So the book is actually quite entertaining. But it just stopped. I kept waiting for the romance...for the story. It just stopped. Now I have to decide if I want to download the next book to find out if anything happens. Did the author just run out of time? So weird.

An enjoyable romantic suspense/mystery. I was drawn in immediately by the writing, mystery and intriguing characters. The way all of the crazy and seemingly unrelated mysterious events came together was amazing. What I didn't care for was the rhetorical questions Jesse or Sascha asked themselves during inner monologues. Personally, I found it slightly annoying, but it was easily overlooked when viewing the story overall.

Cute Dog, Strong Women, Thin Plot

Although the writing was excellent and most of the characters were interesting, the plot of Tangled Lies made no sense. Set in Safe Harbor on the Florida gulf coast, the town residents were mostly racist, judgmental and mean-spirited - not a place where any sane or caring person would want to raise a family.

Marina owners Rosa and Sal had a 3 year old son who disappeared 23 years earlier, never to be found. At some point, Rosa and Sal became foster parents to 4 teen girls but never adopted them; no background given on how Russian orphan Sasha ended up in Florida or how the other abandoned girls were placed in their care.

The real problem: Sal, who had been threatened by drug smugglers who were running drugs through his property, knew his son had been taken by criminals yet never reported his suspicions to the State Police, FBI OR DEA. No, Sal continued to live at the marina, with his wife and vulnerable daughters and allowed dangerous drugs to be distributed.

While I appreciated the lack of curse words and explicit sex scenes, I did not get the Christian vibe that other reviewers mentioned. People making stupid, impulsive and immature decisions then praying for God to rescue them is not true spirituality. Using our God-given intelligence to solve problems and help those less fortunate is...

Story was long and drawn out

The narrator was very creative although it was hard to tell who was who at times. Story was long and drawn out and farfetched.

Well written and twisted plot

I really enjoyed this book. My o lily complaint was how feminine the main male role sounded. Sometimes I had a hard time picking out who was saying what because there wasn't that much change in the voices between the male and female inflections.

I'll Never Forget This Book

Never before have I read books with so many ethical dilemmas but this series packs a punch. With everything fighting against them, this couple was meant to be. Hedd we get thier HEA. Great book with good narration.

Epic Ending!

I've been anxiously waiting for this to release. I wanted to know how Katie and Will's (Ethan) story turns out. OMG! Was it ever so epic! I really didn't know what to expect as far as the story playing out. I was just worried about how Katie dealt with the news that Ethan is Will.

The whole thing with Lisa and Aaron and the interviews had me all over the place.

I did enjoy reading this, well, I listened to the majority of it but just the same.

I enjoyed the narrators and thought they did a seamless job.

The story was a little predictable but very well written and the narration was good. A series worth listening to.

Strength after Tragedy... And still finds love!

Part 2 just keeps bringing on more emotion. I definitely do not recommend reading these books alone/nor out of order.

Katie and Ethan/Will are now on a journey to adjust to the news that keeps overshadowing their lives. Will's FATHER! They would like nothing but to be rid of the man but once Katie decided to open up, that also lefter her life open to all the people around her to give their opinions.

They struggled as friends, and had to fight as their friendship grew in order to be accepted by the people closest to them.

Will's father added such emotion to the story. I hated to hear his plans, but always hoped within the story that they would be able to catch him.

I don't like to give the story away in my reviews, so there are definitely no spoilers, but you surely won't be disappointed in this story if you can handle the issues of today's youth.

Great ending to the series. And perfect way to deal with the topic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hiding from Danger?

Hiding from Danger is the second book in the series Danger incorporated. . West Anderson is in love with Gigi but she said she that she doesn't want a relationship with anyone. But he is persistent and learns her secret. Question is can he keep her save and help her!

Hiding from Danger is the second book in the Danger Incorporated series by Olivia Jaymes. great story. Plenty of Action, suspense, and romance. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Narration by Aiden Snow was perfection.

Excellent Series!

I love the way the author relates the characters to those of the previous story. She uses inventiveness and intrigue to create a very exciting plot and still maintains a romantic bent to the story.

Confused But Intrigued

Hiding From Danger

Unfortunately, this is book number two in the Danger Inc. series. I did not have the opportunity to listen to the first book so I was a bit confused for a good part of the book.

I love the characters, especially West. Who doesn't love a handsome, strong and protective hero? He and Georgette (a.k.a. Gigi) have had an on again off again relationship of hooking up when it is convenient but nothing more.

Gigi has been running from "her danger" revealed pretty early on but I don't want to spoil for readers. She has reason to believe that she must move again. West cannot deny his feelings toward her (more than an occasional hook up) so he appoints himself her protector and watches her. He also calls in some friends I suppose were written about in the first book to help him protect her.

I found the book a bit confusing, as I said above. But the "superhero" who wants to protect the heroine is always a winner to me.

Aiden Snow is a very good pick for this book. A mix of narrator and a storyteller is hard to do in the believable manner, but Snow is able to pull it off easily.

I may look for the entire series in the future.

Wish I hadn't Wasted Days on this Audiobook

What disappointed you about The Obsession?

There were too many details about her renovating a house, her adopting a dog, her making omlets, etc. I had originally purchased the unabridged version and got bored with all the detail so returned it. Now this abridged version is just as bad.

What was most disappointing about Nora Robertss story?

The excruciating level of pointless details that in no way contribute to the story.

The beginning when she discovers what her father is up to. After that, it goes down hill in a hurry.

The plot of the story was really interesting. I love the way everything unfolded until the last few chapters. I wish the author would go back and re-think the resolution of the conflict. It was much too simplistic and rushed.

It almost felt like someone handed a high school student a well written story up until the arc where the resolution was to begin. The student just wanted to quickly end the story tying everything into a neat bow using the fewest words possible. What you end up with is a completely implausible ending. :(

Someone was obviously on a deadline! Too bad...it had real promise.

This book kept me up until 3am

This is a awesome and amazing book, so much so I was up listening until 3am. Just had to know what else was going to happen. Simply love this book. .

Great read and terrible narration..

I first read this on October 15, 2015 and recently got into a book-funk so I decided to read something Id already read, and listen to it since I found it one audible. And I enjoyed it as much the second time as I did the first, ((except for the listening part.))

Everything about this book was wonderful, ((except the listening part.)) Without all the angst and misunderstandings you get in most love stories. It was about a love that was a long time coming. I just loved Cam and Sydney, but boy, what an a$$ and a nice person Cams mother was, both at the same time. I liked Sydneys friend Luka, too. And Tommy and Boyd got just what they so richly deserved. I love to read about greedy-a$$ men getting whats coming to them.

There was a little sexual tension in this book and some terrific sex scenes. There was swearing and the F-bomb was released 5 times.

As to the narration: Pretty terrible. She couldnt make up her mind whether she wanted to make the men sound a little manly or just said the heck with it and let them sound like girls, so 95% of the time Cam WASNT manly sounding at all. And with Deputies Nick, Byron and Dean the narrator didnt care at all, they all sounded like girls, all the time, as did Tommy and his father Boyd. With it being narrated in 2016 I thought it would be fine since enough readers complain about the narrators sounding to manly for females or too feminine for men and they would try harder. I guess I was wrong. One other reviewer said this, Gwendolyn's voice is amazing and so "clean and crisp" as she changes her voice for each character. Her tones were so sexy during the steamy parts! Each character she portrays was totally believable.

Shame about the ending

I loved this book- it wasn't your usual sappy love story that has the basic story line and fifty different words for "penis" to make it sound different.

This had actual story and characters that stored emotions in you.

I liked the setting of the boxing gym - although that's possibly because I have been a boxer.

But the ending .... Obviously written to lead into another book, but left so many unanswered questions. I found it frustrating- there was not even a little closure - the author may of well have ended it in the middle of a chapter. :-(

Rollercoaster ride

An engrossing read with dark characters and a fast pace. It's also quite a hot read, as is normal for a Charity Parkerson book. They're always over too quickly. Another intense book I found hard to put down.

Really great series

I love this series. This story was just as inventive as the previous and could be read as a stand-alone. Each book is a complete story.

I guess you could say it's on the darker side of things, but it doesn't read as heavy or dark, but I'm a little twisted. It's a little kinky with some angry m/m/f sexy times- but there is more story than sex.

It's a quick read (and Supernatural is still on winter break so this is helping to fill in those paranormal gaps).

Wow again

I though book one was hot then I read book 2. Again I'm so glad I took a chance and grabbed that first book. I can tell this won't be the last book I read by this author as her work is just outstanding. It's not like anything you've read but it just what you need to read sometimes

WOW!! This story blew my mind. Charity is an absolute genius. This book is tough to review without giving the storyline away. So I'll tell you this: its amazing..unique..keeps you guessing..and smoking hot. I love this series and hope there is more to come.

Without revealing the mission, money is no issue for this gentleman. Knowing that most poor people desire money, at almost all costs, but this time, he gets a cold slap in the face, and he has a rude awakening from reality.

Cupid has used magic and a secret method! Cupid has done its thing, it looks like in the near future. There may be some compromise from all sides. Now the best way for you to find out exactly what takes place is to grab you a copy. Find out for yourself.

I agree with the other review wondering if a child wrote this story or if English was a second language. The formatting is terrible, the story is written without conversations, with errors, missing words... As a short story I can understand not really building depth to characters, but the writing style and the errors make it where you have a tough time keeping any one straight. I'm glad this was free because it only cost me wasted time. This book will be deleted, not worth keeping. I would not recommend this to anyone unless they wanted to waste their time and money (if it is no longer free). I really wish Amazon would let us give no stars or negative stars because one star is one too many.

Not Worth the Time to Download

This short story has the worst plot, writing style and spelling I have ever encountered in an offering by Kindle e-books.

Is this satire? A joke? A sarcastic poke at indie publishing?

Sweet Mother of Pearl, what in the world is going on here?

This short story left me with so many questions. Is English the author's first language? Was it written by a fourth grader? Who are the wisenheimers who gave her two five-star reviews? Is this a satirical poke at indie publishing uploaded as a goof by an acerbic literature professor after a bout of heavy drinking? Is someone running a test to see how far a complete piece of dreck can rise in the Kindle rankings simply by virtue of being free?

Beginning with the title (Cupid's should have an apostrophe), there is misuse of punctuation throughout. Even the blurb is rife with typos, as is nearly every paragraph in the story. I'm not entirely sure about that last statement, however, since it's hard to tell where paragraphs begin or end. Forget the nuances of plot or character development, Amanda Hodges shows complete ignorance of basic grammar and sentence structure.

Caveman Sean

I enjoyed the first several books in this series about 2 special ops groups who rescued and protected innocent people around the world. These strong sexy men genuinely admired and respected woman, while the females were strong, competent and knew how to kick ass.

Unfortunately, Sean was more caveman than romantic hero. While not physically violent or intentionally cruel, Sean was too arrogant, overbearing, and obnoxious for my taste. He supposedly "loved" Bailey but treated her more like a stupid child than an intelligent adult,

Likewise Bailey, a trained assassin and former CIA operative, was too timid to be believable or engaging. The plot was well written, the secondary characters were interesting but the so called romantic couple was too sad to be entertaining.
