In Episode 1236, Sean Woodley and Vivek Jacob discuss the end of the Kevin Durant trade demand and what it means for the Toronto Raptors as they head into a season where the Brooklyn Nets once again look like contenders in the Eastern Conference. Off the top, they chat about whether the Nets should be considered to be among the East's upper tier of teams once again, even with the many questions that still linger for them about Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving and the overall roster construction. Next, they reflect on what we learned about the Raptors, the front office's view of the team, and the trajectory over the next couple seasons from the months-long KD saga, and veer off into a chat about the future of Gary Trent Jr. with the team. Lastly, Sean and Vivek chat about some of the back end roster churn, the end of the Svi Mykhailiuk era, and who has the inside track at what appears to be just one available roster spot going into training camp in a month's time.

In Episode 1235, Sean Woodley and Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) dig into Pascal Siakam's growth as a player, and whether the Toronto Raptors star has another leap to make going into next season. Off the top, they chat about which subtle improvements in his game were most responsible for him levelling up as a player last season, before taking a look at which areas of his game will need to improve the most going into the 2022-23 season if in fact he has another leap to make. Could an improved, healthier and more balanced supporting cast help him make that leap without much in the way of individual improvement? And how important is Siakam's three-point stroke to unleashing an even better of the two-time All-NBA forward. Lastly, Sean and Vivek examine Siakam's place within the hierarchy of Eastern Conference stars, and discuss whether the emergence of Scottie Barnes could limit Siakam's potential ascendence into the elite of the elite in the East.

In Episode 1234, Sean Woodley returns from vacation and is joined by Katie Heindl (DIME) for the first fresh pod in more than three weeks! Recorded just before the news that Kevin Durant will be staying with the Brooklyn Nets, Sean and Katie discuss why they're pretty much over the idea of Durant on the Toronto Raptors -- which works out very well considering the news of the day! Next, they talk about Ben Golliver's piece for the Washington Post on the Raptors being a sleeping giant in the Eastern Conference, whether that's a new revelation or not for folks who have been super plugged into the team over the last year or so, and the idea of the Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Raptors being the future of the East. Lastly, they chat about the serious lack of good rivalries in the NBA, who the biggest rivals of the Raptors are (the NBA says it's the Golden State Warriors with the two squads matching up during this season's Rivals Week, but that can't be true... can it?), and more!

In Episode 1233, Sean Woodley and Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) reflect on the Vince Carter trade from the Toronto Raptors to the New Jersey Nets in the middle of the 2004-05 season, and the many returns Carter made to Toronto in which he destroyed his old team, leaving Sean and Vivek to ask the question: should Raptors fans maybe actually still be mad at Vince? Ultimately, the answer is probably no, because it was a long time ago and the Raptors have since won an NBA Title -- something VC never did -- but still, those early returns, which featured some huge scoring outbursts and late-game daggers, were truly miserable! Come re-live them with us, because being sad in a group is what sports are all about.

In Episode 1232, Sean Woodley is joined by Joseph Casciaro (The Score) to look back at the Toronto Raptors' Game 7 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on a missed Vince Carter buzzer-beater back in 2001, and why it still resonates as one of the great heartbreaks -- and what-ifs -- in Raptors history. Off the top, they discuss the epic series that lead up to the deciding game in Philly, Vince's decision to go to his UNC graduation the day of the game and why it's silly that it still gets held onto as a point of angst by some corners of the fan base, before diving into the absolute slog of a Game 7 that gave way to Vince's critical miss on the final play off the game. They also wonder what might have happened had the Raptors won that series, and even advanced to the Finals against the Lakers, and whether those outcomes might have altered the way the eventual divorce between Vince and team went down.

In Episode 1231, Sean Woodley and Katie Heindl conclude their epic three-part off-season Toronto Raptors mailbag, the contents of which is a total mystery because Sean has very much forgotten them in the time since recording! Enjoy it though. It's definitely very good.

In Episode 1230, Sean Woodley and Katie Heindl continue to run through the many listener questions sent in for a Toronto Raptors mega off-season maibag in part two of three. Once again, Sean can't quite remember all the way back to when this was recording, but it's safe to say your favs like Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. come up at some point, and if not, there's plenty of good stuff inside anyway!

In Episode 1229, Sean Woodley and Katie Heindl answer the first set of Toronto Raptors-themed listener questions in a three-part mega mailbag. It's all sorts of fun, although because it was recorded so long ago and Sean's memory is not so awesome, the contents of each of the three parts will be a surprise! Oooooh. Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, Gary Trent Jr., Kevin Durant, and other players with less search enging value than those guys will surely come up.

In Episode 1228, Sean Woodley and Freddie Rivas (Confederacy of Dunks) look back at the Toronto Raptors Game 1 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 Eastern Conference Semi Finals. Sean and Freddie look back at the anticipation ahead of that series, and all the reasons why it seemed like the Raptors had to juice to pull off a long-awaited series win against LeBron James, as that Cavs team simply wasn't all that good, and had just barely scraped by the Pacers in the first round in seven games. They also talk about how Game 1 irreparably broke the team, the Game 3 buzzer beater by LeBron to all but end the series, and the fallout from the series loss. Lastly, they ask the question: do the Raptors win the 2019 championship if the Raptors go on to beat the Cavs? The answer might leave you feeling a little less sad about one of the most upsetting games in Raptors history.

In Episode 1227, Sean Woodley and Amit Mann (Yahoo! Sports Canada) reflect on the Toronto Raptors' Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics back in 2020 Disney Bubble. They break down how incredible the 2019-20 team was, and what a shame it was that what seemed like a team of destiny had their year derailed by the COVID lockdown and league shutdown. They also dig into the elements of Game 7 that stand out most in their minds, including Norman Powell's many final-minute miscues, the Jayson Tatum offensive rebound that should never have been, Kyle Lowry fouling out in the last minute, and Fred VanVleet's doomed final possession that lead to a three that came up way short. Lastly, Sean and Ami consider what might have happened had the Raptors won that series. Would they have beaten Jimmy Butler and the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals? And if so, would they have been served up for yet another loss to LeBron James, this time in the NBA Finals? Or would they have avenged the many pre-championship shortcomings against The King?
