If you're a perfectionist, you're probably used to getting bogged down by all-or-nothing thinking. When you can't do something perfectly, you want to avoid doing it at all or you feel like you need to keep accomplishing more, never feeling satisfied with what you've achieved.
It is becoming increasingly prevalent to have this mindset, especially among women. However, what if I told you that one single word could change your outlook so that you can remain driven but also finally feel content where you are now?
One key thing to understand is that a number of things can be true at once, and even seemingly contradictory things can coexist harmoniously. If you can grasp this shift in thinking, you will find that it opens up a whole slew of new opportunities, greater peace, and a more fulfilling life.
During this episode, Keri will share the word that enabled her to see beyond her binary thinking and realize she can have it all. Keri will talk about how she learned to embrace creativity while keeping her business simple. In addition, she will share some advice she gave to one of her clients about how to be both motivated AND content with her current life.

In this episode of Literally First Class™, Keri shares some first class moves that are sure to help you give less fucks, and therefore, have more fun. Keri attributes her ability to care less about what others think to the somatic work she has done, and her continued work with a mentor that is also committed to personal development and staying true to herself.
We're all human, and our nervous system is constantly scanning the world for threats, whether real or imagined. This can sometimes inhibit us from doing the things that we really want to do, and letting loose. Keri encourages you to explore the edges of your nervous system and become more open to trying new things. This starts with knowing yourself so deeply that you know the difference between truth and trauma, because otherwise you can run off into storyland based on the experiences you have gone through and create perceived threats that are not actually real.
We have all heard the saying "you can't pour from an empty cup," and this couldn't be more true. Being selfless is looked at as a virtue, but if you are constantly pouring out for others, when do you pour into yourself? Keri challenges you to be selfish and work on yourself so that you can more authentically show up for others. One way you can do this is by joining the next UNMADE retreat in Atlanta with Keri. Tune in to learn how to give less fucks and have more fun.

This episode of Literally First Class features Keri discussing her UNMADE Retreat coming up March 23, 2023, reflecting on highlights from the last retreat, and describing who this retreat is designed to benefit.
Do you feel like you're not where you need to be, yet from the outside, you look like you have it all together?
In spite of reaching high levels of accomplishment, it's possible to feel unmotivated and exhausted, especially for women. UNMADE is for the high-performing, 1% woman who is ready to achieve internal success that is in line with the external success and abundance she has achieved. UNMADE will help you learn to create the time for pleasure and rest because when you're relaxed, you can see and connect with your bigger vision.
Anxiety undoubtedly has served many high-performing women and allowed them to be decisive, but can we be both decisive and intentional?
It is okay to take action, but you should do so from a place of peace, centeredness, and grounding. Power and peace can be experienced simultaneously. At this retreat, you will learn how to practice more intentionality and slow down. The goal is to end the achiever anxiety, start being present, and achieve internal fulfillment.
You can expect realness, lots of laughter, a deeper understanding of yourself, and most importantly, guidance on how to implement everything you learned during the program into your daily life. Rather than just inspiring you, Keri makes sure you know how to keep the momentum and live differently afterward because she believes the real magic happens when you go home.

In today's modern world, there are far too many expectations, especially for working mothers. Our stressors have risen as a result of being expected to be available and on at all times. The bar we set for ourselves keeps rising as we measure ourselves against others and continue feeling unfulfilled.
The anxious achiever is in a never-ending cycle of pursuing the next thing. It's common for anxious achievers to say that they just have to accomplish one more project before they are happy or relaxed, but the bar keeps getting higher and higher. Other signs of achiever anxiety include constantly manifesting chaos or feeling important because you are busy.
Many high-achieving women hold off on contentment and happiness because we always say that when I achieve this or that, I will be happy. By doing this, we can keep producing even when we're tired, when what we really need to do is slow down. It is not wrong to strive for what you deem successful, but the problem arises when you cannot internally feel successful. If this resonates with you, the good news is that you are not alone and there is a fix.
Essentially, achiever anxiety is about proving to ourselves that we matter. Therefore, acknowledgment is so satisfying to us, but if it's only externally facing, and we don't feel successful internally or like we are enough, we need to learn how to overcome this so we can figure out where we are operating from. The path to getting over the anxiety will involve releasing everything that was not you to begin with.
During this episode, Keri will guide you through some questions to ask yourself to get you curious about your self-care and aware of your body's current state. She will also discuss the difference between intrinsic motivation and anxiety.
Keri's upcoming transformational retreat, The Unmade Retreat, will address these issues in depth. This retreat is for the high-performance woman that feels she cannot take a break and the women who want to learn how to have more by doing less.

The Unmade Retreat experience focuses on Unbecoming as an immersive experience for women who consider themselves externally successful but internally unfulfilled. This is all about who we are being, who we get to unbecome, as well as how to have more by doing less. In this short but impactful episode, we will explore the question: what is a literal first class move?
Keri can think of no better example than the new film Good Luck to You, Leo Grand. Emma Thompson plays an important role in the movie, effectively conveying the experience most women face due to cultural norms. Due to patriarchal thinking, women live in suppression, are told their bodies are irrelevant as they age, and lose respect and grace as they age.
A first class move requires courage, and Emma Thompson embodies this in the film beautifully. Emma plays the role of a woman in her sixties who has been married for most of her life, but when her husband passes away, she realizes she has never experienced an orgasm, so she hires a sex worker to help her achieve it.
Keeping spoilers to a minimum, Keri discusses how she related to the thoughts and feelings expressed throughout the film by the main character and believes this film will resonate with most women. Women often feel irrelevant, undesirable, or unworthy of intimacy as they age, and younger women often feel the need to reverse aging in order to feel worthy. It is a great starting point if you have ever experienced such thoughts or if you want to gain a deeper understanding of them.
After listening to this podcast, go watch Good Luck to You, Leo Grand, available on Hulu, and report back with what you think about the last five minutes. It's incredible and may leave you feeling emotional.
Our next Unmade retreat could be the perfect opportunity to further explore some of these topics in real time. You can apply to attend the next retreat on March 23rd here: https://elevatewithkeri.com/unmade/

We hosted our first POP UP PARTY in First Class with surprise guests Dr. Jen and Dr. Dom Fraboni! Unexpected, fun, and conversational, we're inviting you to crash this private jet party.
How tuned in are you to your body? Ever feel relaxed physically, only to realize that you are actually tensed up even when you are slouching over or in a relaxed position? Until we pay attention, we don't even realize how much tension we hold in our bodies. For entrepreneurs, sitting in stillness is difficult, and working constantly and being stressed can become an addiction.
Our autonomic nervous system is composed of the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems. During times of danger, our sympathetic nervous system prepares us for flight or fight, while our parasympathetic nervous system restores calm. The world we live in today is filled with stimuli that cause us to enter a sympathetic state, so being intentional about our consumption and our habits is super important.
This episode features Dr. Jen and Dr. Dom discussing how they activate their parasympathetic nervous system throughout the day and stay grounded. Even though Jen is busy as an entrepreneur and has to maintain a presence online on social media, she has found a way to be authentic and enjoy her day while promoting her business. Dr. Jen and Dr. Dom remind us how important it is to develop our own parasympathetic practices.
Many of us are guilty of jumping straight into our phones when we wake up, which can negatively impact our day. When we focus on something narrow like our phones, we enter a sympathetic state. We often find it hard to break free of our posture towards our phones.
Getting our morning routines right can set us up for success, says Dr. Dom. Getting outside and looking at the horizon or doing something active outside is one of the best things we can do for ourselves. You can return to that calmer state through small exercises throughout the day after setting your state in the morning this way.
Although morning routines are a quick way to access the parasympathetic state, there are many short exercises throughout the day that can bring us there in as little as 30 seconds. Dr. Dom suggests that breathwork is a powerful practice that is easy to access at any time. The important thing to realize is that you can achieve a parasympathetic state without dedicating an hour of your morning to an intricate and complicated practice, and we can all add little things to our routines to maintain more calm.
Jen's work is all about proactiveness and preventing problems to avoid being reactive. Jen is releasing her Release, Relieve, Reset challenge to help people regulate their nervous system and address underlying issues. The videos span 30 days and include 36 videos. Using her platform, they perform pelvic floor mobilization, full body mobility flows, breathwork, and soft tissue massage. Your overall health can be improved with just 10-15 minutes per day. Instead of providing temporary solutions to life's stressors, this addresses root causes of stress.

Do you find yourself always trying to do everything "by the book"—to stay an inoffensive people-pleaser, and to always go out of your way to be obedient and modest? In other words, have you spent your life trying to be the "good girl"? Your host, Keri Ford, challenges us to shake up that ideal—to ask ourselves, perhaps for the first time in our life: "Who am I doing it all for?". According to Keri, we can only be free once we throw away all of these societal pressures telling us to live life as a "good girl". She invites us to see the world in a new way, beyond the boxes we've created for ourselves, and to give ourselves permission to be naughty, to be rebellious—to be the bad girl.

What are your hobbies? Do you have activities in your life that are pouring into you and your essence? Is it restful, rejuvenating, and life-giving? Think about the things you consider as your hobbies and ask yourself if they align with these three things that make a hobby:
-A hobby has no required outcome. You're simply doing it for the joy of whatever that thing is.
-It's life-giving.
-It brings a sense of child-like wonderment.
Sometimes what we may think is a hobby, is really just something else that is draining us because we aren't doing it just for fun and for fun alone. Tune in to find out practical ways to explore how to truly enjoy your hobbies and make the time and space to discover them.
