In Episode 1178, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down the 2021-22 season that was for Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. Off the top, Sean digs into what makes Trent such a delight to watch. He's a true embodiment of the gunner's spirit, the type of guy who makes the 82-game grind a lot more fun to watch, and who can swing an important game with a well-time heater with the best of them. More importantly, he was vital to the Raptors' offense in their best and worst moments all season long. And while he's not an outstanding defensive player, he's found a way to toe the line between aggression in hunting for steals and not fouling to a pretty impressive degree. Next, Sean talks about what needs work as Trent heads into his second off-season with the Raptors, with an emphasis on leaning even further into the stuff he's good at defensively, while trying to do whatever possible to improve as an on-ball defensive player. Plus, is there any more playmaking to tap into for GTJ? And what about a floater game? Lastly, Sean discusses his Stat and Play of the Year for Trent, before officially kicking off the campaign to let Gary cook as the Sixth Man he was born to be in 2022-23.

In Episode 1177, Sean Woodley is joined by Samson Folk (Raptors Republic) to review the season of Toronto Raptors forward and the jewell of the Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade, Precious Achiuwa. Off the top, Sean and Samson dig into their biggest positive takeaways from Achiuwa's first season in Toronto. While he may not be the best overall defender on the Raptors just yet, he certainly is capable of the highest highs, and he just might be the guy who unlocks Vision 6'9 as a viable team building model for Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster. Next, they talk about the areas of Achiuwa's game that need the most work, which are mostly confined to the offensive end of the floor. He siimply needs to learn to set a darn screen! To close out the show, Sean and Samson share their favourite Precious plays of the year, their most intriguing stats on Achiuwa's ledger from the season, and take a look at what to expect from him going into 2022-23. Consider the "Start Precious" campaign launched. Will and All-Defense campaign be soon to follow?

In Episode 1176, Sean Woodley is joined by Crina Mustafa (The Parleh) to review the 2021-22 season of Toronto Raptors All-Star point guard Fred VanVleet. Off the top, they dig into VanVleet ascension to All-Star status, and the improvements in his mid-range, at-the-rim and overall floor game that helped get him there as the clear best player on the Raptors during the early parts of the season. Next, Sean and Crina discuss the nagging knee and hip injuries that kept Fred from being anywhere close to 100% after the All-Star break, the statistical drop-off he experienced, and whether injuries were fully to blame for his diminished play after the February break. Plus, they dig into how the Raptors to work to prevent similar issues from popping up for VanVleet going into next season. Lastly, Sean and Crina run through their favourite FVV stats and plays of the year before looking ahead to 2022-23. Will VanVleet repeat as an All-Star? Or could a less front-facing role within the offense actually help the Raptors improve, even if it cuts into his All-Star level production?

In Episode 1175, Sean Woodley is joined by Katie Heindl (DIME, Basketball Feelings) to dig into the season that was for Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby. Off the top, Sean and Katie dig into their biggest positive takeaways from OG Anunoby's injury-interupted 2021-22 season, including the crystalization of his role as the ultimate glue guy for this Raptors team, the type of player every team that has designs on winning big absolutely needs to have. Next, Sean and Katie discuss the elephant in the room with OG, which is his injury history. How much should his missed time affect the way the Raptors front office views him going forward? Does the team need to have contingencies on hand in the event Anunoby continues to miss extended periods of time? Or is being prone to injury only a thing until it isn't? Lastly, Sean and Katie run through their favourite OG stats and plays of the year before looking ahead to what they hope to see from him in 2022-23. Will he finally put himself into the All-Star conversation? Or take his rightful place on an All-Defense team?

In Episode 1174, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) to review the season that was for Toronto Raptors star forward and possible All-NBA selection Pascal Siakam. Off the top, they dig into their biggest takeaways from Siakam's outstanding year. Siakam found joy once again this season, and carried it throughout the whole season, cementing himself as a clear piece of the Raptors' core alongside Scottie Barnes going forward. They also tackle the question: is Siakam already a better all-time Raptor than Chris Bosh was? Next, Sean and Vivek discuss what if anything Siakam can improve upon going into next season. There weren't many nits to pick with his output in 2021-22, but could he stand to improve as a three-point and long mid-range shooting to make him an even more difficult guy to cover? Absolutely. To close the show, Sean and Vivek share each their Siakam-related Stat of the Year -- both of which were tied to Siakam's immense gravity while on the floor. Plus, they share their favourite Siakam plays of the year, and take a look ahead to what to expect from him in 2022-23, as Scottie Barnes presumably assumes a larger role in year two.

In Episode 1173, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down the season that was for Toronto Raptors forward Chris Boucher. Off the top, Sean digs into how Boucher transformed his game this season, going from becoming a guy with good stats but without much on-court impact on winning, into a truly positive force on both ends of the floor in a reserve role. Sean talks about how Boucher leaned into offensive rebounding, cutting, and a more fine tuned approach to defense to make him an obvious priority for the Raptors as he hits free agency this summer. Next, Sean digs into Boucher's down year from three-point range, and whether it might be possible for Boucher to tick back up closer to league average next season simply by changing the spots on the floor from which most of his three point attempts come. Lastly, Sean discusses his Stat of the Year for Boucher, and why that number suggests Boucher was overlooked when it came to this year's Sixth Man of the Year conversation. Plus, Sean runs through his favourite Play of the Year for Boucher, and examines what the Raptors might be able to pay him this off-season as they look to keep him around. They can't afford to lose him, can they?

In Episode 1172, Sean Woodley goes solo to review the season of Toronto Raptors star rookie Scottie Barnes. Off the top, Sean discusses his biggest positive takeaway from Barnes' Rookie of the Year-winning campaign, which is simply that he's clearly on the road to stardom, and a type of stardom that doesn't really have a close comparable. Don't put Scottie in the corner, because as he showed in his first season, he can wear all sorts of hats and wear them fiercely. Next, Sean takes a look at the three areas Barnes needs the most improvement in, including his on-ball defense, the three-point stroke, and his understanding of the limitations of his teammates, all of whom are decidedly not Scottie Barnes when it comes to seeing plays before they happen. Lastly, Sean's Stat of the Year for Barnes is his shooting percentage from inside 10 feet, which should be replicable going forward considering how unguardable Barnes can be onces he gets into close range. For the Barnes Play of the Year, soon looks back at Barnes' own look back dunk against LeBron James at Scotiabank Arena. Lastly, Sean takes a look at what to expect from Barnes in year two. Can he tick up his usage? Will he be the best player on the Raptors by the end of 2022-23? Sean addresses those questions and more.

In Episode 1171, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down the season-ending press conference by Toronto Raptors vice chairman Masai Ujiri. Off the top, Sean details why the degree to which Masai preached the importance of patience in the building of the team should be music to fans' ears, considering that it suggests the Raptors will not skip steps as they look to straddle the line between winning and development. Sean then digs into an interesting question asked by Raptors sideline reporter Amy Audibert regarding the non-negotiable traits the Raptors look for in the players they bring in, and how Ujiri's answer suggests the Raptors are very much okay with leaning fully into the novel playing style they deployed this season. Lastly, Sean plays Masai's touching words about the growth of Pascal Siakam and the way he perservered through his low points to regain All-NBA status this season, and talks about why they feel like a confirmation that Siakam is here for the long haul.

In Episode 1170, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) to kick off this year's Season In Review series of episodes with a look at the big picture takeaways from a successful 2021-22 Toronto Raptors season. Off the top, they dig into the biggest positive takeaways from the season that was, including the realization that Vision 6'9 seems like a viable team-building model, even if some tinkering probably needs to be done with the roster to ensure the Raptors have more than one note to hit when things matter most. Next, they talk about some of the negative takeaways from the season that should inform the Raptors' off-season decision-making, including the glaring lack of depth in the middle and back parts of the roster and the need for extra shooting in the mix, in addition to Fred VanVleet's health and the ways the Raptors can go about protecting him from breaking down in future seasons. Then to close out the show, Sean and Vivek introduce the Stat of the Year and Play of the Year segments that will run through the Season in Review series. In the Stat of the Year portion, Sean and Vivek talk about the Raptors; record against teams over .500, as well as the curious +0.5 NET Rating for the Raptors most talented and most-used lineup. In the Play of the Year, Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes shine.

In Episode 1169, Sean Woodley goes solo from Scotiabank Arena following the Toronto Raptors' Game 6 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 6 of their first round NBA playoff series. Off the top, Sean digs into how James Harden's excellent performance forced the Raptors to alter their game plan, and ultimately led to Toronto losing the formula that saw the Raptors take control of the series between Games 3 and 5. The Raptors also badly missed Fred VanVleet and his two-man game with Pascal Siakam, and Sean digs into how the lack of dependable shooting on the floor ultimately made the math untenable for Nick Nurse's squad. Next, Sean runs through his game notes on each of the Raptors regulars who played in Game 6, and examines both their Game 6 efforts as well as their season-long accomplishments. Lastly, Sean takes questions from the live stream viewers, and puts a cap on what was an awesome Raptors season, despite the lopsided end result.
