Skylar is such a wonderful story. It had everything

Skylar is such a wonderful story and it has everything you could want. Fast paced, numerous twists, strong characters, danger, romance and love. Without giving the story away let me just say, Kate Allenton's writing, puts you into the character's world, and you want to remain in their world. The characters are so endearing you don't want the story to end. The great news is this is the first book in a series, so you have hope that you will see all the members of the "Love" family again.

Great new start!

I finally had the chance to start the Love family series and boy was it worth the wait!!! This first book showed us a glimpse of their close-knit family, friendship, suspense, romance and a little bit of Kate's "talents" that are shown in her books. Truly enjoyed Skylar's story! Now, onto Declan's story!!!

A new series

If you haven't read any books by Kate don't delay get started you will be not disappointed. This is book one in a new series and it sets a great beginning for stories to come. Another great read. Thanks Kate.

Not a book.

The entire Blood Red series is basically a full length novel. I picked up part 1 free and assumed it was a sample (freebie - makes sense). It's my own fault that I didn't check the length before buying part 2. The story itself is fun and moves along at a good clip. I liked the characters well enough, but the big reveal had me rolling my eyes. If you too recall the color wheel from preschool you'll see it coming from a mile off. Had the author swerved I would have shelled out another 3 bucks for part 3.

I loved this book. We are now beginning to get some answers to some pretty difficult questions. This book has certainly upted the ante so to speak. I just could not put this one down. Thanks W.J. for another thrilling book. I can't wait to read on. I haven't bought the next one as yet but I will definitely do.......:)

The book caught my interest right away (especially being as I had just finished the first in the series). I can hardly wait now for the next books to come out.

I like W.J. May's writing and have read most of her books. I think her and Finley Aaron right now are 2 of my favorite writers.

I liked this book. Definitely enjoyed listening to this. The story was interesting to me.I like how it was More than one shape shifter and creatures in this book. Like witches, bear and dragon. Lol I have no clue as to what conner was maybe he's a dragon to not sure.

Love these short stories

I received a free copy of "Alpha's Mates" in exchange for an unbiased review. I have to say that I love these short stories. I can listen to them on my way to/from work and move on to another longer book later. To top it off, these stores are all inclusive. There is thriller, fantasy, love, sex, relationships, suspense, etc. Everything is packed into this small book and it works great. The authors have done an exceptional job at giving the reader a quick "hit" of everything a book needs to be a great story. The characters are well developed (not just physically) and the story is wrapped up in a nice, neat little package.

In the character, Cleo, there is a beautiful woman, very smart and very adept at building a fortune. She has her moments of demanding loyalty, but also moments of submissiveness. After all she is a Bear Shifter. Being dropped in the middle of nowhere by a coven of witches she pissed off, she doesn't appear to be a bit nervous but is tremendously distressed because she is unable to take care of her fortune in this situation. She can't even use her electronics. I can only inagine how frustrated that makes her. Who can live without our electronics. I get upset if I leave my cell phone at home when I run to the store. I feel like a part of me is gone.

After being dropped to what seems like nowhere, she chances upon a very unique ranch with supernatural creatures in residence and two gorgeous men. How do you choose between the two of them. You don't. It appears they come as a package along with the ranch. The romance is very steamy and dreamy. Who hasn't dreamt of a threesome?

The ending is a win/win conclusion for both the story and the reader. I would love to see the two men, Titus and Conner, in another book, maybe even by themselves. Also, Cleo is a very hot character too with lots of spunk, self-confidence and brains.

Coming Back

Wow.... Danielle James has outdone herself once again. This story has it all, action, suspense, love, emotional, sadness, and it had me crying many times throughout the story. I thought we had a brother back and then just when he's home and mated everything is torn away again. Outstanding writing from James and she has written one Hell of a story that you must listen to.

Miles Taylor does a fantastic job at pulling you into a story and his performances and the telling of James's stories continue to get better. He had me immersed in the story right away and I could hear the emotion in this story as he told it. Overall, a rate it 5 stars!

Love Conquers All

What was one of the most memorable moments of From the Ashes?

It is really hard to pick one because there were too many great moments. Although sad, it would have to be when Macy's dead body was returned and Antonio stayed wrapped around her while he wasted away. So sad but depicted the love shared by a vampire and his mate.

Which scene was your favorite?

It is a cross between Leigh giving birth as a dragon because of Antonio's prediction and Frankie waking up as a vampire, she seemed to take it in stride.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did. Just could not stop and go to bed, stayed up till 3 am to finish it.

Any additional comments?

I loved that fact that the author wrote this story in a way that one who had not read the first 3 stories in this series could understand what was going on and not feel lost. This is the second book I have read from Danielle James and would read probably anything she writes.

Hopefully not the end!

Wyatt has always taken care of those around him. First as a father and then as a fireman...when he arrives to a changed world, he continues taking care of those around him.

Remington Truth is the granddaughter of one of the original men involved in the catastrophe which changed the world forever. On his deathbed, her grandfather gave over a stone and told her to protect it with her life. She does just that...even if it means keeping everyone else away from her heart.

Life hadn't been easy for Wyatt and Remy. They faced loss and pain but together they are stronger and now must find a way to save the people of Envy.

Ms. Ware does a nice job bringing two broken people together. Both are battling demons and are unable to let their past go, no matter how easy it seems. It seems to take more than one book to finally give Wyatt and Remy a happily ever after.

Sadly this book is listed as the last in the series but we still have so much going on... the Strangers are out to hurt the humans, the zombies are still chasing an unknown.... I felt sad that we didn't get the wrap up where everyone was happy but that's how life is...

Or maybe Ms. Ware is going to take us back to Envy and the people once again... we can only hope.

GREAT BOOK!

I enjoyed the entire series of these books, and had a very hard time closing the books to get other things taken care of. I really, really hope they make these into tv or big screen movies.

Please see my other reviews of Joss Ware's books in this series. They are all similarly good and very engrossing. I just wish there were more. I also don't understand how a series like "Walking Dead" gets filmed over something so much richer as this series? She gets into the head of all of her characters and you are living their lives. How can you beat that? It's amazing to be inside these novels...

Wyatt & Remy

I think it is safe to say that this is the longest series I've been able to stay interested in. I love Wyatt and couldn't wait for his book to come out. His story is heart wrenching. Everyone deserves to love again and you'll have to read to find out if Wyatt manages to move on from his preapocalyptic life.

Great Series

I normally bypass books about the post-apocalyptic world, but I am glad I didn't miss this series. These books have it all, action, adventure, romance, suspense, and so much more.

I have read the entire series to date and love all of the characters; Joss Ware leaves you wanting more.

I highly recommend not only this book, but the entire series.

This is the same old story about arrange marriage in the shifter clans...at least Cam is really nice, and Elise is not a push over... The story flows well and is narrated really great...that makes it much more interesting...if you are really into shifter romance books, you will really like it...I usually don't mind insta-love, but this is a little to insta or me....but still a fun listen!

An Enjoyable Short Escape with Shifters

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a full story within the 2 hour time frame of this audio book. The storyline translated well into audio and the narrator did a great job of conveying each characters' personality. The emotions were clear and the circumstances of the hero and heroine were stated more than implied. Since I like detail this was a plus for me. The narrator's voice was a comfortable pitch and her cadence helped make this an enjoyable listen and quick escape.

Cameron and Elise had their own hopes for their lives when they were brought together by less than desirable forces, but attraction couldn't be denied and boy was I glad about it. It's always a bonus for me when an author has two strong characters come together to face conflicts. I will be looking for more by both Lily Pink and Meghan Kelly.

Lions, Cougars & Bears, Le Purr

Poor shifters, forced into doing things they do not want to do just to appease the ruling parties. Things like having to court and marry a shifter from another alliance. Confirmed bachelor no more, Cameron, is paired with the beautiful and fiesty Elise. Let the romance begin. There is additional excitement when Cameron and Elise rush to the protection of a young female pack/town member.

Meghan Kelly does a superb job voicing several sexy male shifters (le purrrrrrr) in addition to the other characters in the book.

Very Short Shifter Romance

I was a bit disappointed with some of the dialogue. You just hear about different characters but don't get to know much about them.

There was quite a bit missing in this story and it ends with a lot of things still hanging in the air. It's not a complete story.

The narrator did a fairly good job.

Great Short Story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I always love Cynthia Mendoza's books. She is so creative in her story telling. She brings you in and doesn't let you go. The story of Max (isn't that a strong/rich name?) and his task to find mates for his clans men with specific requirements is pretty unique. However, match.com probably has a corner on that. Kay, the bartender, doesn't fit the requirements, as far as he knows. However, forget the requriements, you can't stop attraction. Enjoyed listening to this light-hearted story. Again, Ms. Mendoza does a great job. Looking for the next one.

Not much happens in the story and you don't really meet any of the characters they discuss.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Mated by the Billionaire Dragon?

The conversation about the bar fight added nothing to the story line.

Quick shifter romance of two people who have known each other for years and finally get together. Not much happens other than some conversation then some sex.

Good Dragon

Do you follow your heart of follow your kings orders? What if the orders don't make sense and are not right for the clan? What do you do when you go about following the orders and everyone that you encounter are empty headed chits who can't do anything to help build your clan? These are Max's problems. He is second in command from the king. But the king has not been in the world for a long time and does not understand how the world works these days.

Max is also in love with a feisty bar tender who is actually the owner and is super rich herself. So does he get the girl and help his clan out as well. You will have to listen. The sex is not a lot but it is in there.
