There were many in this one...this book really pulls on the old heartstrings!!! I think my fave was when he finally finds Alisa, and she can barely speak...and she says I love you!

Just wow...this was my fave of the series so far...Koen and Alisa are just meant to be...I was a bit confused with some of the accent changes for Koen and Tamsen...but I got over it quickly...This book had like 3 story lines....the main one being Koen and Alisa...he finally finds her and they get the chance to fall in love...Jacob, Starla, and Ahmos almost dont get to have there son...and Tamsen learns about her evil twin....no wonder she was so insane...I really like Tamsen's character...I am glad they decided to help her...she has turned into a very important part of the family!!!

I recommend...love this series!!!

The worst book I have ever listened to!

OMG, no plot, whatever exists of a story is so not worth telling,implausible, stupid dialogue. The author repeats the word "lame" three times to show the narrators amazement at her own stupidity. "Lame" is a real good word to describe this book.

Nothing happens and then the most confusing plot turns develop and go nowhere isBoring characterizations. Ridiculous attempt at romance, filled with obsessive physical attraction only. I cannot believe that there is a sequel to this book. I heard the book through audible. The narrator is absolutely amateur, terrible character voices, poor acting,practically no inflection. I knew from the start that I was in trouble as she is not believable. She is even bored with the book.I'm sure Julia Weylan refused the job.

DIFFERENT, ENTERTAINING & AN ADDICTIVE PNR LISTEN

Hudson is an elite Warrior who's1200 years old and for 211 of those years he's been on Earth tracking down, fighting and killing the Colonists who are evil beings from the Six Saviours home Planet SR 44 who are now breeding with Humans so the hunt is endless and he's had enough. They have one mate and Hudson's mate never loved him so, heartbroken and depressed, he plans to end all his pain and his life. But fate has a different plan in store for him, one that will start off in torture and pain but will end in happiness beyond his wildest dreams.

I love these Savior stories, the commerarderie between all of them, their special abilities and, of course, their raw sex appeal which is off the charts as they are all handsome and virile. Beverley has been struck off and lost her Medical Licence because of drug abuse so she is no longer a Doctor and with no family and no ties she's adrift in the world.... until she's swayed into helping a beaten and bloody Hudson.

Sparks fly, there's sexual tension, passion ignites leading to sex and deep feelings but denial, regrets and fear makes Hudson force Beverley away 'for her own sake'. The mad Colonist is just watching and waiting for the chance to kill them all. Beverley is forced back with news that's going to shock everyone but most importantly will it finally heal Hudson's broken heart.

Worth a credit? For PNR lovers this series is a must and, as I'm one of those, I vote YES a very enjoyable, imaginative, addictive, well written and narrated listen which was well worth one of my credits. It's so well described that it could be a stand-alone listen but you'd be missing out on the full story including a mesmerising detailed first hand description of the Planet SR44.

A Very Enjoyable Paranormal Romance!

What did you love best about Cougar's Mate?

I loved the story, the setting and the characters! I especially liked that both characters essentially needed saving - in different ways. I also enjoy the little tidbits that Terry adds to make her paranormals seem so real.

What other book might you compare Cougar's Mate to and why?

Any of Terry's paranormal romances would be comparable. Terry is one of my very favorite authors. I've loved everything I've read that she's written from her paranormals to her fantasies to her Highland romances and more. Her books are always excellently written with an addictive solid plot and likeable, genuine characters. This one alternately made me laugh, held me riveted to the suspenseful moments and swooning at the steamy passages. I can't wait to return to Yuma and catch up with this series!

What does Laura Jennings bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

I actually read the first half of this book and listened to the last half. Both editions were very good and I am happy to report that I had absolutely no issues switching between the two. If I had to choose between the two, I preferred the audio, but only because the narrator's interpretation added another layer of pleasure to the story.

This was the first book I've ever listened to that Laura had narrated and I was quite impressed with her performance. She has a pleasant, clear voice and differentiated between the characters with aplomb. Her delivery was natural and her pacing was right on.

This is total PNR and unique...I loved it...I wasn't sure after book one...but was intrigued...and I am glad I went on to book 2....dragged me right in!

Pyper is a great narrator, her accents are so good...I am quite impressed!

The author gave me the first book in this series, after I enjoyed her Charlie Quinn story..Last Best Hope...and now I am moving on to book3...this is a creative world, and the vampires are nothing like you will ever come across...they are very unique...This is Cherise's story after the big fight in book 1 and Cherise is a very interesting lady...I found it quite enjoyable and I highly recommend!

At first, I was annoyed with the heroine's attitude even though I knew from reading the first book, where she was coming from. However, I got over it as I listened. Loved David, and truly felt for him.

Another Great Story from Nancy Straight!

Having read the entire Touched Series as each book was published, I've really enjoyed being able to listen to these stories on audiobook. Teri Schnaubelt has such a talent for bringing Nancy's stories to life. Her various accents and tones really help paint a wonderful picture in my mind. The character's are more vibrant and truly take on a life of their own through the narration.

The story continues with Drake and Cami making their way to the Centaur Council to fight for the Lost Herd's acceptance back into the Centaur world. Along the way, we meet new character's and spend time with some old characters we grow even closer to! This story definitely has some great moments that are heartfelt and emotional. Fans will not be disappointed with this installment.

I have listened to books 1 and 2. Great fantasy audiobooks. The saga continues and with each chapter the excitement builds. Although it was hard to put the book down, I had to get some rest because the story leaves your heart palpitating! The author manages to touch different emotions simultaneously--love, anger, sympathy, humor. Can't wait to see how it all ends.

Would you consider the audio edition of Centaur Rivalry to be better than the print version?

Absolutely! Print books can't even compete with the audio version. The narrator did a fabulous job once again. The accents, the voices, the proper pronunciations, the excitement! No way can I get any of that from reading a book on my own. An audiobook is like listening to a movie only better as we all know the book is always better!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Centaur Rivalry?

I loved it when Daniel made Drake so angry that he changed back into a man. Daniel did this as a favor for Cami, his best friend that he also loves. That moment when Drake was once again a man was awesome! I was so happy to see Cami happy again!

Which scene was your favorite?

In the end, when all of Cami's family stood together to fight off the Enforcers. When Cami sent the last Enforcer to go back and deliver a message that the Lost Herd is coming back, accept them or else!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Mythology at it's finest!

I just love this series! I love the narrator's multiple voices in it. I love all the excitement and all the references to mythology. I love the excitement in this book and the entire series! The author, Nancy Straight did a fantastic job once again, keeping me glued to my seat listening to this book.

nice introduction into Roths paranormal romances

I never quite know what Ill get with a Mandy Roth title, beyond the smart-mouthed comments and some incredibly hot and sexy scenes, the layering of her characters with otherworldly traits, unique settings and inherent conflicts can be set anywhere: from real-world to outer space.

Madelyn and Brady are friends, roommates and absolutely adorable together. Madelyn is a guardian, protection of the innocents with her not insignificant fighting skills. Brady is the latest Hollywood hot thing, an actor that works for Madelyns father. The only person to know Madys secret Brady is that stand-up guy that you want in your corner, and that is her main reason she isnt willing to endanger the relationship that they had with sexual games. But they do, at first, dance to that cliff and back in nearly every interaction.

Not only is Madelyn the only woman in guardians history it seems that everyone is keeping secrets from her. And as kick-ass as she is, and able to manage just about every challenge she faces in her efforts to protect the innocents, she just cant seem to put all the pieces together.

And then, the revelations starting coming fast and furious- and here I thought Mady was a little off. Thinking she had to manage it all, and believing that those who knew her secret didnt understand her, when the pieces start to fall in for her, she is far too complacent in her reaction. A temper tantrum, some smart ass comments, even a few punches would have felt better for me. But, this led the story into the well-developed and still transforming relationship between her and Brady, and from the seriously palpable sexual tension that was unfulfilled, we move into some incredibly inventive and steamy moments with plenty of heat and action to spur the imagination.

Narration in this story is provided by Sarah Van Sweden. Her tone is pleasant and her speech is clear, and while the performance starts with only small modulations in tone and pacing to delineate each character, those changes became more pronounced as the story progressed and worked to smoothly set Brady and Madelyn separate from the other characters that were introduced. What I did notice was a decided lack of performance in the narration: concise and clear speech is necessary for the listener, but the tiny pauses as each single syllable and word is enunciated ( slowly I faced them ) left me knowing that the text was being read.

loved this book and with the audio. but I wish she could have done a better job with the male voices. overall I love this book.

The Narration ruins a Great Story

Read the book it is so much better when read than audio... They need to spend more on talent ... Love the storyline

The narrator is terrible only the story kept me listening.. She was completely monotoned.

Silas rubbed me the wrong way upon meetinghim the first ti.e. Shannon is a typical over protective mother. More could be on my horizonfor this series. I'm not sure yet.

Set up but not enough story here....

Well.....hmmmm....seemed like an interesting story line to get things moving...except it doesn't follow any formats. You know, plot development, climax, resolution. Nope, not here. Just bits and pieces of unassembled dialog. It just didn't get pulled together. And what made it together wasn't enough to create interest let alone drama.
