The New York Islanders Have Given Out 10 no-trade or partial no-trade clauses to players on their roster. Today we discuss how this makes it more difficult for the team to make trades, get younger and free up cap space. Can Lou Lamoriello get the team a scorer and a puck moving defenseman to improve this team after giving out all those NTCs?

Plus, the Bridgeport Islanders hired two new assistant coaches and signed a former Isles player to their roster. We discuss how Tanner Fritz will help Bridgeport and the background of the two new assistants.

And we discuss William Dufour's scouting report as we continue our look at the top prospects in the New York Islanders system.

The New York Islanders fans apparently have very little confidence in the direction that Lou Lamoriello and the front office are taking as the Isles ranked dead last in a poll in The Athletic among NHL teams in how confident the fan base is with the direction of the team. We discuss the poll and why the Isles ranked the way they did.

Plus, the NHL's national television schedule has been released and we discuss which Isles games will be on ABC, ESPN, TNT or ESPN plus and which games have had time changes as a result of the national television schedule.

And we analyze the scouting report on goalie Tristan Lennox and what his potential and future look like for the Isles.

Today we have a special crossover episode with Rachel Donner of Locked On Flyers. We discuss what the New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers did this offseason and what the expectations are for both teams.

The Flyers have some goaltending questions and how will John Tortorella handle a team that is now admittedly in a full rebuild.

And are the Islanders good enough to make the playoffs by bringing back the same cast. By extending Ilya Sorokin and having a full year of Bo Horvat and a healthy Mathew Barzal, is that enough for the Isles to improve over last season.

We also have our bold predictions for both teams and the Metropolitan Division.

The New York Islanders made the playoffs last season but struggled at the start of many games when they just didn't look ready to play when the puck was dropped. This is surprising for a veteran team. How can Lane Lambert, Anders Lee and Bo Horvat and company prevent this from being a problem again in 2023-24? We discuss several things the team can do on today's show.

Plus, we continue our look at the team's top prospects as we examine 2022 draft pick Isaiah George. What does the young defenseman bring to the table and how soon will he be NHL ready? We discuss all that and more on today's Locked On Islanders Podcast with Gil Martin.

The rumors that the New York Islanders may be able to trade for Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander have cooled off as Nylander indicated he wanted to remain in Toronto long term. We discuss what Nylander said and some possibilities that the Isles could acquire him down the road if contract negotiations with Toronto don't work out.

Bo Horvat is now dealing with a lawsuit on Long Island about his new home as Bo meets Long Island NIMBYism. Hopefully it won't hurt his play on the ice.

And we continue our look at the Isles top prospects with a look at Finnish winger Eetu Liukas. We discuss what his skill set is, what he needs to do to reach the NHL and how he projects at the NHL level.

Can Bo Horvat be more productive this season and live up to his $8.5 million cap hit? What will it take for him to come close to his career season of a year ago? The Islanders need to find a third linemate for him and Mathew Barzal and they need to make sure Bo is comfortable.

We also look at NHL.com's fantasy hockey projections for the Islanders and it's not surprising that the Isles had only two players in the top 100 and one of them was goalie Ilya Sorokin.

And we continue our analysis of the Isles top prospects with a look at defenseman Calle Odelius. What are his best skills, what does he need to improve on to reach the NHL and when is he projected to be ready to play here on Long Island.

New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal is a great skater and passer but should he be shooting the puck more often or would that play away from his strengths? We look at the many sides of this argument on today's show.

Where should Pierre Engvall play in the Islanders lineup this season? Is he going to continue to play with Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri or is he better off moving elsewhere in the lineup?

And we continue our look at the Isles top prospects with our analysis and scouting report on Matthew Maggio. Can he turn his outstanding final season in juniors into a spot in the Islanders lineup, what does he need to do to get there and when will he be ready?

All this and more on today's Locked On Islanders Podcast with Gil Martin.

The New York Islanders finished in the top five in the NHL in goals allowed last season but what will it take to be that good again this year? The cast is more or less the same but there is definitely room for improvement and we break down the keys to it on today's show from keeping Adam Pelech and Ryan Pulock healthy to Alexander Romanov continuing his growth and more.

Plus, former Isles GM Garth Snow speaks about the departure of John Tavares and sheds some new light on an event that still angers many Islanders fans to this day.

And we start our look at Isles prospects with Ruslan Iskhakov. Is the Russian forward big enough and skilled enough to succeed in the NHL and what will he need to do to get there?
