The New York Mets closed out their season series against the Phillies in a dramatic fashion, once again coming from behind to beat their division foe. Seth Lugo got knocked out of the game early, but behind great pitching from the bullpen and a resilient offense, the Mets got a much-needed win.

Now comes the Braves, as the Mets will look to keep this momentum to get back into playoff position.

The New York Mets were dealt a scary blow on Wednesday when Jacob deGrom exited the game after pitching just two innings due to a hamstring injury. Luckily the injury does not appear to be too significant, but how should the Mets manage his starts with little time left in a mostly lost season?

Now despite losing deGrom, the Mets rallied back late in that game behind a breakout performance from J.D. Davis. With Davis powering the offense and some great work out of the bullpen, New York had a victory that saved their season....At least for one night.
