Are the LA Kings considering a trade for Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse? Could Ken Holland reunite with a player he signed to a huge contract which is the reason Edmonton wants to move him? The conversation focused on why the Kings might pursue Nurse—despite his $9.25 million contract, mixed on-ice results, and past run-in with Quentin Byfield—and whether Edmonton would retain salary to make a deal happen. Is Nurse and significant upgrade to players like Joel Edmundson or Brian Dumoulin? Nick Zararis from Locked on Edmonton Oilers joints to discuss possible trade pieces, including goalie Darcy Kuemper, and examine if Nurse’s physical style compensates for his defensive lapses. Several points were raised, including Ken Holland’s history in Edmonton, leadership changes, and swirling rumors about Connor McDavid’s future. Is this the shake-up LA’s blue line needs or a risky gamble on a divisive veteran? Plus, does the Ontario Reign’s bold new uniforms signal a potential color shift for the Kings.
