Parker offers insights into the potential motivations and what this means for future conference realignments. The discussion then shifts to the University of Houston, exploring how the Big 12's decision impacts the Cougars. We analyze the financial implications, considering how Houston's share of conference revenue might change with or without Memphis in the picture. The episode also delves into the evolving dynamics of conference rivalries, as Houston adjusts to its new Big 12 home without the familiar face of Memphis. Commissioner Brett Yormark's vision for the Big 12 takes center stage as we dissect the conference's strategic positioning. Parker weighs the pros and cons, considering factors like media markets, athletic competitiveness, and long-term stability.
