There are only six weeks left in the 2021 season. The Jets are out of the Playoff race, but the remaining games have importance. Young players have an opportunity to show they belong. Today John discusses three players who have been inconsistent to date but could use a strong finish to the season to grow confidence. They are Zach Wilson, Quinnen Williams, and Mekhi Becton.

The Jets got their third victory of the 2021 season yesterday as they overcame an early 11 point deficit to defeat the Houston Texans 21-14. In spite of the win, many Jets fans didn't feel great after the game. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson returned to the lineup after missing four games with a knee injury and was inconsistent. The Jets were, however, able to lean on a dominant defense and a solid rushing game to get the victory. On today's episode of Locked on Jets, John breaks down what happened.

Since it is Thanksgiving week, the podcast schedule has been reconfigured. The mailbag, which usually comes on Wednesday has been moved up to accommodate the holiday. Today's mailbag includes topics such as CJ Mosley's regression, why John is so agitated by the Jets' inability to find a competent kicker, and how much Joe Douglas can be blamed for the lack of Pro Bowl talent on the team. Stay safe if you are traveling this week. Hopefully the show makes your trip a bit more enjoyable.

The Jets entered an easier stretch of the schedule on Sunday, but they were not able to take advantage as they fell to the Miami Dolphins 24-17 at MetLife Stadium. The Jets made mistake after mistake and failed to capitalize on the opportunities they had to win the game. On today's episode of Locked on Jets, John discusses everything that went wrong. It wasn't all negative, however. There were also some bright spots from the rookie class, and John gives them credit.

The Jets play the Dolphins this Sunday at MetLife Stadium. They are looking to get their third win of this season and their first against AFC East competition. On today's show John previews the matchup. He talks about how Joe Flacco matches up with an aggressive Miami defense and which receiver could play a key role in the game. On the defensive side of the ball, the Jets defense just needs to raise its game regardless of what the Dolphins do. All of this and more on today's Locked on Jets game preview.
