Locked On Heat - Daily Podcast On The Miami Heat

Kyle Lowry! Making his first start as a member of the Heat, Lowry led the team with a high-octane offense that was dominant on both ends of the floor, making the right pass, igniting the fast break and fitting seamlessly with his new team.

I break down the win and much more, including Tyler Herro's 26-point outing to lead all scorers!

Jimmy Butler has been the focal point of Miami's offense for two seasons but with the addition of Kyle Lowry, is that likely to change? Coach Spo gives his input on who will run the offense and why, and I break down if it's the best choice for the team.

Plus, is Miami putting out the best starting lineup this season? And is there too much pressure for the Heat to succeed and give South Florida sports fans something to root for?

Can Kyle Lowry's impact be fully measured? Katie Heindl of DIME and the Basketball Feelings newsletter joins me to talk about Lowry defining the culture in Toronto, and how the Raptors are adjusting to his absence this season. Plus, an update on Goran Dragic, trying to fit in before making his triumphant return to the Heat next season.

Absolutely a great conversation to understand just how much Lowry meant to Raptors fans and what he brings to Miami this season.

I've been optimistic about Miami's offseason and chances for success this season but to help balance that out (sort of) is Jack Alfonso of the Miami Heat Beat podcast. We talked about a potential weakness in the starting lineup, Kyle Lowry's impact, Bam Adebayo's growth and much more!

Great conversation you don't want to miss.

Ti Windisch, host of the Milwaukee Bucks podcast "The Gyro Step," joins me to talk about his recent preview of the "SouthLEAST Division." From his low win prediction, to low expectations for Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler and more, this was a really good conversation that shows you how media outside of Miami are looking at the Heat's chances this upcoming season.

Before the season kicks off next week, I take an early look at some of the issues and narratives building up before the start of camp! Erik Spoelstra has been to the Finals five times and has never won Coach of the Year. Is next season his best chance to win it?

Plus, why the national media seems to have overlooked Miami's impressive offseason before I debate if we're reading too much into Tyler Herro's apparent growth this offseason and how that will translate once the games begin.

Mat Issa, the host of the "The Quest For The Best" joins me for the second part of our conversation to debate the best players in Miami Heat history? Does LeBron James' impact during the "Big 3" era rank higher than Dwyane Wade's incredible run from 2008-2010? Where does new Hall of Famer Chris Bosh fit in? And what about Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Jimmy Butler or Shaquille O'Neal?

Who's the best player of all-time? It's a question that has been debated for as long as the NBA has existed. Mat Issa, the host of a six-part podcast called "The Quest For The Best" joins me to talk about his journey to find the right answer, from interviewing coaches, players and media members, to making the tough decision to leave off some all-time greats from his definitive Top-10 list.

Part one of a two-part episode you won't want to miss!

With the latest reports that John Wall and the Houston Rockets have reached an agreement that he will not be playing this time soon, I look at what's next for the former All-Star, why reports of a trade with Miami won't work.

Plus, the latest on Miami's newest two-way player, Caleb Martin, who spent the past two seasons with the Charlotte Hornets.
