The fun only lasted three days for the New York Jets. Coming off a thrilling win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the team traveled to Indianapolis for a game against the Colts on Thursday Night Football. The results were ugly as the Colts won 45-30 in a game that was nowhere near as close as the score would indicate. It was a total no show for the Jets defense as Indianapolis scored a touchdown six of the first seven times it had the ball. The only time the Colts didn't score in that sequence they got to the Jets 2 yard line before being stopped. John breaks down this ugly defeat on today's episode of Locked on Jets.

Heading into Tuesday it would not have been a surprise if the Jets had made a trade. Most of us would have expected the team to be sellers and deal a veteran in the final year of his contract. Instead the Jets made a move to get a player, Kansas City's Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. The price was incredibly low. All they had to give up was tight end Daniel Brown. On today's Locked on Jets episode John talks about the trade and the two players who weren't dealt, Maye and Crowder.

Since we have the trade deadline and a Thursday game this week, the mailbag show is moved up to Tuesday. It comes as no surprise that many of the questions focus on Mike White. Is this sustainable? Should he start? John answers those questions and more. He also discusses the performances of several rising young players on the roster.

Who could have predicted this? Certainly not John. Backup quarterback Mike White stepped into the starting lineup on Sunday and turned in a shocking performance. White became the first Jets quarterback to throw for more than 400 yards in a game since Vinny Testaverde over twenty years ago. He led the Jets back twice from double digit deficits to defeat the AFC leading Cincinnati Bengals yesterday. A week after being completely embarrassed, the Jets bounced back with a big statement. White was the biggest star, but this was a team effort full of contributions from young, emerging talent. John breaks it all down on today's episode of Locked on Jets.

Joe Flacco has just been acquired from the Eagles in a trade. John answers your questions on today's mailbag installment of Locked on Jets.

It was an eventful Monday for the Jets at the quarterback position. Rookie Zach Wilson was diagnosed with a sprained PCL. He will be out 2-4 weeks. This injury certainly isn't good news, but it was far from the worst case scenario. This naturally led to questions about what the Jets would do at the position. Could they really turn to Mike White or Josh Johnson to start for the next month. The answer was no. The team reacquired last year's backup Joe Flacco from the Eagles for a late round pick. John discusses all of this quarterback news on today's episode of Locked on Jets.

The Jets came out of their bye week in the worst fashion imaginable. With two weeks to prepare, the team looked totally unprepared in all phases of the game in a 54-13 loss to the AFC East rival Patriots. Even worse, the Jets suffered a potentially devastating injury as rookie quarterback Zach Wilson was forced to leave the game in the first half with an apparent knee injury. He did not return. On today's episode John discusses the devastation in Foxborough and what it means going forward.
