On Thursday's Locked On Blue Jays, Sean Woodley and Mike DiStefano react to the Toronto Blue Jays' 6-0 loss to the New York Yankees in Game 2 of their series, in which Gerrit Cole threw a complete game 2-hitter, and Aaron Judge hit a pair of home runs, leaving the Jays with plenty of work to do in the race for the final Wild Card spot with the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners. Off the top, Sean and Mike recount another lifeless night at the plate for the Jays. Is there any shame in getting shut out back to back nights by Michael King and Gerrit Cole? Probably not, but it sure feels magnified in the final week of the season with a playoff spot still not yet locked up. Next, they reset the Wild Card race after Seattle's loss to Houston on Wednesday, as the Mariners get set for a four-game set to close the year with the West-leading Texas Rangers. After a promising weekend for the offense in Tampa, are we concerned about the team's ability to score runs again? Lastly, they dig into Romano's second straight rough outing since picking up a split fingernail issue. Should he be shut down until the playoffs to ensure he's fully healthy, with Jordan Hicks, Erik Swanson and the rest of the Jays' pen likely capable of seeing the Jays through to a playoff spot?
