In Episode 1197, Sean Woodley is joined by Mike Richman (Locked On Blazers) for a crossover episode about OG Anunoby, the trade rumours tying him to the Portland Trail Blazers as they look to retool around Damian Lillard, and why it's unlikely that the Toronto Raptors would look to move the forward, even for a package involving the 7th-overall pick and Josh Hart. Off the top, they detail what makes OG such a good player, and why the Raptors would or would not be compelled to move him this off-season. Next, they attempt to piece together a package that mightm make sense for both sides. Josh Hart and #7 doesn't quite move the needle for Toronto in all likelihood, but what if Nassir Little were thrown in? And at that point does it become a little to rich for Portland to pull the trigger? Could something involving Anfernee Simons at all be on the table? Or is he valued to highly by the Blazers? Or perhaps Jusuf Nurkic makes sense for a Raptors team that doesn't have a traditional center? (He doesn't). Ultimately, if you're a Blazers fan eager to see OG in Portland, this is probably going to leave you feeling kind of sad.

In Episode 1196, Sean Woodley is joined by Katie Heindl to discuss Fred VanVleet, his potential contract extension that could be handed out this summer, and what makes him so essential to what the Raptors are building. Off the top, they dig into the possibility of him receiving either a 3-year / $89 million OR a 4-year / $114 million extension this summer, and why it would be a no-brainer for the Raptors to lock him up for the long haul. Next, they examine some of the fringe criticisms of VanVleet's game and why they really don't hold much water when you take a look at his track record, and also factor in who he learned the ropes of the NBA from -- Kyle Lowry, the most adaptable, team-first dude Toronto's ever seen. Lastly, they chat about whether they'd consider moving VanVleet in the event a star like Donovan Mitchell were the return, and why the idea of moving Fred is more complex than just looking to improve upon his on-court ability -- he's pretty darn essential to the culture and locker room as well.

In Episode 1195, Sean Woodley goes solo for another off-season Wednesday mailbag episode to answer a handful of interesting Toronto Raptors-related questions. Off the top, Sean examines what the Raptors might be able to do to grease the wheels of their half court offense next season, from unlocking Precious Achiuwa as a vertical role threat, to simply running a little more pick-and-roll, and banking on some internal developement both from Toronto's playmakers and shooters. Next, Sean digs into the question of who will be the #2 player in usage on next year's team behind Pascal Siakam. Will Scottie Barnes be turned loose as a scorer and creator? Or will Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr. or OG Anunoby end up being the team's second-most used offensive player? Plus, Sean offers some quick thoughts on Raptors 905 losing head coach Patrick Mutumbo to the Phoenix Suns. Lastly, Sean talks about whether the Raptors could find themselves in any sort of salary cap peril in the coming years, and why he typically feels pretty comfortable with Bobby Webster and Masai Ujiri's ability to wriggle out of cap trouble. And lastly, will Justin Champagnie be a rotation player next year? Sean sure thinks so.

In Episode 1194, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) to talk about the Toronto Raptors 2019 NBA Championship win and how it is standing up to the test of time in the three years since Kyle Lowry, Kawhi Leonard and friend hoisted the Larry OB. Off the top, Sean and Vivek discuss how any notion that the Raptors won because of good injury luck was dumb at the time, but has evolved to look even dumber in the intervening years as the Lakers and Bucks have both won titles that required plenty of good injury luck, the way most titles do. They also examine how the Raptors defense from 2019 will surely hold up as one of the greatest playoff defenses of all time. Next, they take a look back at the roster that won the championship, which was freaking loaded! Any team that can earn north of $700 million in contracts combined since winning the title had a lot of talent on hand. To close things out, Sean and Vivek discuss how the 2019 Raptors might compare to the other recent NBA champions, and reflect on how many titles the Raptors might have had Kawhi Leonard start in Toronto instead of joining the Los Angeles Clippers. Fun show!

In Episode 1193, Sean Woodley is joined by Rafael Barlowe (Locked On NBA Big Board) to talk about the Toronto Raptors' options with the 33rd-overall pick in this year's NBA Draft on June 23rd. Off the top, Sean chats briefly with Rafael about Scottie Barnes' rookie season, and whether Rafael was surprised by how advanced Barnes was so early in his career (spoiler: pretty surprised!), before talking about the amorphous nature of the middle part of this year's draft class, where a bunch of guys could go anywhere between 15th and 35th and it wouldn't be all that stunning. Next, they dig into some specific guys who might be there at 33 and their various levels of fit in Toronto, from the raw and unseasoned Canadian Leonard Miller, who looked out of place at the NBA Draft combine, but clearly has physical tools to build on, to Ohio State's EJ Liddell, whose beefy measurables belie his big time athleticism. Plus, they chat about Wendell Moore Jr. and Trevor Keels of the Duke Blue Devils, and Dalen Terry and Christian Koloko of Arizona. Plus, who should Raptors fans be hoping to see slide down the board on Draft night despite having a mid to high first-round projection? Could athletic french big man Ismaël Kamagate be the answer to the Raptors' long-term questions at center? All that, plus more, with one of the best draft analysts in the business.

In Episode 1192, Sean Woodley is joined by Katie Heindl (DIME, Basketball Feelings) to talk about the Toronto Raptors current jersey looks and why the team feels like it's in need of a re-design after their most recent rebrand was a pretty big miss. Off the top they dig into the current set of uniforms, why they leave them both wanting more, and whether the Tampa season will forever make this current set of jersey designs tied to bad and cursed feelings. Next, they talk about the elements they'd like to see be front facing in a new element. Both Sean and Katie agree purple is due for a big time comeback -- and not in the muted, disappointed fashion we saw in 2020-21 -- while chevrons need to br thrown out for good. Also, what about a jersey made of feathers? Or scales? Why must we be stuck with simple polyester blends as the only accepted jersey material! This was a weird one, hope you like it.

In Episode 1191, Sean Woodley goes solo to answer a boat load of mailbag questions about the Toronto Raptors. Off the top, Sean examines whether or not Gary Trent Jr. is in fact too expensive to bring him off the bench despite Sean's declared stance that he should be the sixth man going into next season. Next, Sean assembles a starting five of players on the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, discusses whether or not the Raptors actually need to prioritize the center position at all this summer, and some interesting talents plying their trade in the Canadian Elite Basketball League who could potentially be NBA contributors, perhaps even for the Raptors! Lastly, Sean digs deep into a question about Toronto's defensive identity, and whether a switch to a more conservative scheme is in order considering the one-on-one defense talent the roster oozes with, and the surprisingly decent half court offense Toronto cobbled together last season, perhaps suggesting a dependence on transition buckets isn't so necessary. All that, plus talk about trading up in the draft and more!

In Episode 1190, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) to talk about whether the Toronto Raptors should be in the market for one of Donovan Mitchell or Rudy Gobert if the Utah Jazz intend to trade one or both of them. Off the top, they talk about the philosophy of cashing in your chips for a team in the Raptors position, and whether the ability and fit of Gobert or Mitchell are good enough to move on from important core pieces to land. Plus, who is even the more preferable option between the two? Next, they talk about Gobert, how his defense would unquestionably help the Raptors, the challenges in putting a trade together for a guy who makes $38 million next season, and why a trade built around OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. would be a little much to stomach. Next, Sean and Vivek examine the potential fit of Mitchell, who makes less money than Gobert and thus is a little easier to come up with a package for that is legal under the rules of the salary cap. But is he enough of a game-changer for the Raptors to pull the plug on Vision 6'9 after just one season? Plus, how much should locker room concerns be factored into the conversation? Ultimately, neither Vivek or Sean think the Raptors should be in the Mitchell/Gobert business, but it sure is fun to talk about!

In Episode 1189, Sean Woodley brings back last week's smash hit "Mid-Level Madness" format to discuss some more potential Toronto Raptors free agency targets with their $10.3 million mid-level exception, chosen of course by the powers of the bedazzled hat containing a whole bunch of names. Off the top, Sean talks about one of his personal favourite mid-level targets, Phoenix Suns center and mercenary backup for all sorts of recent contenders, JaVale McGree. Frankly, if you don't want McGee on the Raptors, you should be the one on Shaqtin' a Fool. The next name from the hat is Mo Bamba, who offers much more youth than McGee, as well as a fledgling three-point stroke, but how do you separate a guy like Bamba from the stink of the Orlando Magic? Next out of the hat is Bryn Forbes, most recently of the Denver Nuggets, who might be the best three-point shooter on the market, period, but does his lack of defensive ability make him something of a rich man's Matt Thomas? Then, Sean makes the case for and against Gary Harris, whose defense and shooting would be an awesome addition to the Raptors, if only he can stay on the floor. Lastly, Sean talks about Minnesota Timberwolves win Tauren Prince, who has always seemed like a better player than he actually has been. Could the Raptors turn him into a dependable role player? All that, plus an NBA Finals preview with 7-time NBA champion Robert Horry on Locked On Sports Today as he tees up the Boston Celtics tilt with the Golden State Warriors.

In Episode 1188, Sean Woodley sorts through the potential of the Toronto Raptors being a potential landing spot for pending free agent Phoenix Suns center Deandrea Ayton and gets the lowdown on Ayton's situation from Brendon Kleen of Locked On Suns. Off the top, Sean talks about the difficulty in evaluating Ayton and his possible fit with the Raptors. Is he a versatile enough offensive and defensive player to fit into Nick Nurse's system without compromising the vision the Raptors are clearly shooting for? Or would devoting more than $30 million a year to an imperfect fit at the five do more damage than good? Next, Sean welcomes in Brendon to get a read on Ayton's strengths and weaknesses as a player, how the Suns view him, and what it might take to pry him away from Phoenix. Then, Sean and Brendon discuss a couple sign-and-trade frameworks, including a straight OG Anunoby for Ayton swap, and a less Suns-friendly deal built around Gary Trent Jr. Is there a match? Tune in to find out!
