CONTENT WARNING: This episode deals with pregnancy and miscarriage.
From February of 2020, we revisit episode #35, in which I discuss the miscarriage that I experienced eight months earlier. The physical, mental, and emotional toll the experience took on my husband and myself was heavy.
I knew this was a story I wanted and needed to share, in part for my own healing, but also to honor the grace that had been given to me. In the early stages of healing, nurses came into my hospital room, took my hand, looked me in the eye, and shared their stories. This generosity was like a salve to my heart, and likely the only thing I could've handled hearing.
They didn’t say, "It'll be okay." But rather, they said, "You're not alone."
If this is a message you need to hear, please know that you are not alone.
Thank you for being on this journey with me. We're in this together.
