Kat explains and defines the differences between Disordered eating habits and Eating Disorders. We delve into Binge Eating Disorder (BED) in depth and explore the diagnosis, the characteristics, the acute and long term effects and the impact that BED can have mentally, psychologically, socially and financially on people. We also touch on the stigma behind ED's and some of the resources available for help.
Kat is an Occupational Therapist, Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner, Personal Trainer, Fitness Expert and Accredited Nutritionist based in New York City. Kat has worked around the world in the health and fitness industry as a Coach, Therapist and Trainer for over 13 years.
Kat works on improving the relationship that athletes and members of the community have with food, body image and nutrition, through her online business, Macros, Muscles & Mindset.
Kat has featured on the podcast numerous times in the past, and shares her story behind why she is passionate about helping others identify and address eating disorders, and that is through her own lived experience.
