تحدثنا عن واقع النساء الفلسطينيات في ظل القمع والاضطهاد التي يعشنه تحت الاحتلال، وخصصنا الحديث عن النساء الفلسطينيات في الداخل، وسياسة كم الأفواه والقمع الشرطي والاعتقالات السياسية والملاحقات الأكاديمية وكذلك الطرد من العمل في مجتمع أنهكته الجريمة وتداعيات الحرب.

وتناولنا خط الطوارئ الذي تديره الجمعية في الحرب، والتوجهات وطبيعتها، وعن الضرر الاقتصادي الحاصل على النساء، بسبب إيقافهن عن العمل، وخصصنا الحديث عن مجموعة عظمى من بينهن اللواتي يعملن بلا حقوق وبالتالي لا يتلقين تعويضات في حال توقفن عن العمل بسبب الحرب.

وناقشنا التكافل المجتمعتي واللحمة بين أفراد المجتمع، وإعادة بناء وتنظيم المجتمع بعيدًا عن الخلاص والنجاة الفردية.

With recent events painting a grim picture, we center our discussion on the ripple effects of the Gaza conflict on Palestinian citizens residing within Israel's borders.

Our dialogue with Dr. Jabareen uncovers the unsettling realities faced by these citizens, highlighting the institutionalized persecution intensifying amidst the war. In episode 106 of the "Al Midan" podcast, we were joined by Diana Buttu, a Palestinian-Canadian lawyer and activist, for an in-depth discussion conducted in English, shedding light on the profound challenges faced by Palestinian citizens of Israel amidst the conflict in Gaza.

Throughout the podcast, we delved into the pervasive surveillance exerted on the Palestinian community within Israel. Our conversation revealed the alarming degree to which both Israeli security forces and broader societal mechanisms are involved in continuous monitoring activities. This scrutiny encompasses a wide range of intrusions, including the surveillance of social media posts and other forms of communication. Disturbingly, it was noted that such activities have led to punitive and coercive measures such as employment termination, legal prosecution, and in more severe instances, the arrest of Palestinian citizens. Particularly, those who express sympathy towards the plight of civilians in Gaza find themselves ensnared in this repressive net.

Furthermore, our dialogue broached the subject of international media coverage of the war on Gaza. We critiqued the prevailing narratives, highlighting a biased and, regrettably, often inhumane perception of Palestinians. This skewed representation in international reporting, we analyzed, plays a detrimental role, perpetuating harm by indirectly justifying the violence and lethal force wielded against Palestinian civilians. The dehumanization embedded in these narratives contributes to a global indifference towards the loss of Palestinian lives, an unacceptable phenomenon that we unpacked during our engaging session.

By bringing these critical issues to the forefront, our objective was to peel back the layers of oversimplified discourse often presented to the global audience, aiming instead to expose the complex, often harrowing realities of life as a Palestinian citizen within Israel, particularly during times of heightened conflict.

تحدثنا عن المسيحيين الأصلانيين في البلاد، وعن انتشار المسيحية في فلسطين في الفترات التاريخية المختلفة، وتطرقنا للخيط الناظم لشبكة العلاقة بين المسيحيين والمسلمين، مثل العهدة العمرية. وتحدثنا عن محافظة المسيحيين على اللغة العربية في وجه التتريك والانتداب البريطاني والاستعمار الصهيوني. وتناولنا الأثر الذي خلفته النكبة على المسيحيين في فلسطين، وصولًا للاعتداءات الصهيونية على المقدسات، والأديرة والرهبان والمسيحيين في البلاد، والذي بدأ يزداد مؤخرًا في القدس المحتلّة والداخل الفلسطيني.

في الحلقة الثالثة بعد المئة من بودكاست "الميدان" استضفنا المربي باسم أبو الهيجاء، مدير مدرسة ابن رشد التكنولوجية الثانوية في مدينة طمرة، للحديث عن العنف والجريمة في المدارس. وتناولنا التحديات التي يواجهها طلّاب المدارس بسبب حالة العنف والجريمة التي يعاني منها مجتمعنا الفسطيني في الداخل، وركّزنا على المدرسة كبيئة حاضنة، وعلى أهمية الدعم النفسي والعاطفي للطلّاب، وتعزيز الثقة بالنفس، وإعداد الطالب لمواجهة الظروف خارج أسوار المدرسة.

تناولنا التحديات التي تواجهها الطواقم التربوية في المدارس العربية في ظل انتشار الجريمة والعنف في المجتمع وعدم توفير وزارة المعارف الإسرائيلية دعمًا وأدوات للمعلمين للتعامل مع هذه الظاهرة، والتبعات النفسية عليهم في ظل عدم توفّر هذه الأدوات.
