Oregon went into the 2022 Holiday Bowl as a double-digit favorite against North Carolina, and found themselves trailing at the half--and by 10 points in the fourth quarter. Thanks to late game heroics from Bo Nix and timely stops by the defense, Oregon picked up a 10-win season in a 28-27 thrilling victory over the Tar Heels.
On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin reacts to the final game of Dan Lanning's first year at the helm. There were great performances across the board, and individual ones like that QB Bo Nix made this an especially fun victory for the Ducks to enjoy and take into the offseason.
Not everything was perfect, however, as the offense sputtered for a long time in this game and the special teams continued to struggle. Thankfully, both have rather simple explanations as to why they were not up to the standard where Oregon needs them to be going forward.
