In this episode, I share my notes on game three of the first round series between the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets. At the center of the episode was the absolute dominate performance by Derick White, who seemed intent to not just out-duel Jamal Murray, but to humiliate him in the process. I talk about Murray's two biggest weaknesses - inability to contain dribble penetration and a slow first step on offense - and how White and the Spurs have built an entire game plan around it. I also talk about the continued slump of Will Barton, the impressive play of Malik Beasley, and why there is reason to believe that the Nuggets still have adjustments that they can make to shift this series back in their favor.
The gain was a bit high on this one. Still listenable but the audio quality is a bit below the norm. Apologies! Recording on the road is always tough.

In this episode, I share my notes on Denver's comeback win against the San Antonio Spurs. Jamal Murray was horrible...until suddenly he was the best player in the world. Nikola Jokic continued to make plays while still trying to figure out how to attack Jakob Poeltl. Lastly, I close today's show by reminding fans what Will Barton has meant to this Denver Nuggets team and why booing him in his darkest hour, tears apart a piece of our soul as Nuggets fans in a way that damages this special night.

He also provides his perspective on Denver's cold shooting night and how much should be credited to the Spurs. Lastly, we discuss the likelihood of a rabid armadillo invading the Nuggets' locker room at the AT&T center during game 3.

In this episode, I share my notes on game one of the Nuggets-Spurs series. San Antonio’s game plan was centered around forcing the ball out of the hands of Nikola Jokic. I share my thoughts on how Jokic handled that plan, whether or not he should’ve been more aggressive looking for his shot, and what both he and the Nuggets as a whole can do to combat that game plan.

In this episode, I share my notes on Denver's 118-108 loss to the Utah Jazz. Rudy Gobert dominated inside, holding Nikola Jokic to just 2 points and 6 fouls. Paul Millsap also struggled to get going against Utah's stout interior defense. Gary Harris must've taken offense to reports of his athletic demise as he finished three dunks in this game. Malik Beasley started to look like his old self. And for the 3rd time in as many games, Will Barton did not play in the 4th quarter. I share my thoughts on all of those plot points and explain why, despite stumbling toward the finish line, the Denver Nuggets are still in position to create the perfect playoff bracket.

In this episode, I share my notes on both games against the Portland Trail Blazers. On Sunday, the Denver Nuggets chose to rest Paul Millsap, Nikola Jokic, and Jamal Murray and head coach Michael Malone elected to leave Will Barton, Gary Harris, and Monte Morris on the bench late in the 4th quarter. The Nuggets blew an 8-point lead but was that by design? And is Denver being smart about their end of season strategy? On Friday, Torrey Craig closed over Will Barton. Was that the right move and should we expect Craig to close more games going forward? Lastly, I look at Gary Harris's season since his injury and explain the one thing he needs to do in order to help the Nuggets succeed in the playoffs.
