Folks, Ethan Smith is having a blast for Opening Day week, and on today's second Wednesday episode, Ethan is joined by former Pittsburgh Pirates catcher and current broadcast team member Michael McKenry with Opening Day approaching tomorrow.

Ethan starts by asking Michael on his thoughts about Henry Davis entering his first campaign as the full-time catcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates and what he's seen from Davis in the offseason and in spring that could show optimism for the former first overall pick.

Michael also gives his thoughts on the Pirates Spring Training and offseason, highlighting strengths and weaknesses he's seen from the club so far.

Finally, Michael shares his thoughts on the opening series versus the Marlins and shares some of his season predictions for the 2024 Pirates.

Derek Shelton and Co. released the Opening Day roster on Monday, and host Ethan Smith has some thoughts about it.

Obviously IL stints, be them short and long, impacted some decisions here, but the Pirates did some good things and some that Ethan hesitates to say are good ideas, but he breaks down the entire Opening Day roster on today's episode of Locked On Pirates.

It's Thursday, March 14, and that means it's Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Breakout Day, as the Pirates top prospects take on the Orioles top prospects tonight!

Host Ethan Smith spoke about the game last week, but now we have more news about a potential lineup, some pitchers who will and will not be competing in the matchup and more.

Also, Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery, along with some other viable starting pitchers, are still free agents with two weeks remaining until Opening Day(excluding the Seoul Series). With questions still remaining in the rotation and the NL Central being a very winnable division, should the Pirates kick the tires on the remaining starting pitching free agents?

Finally, Ethan delivers your March 14 Spring News and Notes.
