The New York Mets have finally won their first series of the season, take the last two over the weekend against the Miami Marlins. With the bats starting to wake up and the bullpen looking as if it has turned the corner, maybe the Mets can start to pick up some momentum.

Also Andres Gimenez continues to impress in his rookie season, as he scored three runs in the game on Sunday. His great play has even started to garner some Rookie of the Year attention.

Rick Porcello had his best start in a Mets uniform thus far on Wednesday, holding the Nationals to just one run across seven innings pitched. Porcello was backed up by outstanding infield defense, particularly by Andres Gimenez and J.D. Davis. Should the Mets look to keep those guys in the infield moving forward?

Also New York made a trade to acquire a pitcher from the Rangers that was baffling. Why does the front office continue to make mistakes managing this roster?

The New York Mets have lost Robinson Cano just when he was getting red-hot, as the second baseman landed on the injured list on Tuesday. After losing Cano, the Mets starting lineup lacked a offensive punch and they lost their first matchup against the Nationals.

What are different lineups the Mets could roll out due to their injuries? Also, is the clock ticking on Steven Matz to reach his potential?

The New York Mets finally gave Jacob deGrom some run support on Monday, scoring seven runs en route to his first victory of the season. Along with deGrom's great pitching, Jared Hughes excelled in his Mets debut out of the pen and the bats came alive.

Unfortunately one Met was scratched from the lineup prior to the game and two went down during it. Where do the Mets stand if Jeff McNeil, Robinson Cano and/or Amed Rosario miss some time?

The rollercoaster ride that has been Yoenis Cespedes' tenure with the New York Mets came to a close on Sunday, as he opted out of the season due to COVID-19 concerns. Cespedes carried the Mets to the World Series in 2015, and to back-to-back postseason appearances in 2016. Unfortunately the end of his time in New York was marred due to injuries.

Also listen to hear about some of the young players on the Mets that have been performing well this season, namely Andres Gimenez and David Peterson.

The New York Mets suffered a brutal loss on Wednesday, which made us all realize that baseball is back in Queens. Jacob deGrom pitched great but got no run support. The Mets collected hits but stranded 26 runners on base, failing to cash in countless times.

Ultimately the bottom of the ninth was a great opportunity for New York to steal a victory and they came up just short. Listen for a breakdown of all the drama, including some questionable managerial decisions by Luis Rojas. Also top prospect Andres Gimenez made his first big league start.

The New York Mets broke out in a big way offensively on Monday night, as three home runs powered them to a convincing victory over the Boston Red Sox. Michael Wacha made his Mets debut and put together an outstanding start, giving some hope to an otherwise questionable starting rotation.

Despite all of the positives we saw from New York on the field, all of it was overshadowed by the first COVID outbreak of this season. The Miami Marlins had at least 11 players test positive for the virus, putting the rest of this season in jeopardy.
