painful to get through. I found Phia insufferable, ill-tempered, childish and ignorant through most of the book. I had to listed to it on 2X just to get through it. Books 2 and 3 make me crave being an only child, for poor Layla has two self absorbed knuckleheads for sisters. This sister, Phia was just way overboard to me. I cannot understand why Jax liked her at all, as she was so rude and obnoxious for most of the story. I am still interested in the story, especially as its a series that goes on for several more books, but i don't know if i can take another story featuring Phia. I really wanted to reach through Audible and punch her in the face. Honestly, I think the author can do better now. 3 in a row of similar one, although different extremes of recklessness with each one. I hope the next one is more about what is going on in Blackthorn and less about all the fighting and ridiculous battle of the sexes. That was exhausting - Speed 2x!!!

Can't get enough of the Blackford Series

Another great book and fantastic narrator! Looking forward to the next installment in this series and more books from Lindsay J. Pryor.

Love the twist

I'm enjoying this series and I'm looking forward to the next instalment it has a great twist on the normal vampire where wolf book. They are the underdogs. I love the slow burn of the books on how things are going to false them to take a stand if they can. But being set in there ways won't make it easy as they will have to somehow trust the other key players to do it.

Amazing Story told with amazing voice

What made the experience of listening to Claimed by the Alphas: Complete Edition the most enjoyable?

I loved the entire book from beginning to end, i loved way he changed his voice inflection with each characters voice verse written parts was easy to listen to and very pleasurable i will listen to again later down line.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Caim is my favorite character you would think it be main lady but He is the quiet gruff guy who comes off as prickly and rough but under it all he is really loving guy just not big hug-able bear type

There alot of scene i like but when Dawn eat the butterfly well, ya love that. I love the ah love scenes wont go into detail there nope. I also love fact she brought hair dryer and other electronics to the den.

I did want to Listen to it in one setting but it long track and i couldn't i had break it up into 3 days

I love this author period she has other written works that worthy of reading, and i will be glad to listen to anything she has produced in future, i will also look for other book the mans has voiced over.

Nothing special

I got this book based on a glowing review of someone I usually agree with, sadly this time we disagree. While it wasn't a bad book nothing really happened. It can be summed up by saying one girl, two alphas that agree to share the one girl for the good of the pack...but even the hot scenes weren't too hot...and the girls job is to make babies and not complain that she has to live in a cave.

The narrator was male, therefor all the females sounded like males, and the one male sounded like a robot, which may or may not have been character based...either way it didn't work for me.

I would pass on this book, maybe get it when it is $4.95 some time, but not worth a buy or a credit.

Lots of Sex, then more sex, Is that bad?

Here goes I did finish this listen and some parts were very, very HOT, literally not steamy, freakin' panty dropping hot. This could be erotica for the 50 shades type girl or even BDB (which I am both). Began with good plot then went into choosing, then not choosing, then angst between the Alphas, and well....... lots of pack dynamics. For me too many for one listen would like more in between sex scenes.

This is the first book that I have listened to that was written by Viola - can't wait to get to the next one. I really enjoyed this book. Lots of steamy scenes and good plot.

Exciting conclusion to "The Crusader" series

This story is an exciting love story that crosses the boundaries of time. Kathryn Le Veque's style of writing weaves a tale of love, faith, adventure, and family with hints of deja vu throughout the story.

Brian J Gill does a nice job narrating. There are, however, some narration editing mistakes in this book one of which is actually quite funny!

I recommend this series if you love a good medieval adventure with time travel. ;-)

One of the best

This is the second book of the crusader. A wonderful time travel series with biblical content.

Narrator did a great job. If you don't listen to this series you are really missing out. Well worth money or credit. A real must listen to.

Good Storyline

This is the first in a series by Andie Devaux. The story about weretigers is interesting and leaves you wanting to move to the next book in the series.

I hate that this book is broken up into "serial fashion" and each small edition is so costly.

LOVE IT!

Would you consider the audio edition of Heart Fire to be better than the print version?

I love this series SO much that I did something unprecedented for me. I bought Heart Fire in print, ebook, and audio. I have all of the series in print, so that version went on my keeper shelf. I bought the ebook so I could start reading as soon as the book downloaded, and I bought the audio book to listen to on my drive to work, so I wouldn't have to stop the story.

I loved going back and forth between the audio book and the ebook. Noah Michael Levine does an awesome job of narrating this series. I'm enjoying working my way through the audio book versions, although I've read the print books many times. Hearing a familiar story brings out new details and nuances that I might have missed when reading.

I'm going through withdrawals. I want to go back to Celtia!

Steamy! Hot! Did I say Hot!

Well let me start off by this is one audio that you shouldnt listen in the car like I did. This is one hot werewolf love story. Becca Jamesons short 3+ hour audio read by Meghan Kelly was a really well written short story about the werewolf clans selecting their soul mates.

Plot: So families with their teenage children go to the wolf gathering to have the male werewolfs pick their female mates for life. Well for one girl, Mackenzie Davis, her mother drags her to this years gathering against her wishes for she has a human boyfriend. She does not want a wolf mate. Her boyfriend calls in that morning to cancel there get together that day. So Mackenzie (all call her Mac) agrees Only one day mom! Not ready to expose a hidden secret that she has held in from on previous wolf gathering. Her main reason for not wanting a wolf mate but, not willing to share with her mother about it. What Mac was not ready for was him!

Drake Shelton from Texas just like Mac he does not want a mate. He wants to be a certified bachelor. All he could think of is that girl that eluded him on the last Gathering as she was being taken out of the room by another. Little did he know that she did not succumb to the other wolf? Or his not so charms.

But, as he enters the room can it be true! He smells her scent. No cant be she was taken or was she? Mac annoyed with the festivities leaves the room to be alone. She passes Drake and he could not let her get away this time. Calling her boyfriend she comes to learn what her sister has been saying for weeks. He tells her that he is gay. As Drake goes out to speak to her. Mac can feel the sparks begin to fly between them.

This cannot be, thinks Mac. She just found out her boyfriend is gay and how could she be attracted to a wolf! What happens next is something both of them well Mackenzie does not want to admit to. Drake is so pumped up by her that he is having a difficult time containing himself. But, he does.

After her moments with Drake, Mackenzie decides that she does not want go the next day to the gathering. She could not face Drake after the events of the day before. It just was not right she cant be attracted to him. Little does she know that her sister the day before gave Drake their address and he shows up on her door step. He makes her a proposition that she reluctantly agrees to go back to Texas with him.

This audio was so sexy as narrated by Valerie Gilbert!!! The characters came to life like never before. This was another awesome book. Roxie and Chase are wolves, hybrids, and immortals.. who are also very powerful mates. I adore shifter stories and this did not disappoint!!!

I like Toby are able to find out about the other people on the other books and how and why the mom left one twin and kept the other. There was a lot of twists and turns and I loved every moment of it

Roxie is my favorite, she is so independent and bad ass! I could really connect with her. the whole Dracula part from the first book really gets pulled together in this book. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal romance!

The end of Dracula?

One more good story. Love how we get to hear and or see some of the others from earlier books. Since Dracula as been caught, brain wash and returned to his castle I guess this is the last of the series.

Didn't like that more than 2 hrs are used to promote other books...The story is actually 8 hrs not 10.

This is my first time listening to this one but I have read the series twice! I've fallen in love with the characters - I would love to see them in a movie - great stories - great characters!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I was already a fan of Sydney Addae's LaPatron series, so I was excited to try the audio. Truth is I haven't liked the IR audibles I've tried lately, but this one was really good, better narration than BK 1.

What was one of the most memorable moments of BirthControl?

The narration for Jasmine was great, her attitude, passion, and gentleness came through in the reading. It made the story sooo much more enjoyable to hear.
