Locked On Islanders - Daily Podcast On The New York Islanders

The New York Islanders played a lot of young players who may not be with the team once the season starts, but they played a sloppy game and lost to the Flyers 5-2. We have our key takeaways from the game including subpar performances by Noah Dobson and a lot of other players as well as our concerns about the play of Semyon Varlamov this preseason.

We also discuss the news concerning the NHL salary cap for 2024-25 and how that will help the Islanders sign new players or re-sign their own players next year.

And we continue our player by player look at the team with Varlamov who needs to be steady as the team's backup goalie this year.

All this and more on today's Locked On Islanders Podcast with Gil Martin.
