Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom grabbed all the preseason headlines, but injuries limited both of the Mets aces this season.

Pitchers like Chris Bassitt, Carlos Carrasco, Taijuan Walker and David Peterson stepped up in their absence to help make the Mets a 101-win team. But who was the most valuable pitcher on the roster?

Host Ryan Finkelstein discusses who brought the most value to the mound for the Mets in 2022 and wonders if it was actually closer Edwin Diaz.

The Philadelphia Phillies are going to the World Series. How did we get here?

Host Ryan Finkelstein discusses the Phillies run and how Mets previous mistakes have been on full display throughout the playoffs.

Players who the Mets should have signed previously like Zack Wheeler, J.T. Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber are all playing pivotal roles for the Phillies.

Not to mention Bryce Harper, who is having a remarkable run through the playoffs and was free to be signed by anyone just a few years ago.

Would things be different if Steve Cohen owned the Mets when Harper was a free agent and will they let a similar opportunity pass them by this offseason with Aaron Judge set to hit the open market?

The New York Mets have a lot of big ticket free agents this offseason, with Jacob deGrom, Edwin Diaz and Brandon Nimmo, who could cost a fortune to retain. Yet if we look at the market, could the best course of action be to run it back with all three?

Host Ryan Finkelstein makes the case for why the Mets should be bringing all three top free agents back next year to bank on this team to have better success in 2023.

He discusses the internal improvements that could take place to put the Mets over the top and also where the team would still need to improve within the margins.

One option the Mets have this offseason to replace Brandon Nimmo in the outfield is to move Jeff McNeil into right field and have Starling Marte return to his natural position of center field.

This would then free the Mets up to sign one of the top tier free agent infielders on the market, such Trea Turner or Xander Bogaerts.

Host Ryan Finkelstein explores if this is the best course of action for the Mets, or if they would be better served keeping their own team together and bringing back Nimmo.

When the New York Mets signed Max Scherzer to a three-year, $130 million contract last offseason, they were betting on the upside of pairing him with Jacob deGrom for a playoff run.

While their first year didn't go as planned, is the upside to great to a pass up doubling down on them again?

Host Ryan Finkelstein makes the case for why keeping deGrom and Scherzer together should be the Mets top priority this offseason.

The Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers each got to skip the Wild Card round of the playoffs with byes but met hot teams in the NLDS and were toppled in embarrassing fashion. Does their failure make the Mets' one a bit easier to swallow?

Host Ryan Finkelstein explores the conflicting emotions of seeing the Braves and Dodgers eliminated, but at the hands of another division rival in the Phillies and the team that beat them in the Padres.

Also, what can we take from how the playoffs have gone so far with how the Mets need to build out their roster next season?

The New York Mets have a big free agent decision to make on Brandon Nimmo this offseason. Can they afford to let one of the best all-around center fielders in baseball walk in free agency?

Host Ryan Finkelstein discusses Nimmo's career year and what type of contract he could command in free agency.

He also goes through a few of the Mets other options if they fail to sign Nimmo, such as reuniting with Michael Conforto.
