March 09 FAILURE: NIL PAY Takes Center Stage as College Sports Roundtable SPARKS Debate From Trump, Saban
Power brokers gather in Washington, D.C. to "fix" college sports, but glaringly shut out the voices of current athletes—the people driving the billion-dollar industry. With Nick Saban, Adam Silver, Tiger Woods, and conference leaders focused on NIL payments and the transfer portal, are critical perspectives being ignored? Parker Ainsworth exposes the disconnect, questioning if the real stakeholders are finally due their share and challenging the notion that paying players will endanger women’s sports, using Cody Campbell’s $1.2 million NIL deal for a softball star as proof.
Debating Houston Cougars’ place in a rapidly shifting NCAA landscape, Parker Ainsworth spotlights how hypocrisy, administrative choices, and outdated mentalities block meaningful reform. Will executive orders from D.C. bring lasting solutions, or does true progress require athlete representation at the table? Don’t miss this pointed critique and timely analysis as March Madness and Big 12 Tournament action heat up.
00:00 Washington D.C. Roundtable Recap
Parker Ainsworth opens with a critique of a recent high-profile roundtable in D.C., featuring big sports figures but excluding current athletes. Focus on the lack of athlete voices and why the roundtable was ineffective.
04:49 Paying College Athletes Debate
Exploration of the ongoing debate about athlete compensation, NIL, transfer portal concerns, and the hypocrisy of coaches/administrators making millions while athletes’ rights are questioned. Key arguments for player payments and flawed logic from critics.
11:11 Impact on Women’s & Non-revenue Sports
Discussion shifts to the claim that increased player payments would “kill” non-revenue or women’s sports; counterexample given with Texas Tech softball. Analysis on school funding decisions and how NIL reality is shaped by institutional choices, not inevitabilities.

March 05 BIG 12 SQUAD - Big 12 REALIGNMENT CHATTER | What will happen to Houston?
Can the Big 12 survive the power play by the SEC and Big Ten, or is a seismic shift in college athletics imminent? The Big 12 Squad tackles the heated debate over conference realignment, the rumored addition of Louisville, and whether government intervention is the only hope to keep college football from becoming a two-league universe. The hosts dissect Josh Pate’s radical plan to restore conference regionality and question whether historic rivalries and logical geography can ever return to the sport.
From heated rants about bubble teams like West Virginia and TCU to frustration over SEC and Big Ten dominance on ESPN and Fox, the panel breaks down the flaws in NCAA tournament selection and the consequences for Big 12 schools. With references to brand power, TV money, and underappreciated programs, this episode is packed with passionate takes and critical questions: Is tradition dead in college sports, or can the Big 12 carve out its own path to respect and relevance?
