BASEBALL! I know it won't matter, but still!
A.J. Andrews has baseball things to talk about, and she is thrilled, so she is going to ignore the ever-present pandemic and looming labor crisis and talk about baseball things! The Blue Jays have released their 58 players in the 60-man pool, and A.J. goes over the choices made and what they mean for the roster, as well as the likelihood of Jordan Groshans and Simeon Woods Richardson actually donning a Toronto cap.

Sorry to be the buzzkill...
Yeah, baseball was officially mandated back this week, but A.J. Andrews isn't celebrating. She talks about how the process seemingly ignores the major problem the 2020 season ran into, as well as the problems down the road that these negotiations revealed.

The whiplash on this one...
A.J. Andrews discusses what the rash of positive tests across baseball, including a potential positive test on the Blue Jays, means for MLB's efforts to get back on the field and whether or not they should even try. Then, more labor talk! Because that is fun...

Let us not forget, there is hope.
Coming off the high off watching Sniper McKinney and Danny Jansen power her virtual team to victory, A.J. Andrews is in a good mood, so maybe just maybe she can see what Rob Manfred has done to get a 2020 MLB season closer to fruition. She's not giving him much credit. She's basically saying that Manfred's performance in the public has been so bad, it shamed the owners into budging from their bargaining position of "offer the same thing but with different numbers". But will it work?

Is this what happy feels like?
The Blue Jays selected Austin Martin, a player that had no right remaining on the board at #5, in the 2020 MLB Draft and A.J. Andrews is thrilled! She gushes over the 3B/SS/OF from Vanderbilt, what he brings to the team, and what his presence means the Blue Jays can do moving forward.

If you want to know how I feel about the Wizard Lady, go listen to Sunday's episode.
Instead we talk about a different villain, the MLB owners. Some of them are already running to the public to cry poor and reclaim the upper hand in public opinion when it comes to their labor battle with the players' union, but A.J. Andrews isn't buying it. She excoriates Tom Ricketts and Bill DeWitt Jr. for deriding baseball as an unprofitable business, and lays out why Ken Kendrick's dream of a salary capped MLB will never happen.

So this is the anniversary podcast, huh? Big celebration here. Not.
The world is changing, hopefully for the better. It just sucks how it got here. A.J. Andrews takes this episode to express her thoughts on the ongoing protests against police brutality and systemic racism from across the world, the baseball players doing something about it, and when she was able to see just what so many others have seen. Plus Joanne Rowling is a transphobic bigot, as now most of the world knows. So, A.J. has to talk about that as well.

OK, this episode is the positive one! Even if it comes with corrections...
After rectifying some mistakes in the previous episode, A.J. dives into some fake baseball, where happier times are here following the Blue Jays' five-game win streak! The starting rotation has been a driving force during the run and Andrews highlights their contributions, as well as the new name pushing into the All-Star picture from Toronto. Plus, two hitters have been driving the offense lately; Bo Bichette and... Teoscar Hernández? The right fielder has stepped his effort up over the last 10 games and Andrews notes how vital this is for making the Blue Jays as flexible as they can be.
