Locked On Sun Devils - Daily Podcast On Arizona State Sun Devils Football & Basketball

After looking at potential transfers and true freshmen who could start for Arizona State Sun Devils football in 2024, we focus on last year's recruiting class and the redshirt freshmen who could start for the program next season. While there was a slew of freshmen in the 2023 recruiting cycle for the Sun Devils, the vast majority of them saw redshirt seasons used due to a lack of playing time given the veterans and transfers ahead of them. Thankfully, most of those guys returned for another season and could be primed for starting roles if they work hard enough. Plenty of players standout from guys like wide receiver Kaleb Black to defensive linemen Landen Thomas and Kyran Bourda. We also could have some interesting competition in the secondary between guys like Montana Warren, who looked like a budding star in training camp before injury, Keontez Bradley, and Lenox Lawson. There will be no shortage of competition among the redshirt freshmen and the rest of their competition, but host Richie Bradshaw attempts to sort out the guys with the best chance to start on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

The incoming 2024 recruiting class for Arizona State Sun Devils football has plenty of talented freshmen, some of whom will be difficult to keep off the football field. Of course, they will be joining a program that has tons of new and returning faces that will drive steep competition. After the 2023 class so a lot of redshirts due to the competition, there's a genuine possibility that the 2024 class faces the same fate. But with that being said, there are a handful of players who can fight their way into significant playing roles and some into starting positions. Four-star running back Jason Brown tops the list not just on the recruiting side of things but also for a chance to start, while offensive linemen Terrell Kim and Semisi Tonga also compete for playing time. There's a chance for Zechariah Sample to touch the football in more ways than one, and James Giggey and Chris Johnson Jr. could make life difficult for their competition. Host Richie Bradshaw discusses why these freshmen and others can compete for starting roles this upcoming season on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

With 22 (and counting) incoming transfers to Arizona State Sun Devils football courtesy of the NCAA Transfer Portal, it feels inevitable that Kenny Dillingham and the program have found multiple starters for the Sun Devils 2024 team. Dilly and the staff have been aggressive in upgrading several positions while also adding high-upside players who will find niches and roles where they will see plenty of playing time. Guys like Raleek Brown and Cole Martin come across as perhaps the most exciting additions to the group, but there are plenty of other plug-and-play guys here. Myles Rowser, Zyrus Fiaseu, and Jacob Kongaika are also notable guys here, plus several other defenders and offensive linemen. Truth be told, there's no reasonable reason for keeping these guys off the field. Host Richie Bradshaw highlights the incoming Arizona State Sun Devils football transfers who could see immediate playing time and maybe even day-one starters for the program on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

Stop me if you've heard this before -- It was another busy weekend for Kenny Dillingham and Arizona State Sun Devils football attacking the NCAA Transfer Portal. Dilly brought in five new guys, potentially plug-and-play players, over the last few days with a heavy emphasis on the defensive side of the football. Jacob Kongaika was the most recent addition, and the defensive tackle from the team down south has some exciting potential, as does fellow defensive tackle Jeff Clark from Louisville. The new depth along the interior of the defensive line has us more comfortable than we were a month ago. The Sun Devils also added premier safety and former FCS All-American Myles Rowser, better known as Ghost Rowser. The former New Mexico State Aggie joins an absolutely loaded safety room and should find it quick to carve out a niche with his talent. The Sun Devils rounded out their class with Purdue edge rusher Roman Pitre, a former Louisiana three-star in 2022, and kicker and more importantly valley product Parker Lewis. Host Richie Bradshaw breaks down all the new additions as well as what they mean to the program and more on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devil podcast.

The incoming 2024 recruiting class for Arizona State Sun Devils football has plenty of players to get excited about and generate tons of fun conversation as we sit amid the offseason. Jayden Fortier and Jason Brown grab the headlines for the incoming freshmen and even they get overshadowed by incoming transfers like Raleek Brown. Beyond the players we talk about the most, however, are the guys who will be instrumental in building the future of the program. Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils football coaching staff were aggressive this offseason in turning areas in need of depth into strengths. The interior of the offensive line sees several new players including Terrell Kim as reinforcements for a unit that was crushed by injuries last season. The defensive line also saw Ramar Williams and James Giggey added, the latter of whom may find a niche as a two-way player for the Sun Devils. Zechariah Sample is Mr. Do-It-All as a receiver and return man, too. But at the head of the table is Navi Bruzon, the two-time Gatorade Arizona High School Player of the Year and preferred walk-on for Arizona State Sun Devils football. Host Richie Bradshaw gets you up to speed on the incoming freshmen you're overlooking on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

2023 was for all intents and purposes a rough year for Arizona State Sun Devils athletics. The Sun Devils football program, in year one of a rebuild, had plenty of downs with some reasons for optimism, while the Sun Devils basketball program started the 2023-24 season with some frustrating losses. However, 2024 is a season we believe should hold plenty of optimism for fans. The basketball program currently holds the 16th-ranked recruiting class and could have some key players return to make the team more of a consistent threat, especially with more size. On the gridiron, the football program will benefit from year two of the Kenny Dillingham era with Jaden Rashada set to return, along with several other key players like Elijhah Badger. The overall arching theme of the Arizona State Sun Devils athletic programs returning to prominence has been three simple words coined by Dillingham -- Activate the Valley. Host Richie Bradshaw believes things are trending in the right direction for Arizona State Sun Devils athletics and that 2024 will be the year of the Sun Devils. We discuss more on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

It's New Year's Eve and 'tis the season for New Year's Resolutions! It was a rough season in year one of the Kenny Dillingham era of Arizona State Sun Devils football, and it gives us plenty of potential New Year's Resolutions to work on. It starts with offense, where the team desperately needs to find consistency whether it be through play calling, efficiency, execution, or anything else. The offensive line also needs to play better and take a step forward, while the defense needs to find ways to force more turnovers. Host Richie Bradshaw lays out some New Year's Resolutions for Arizona State Sun Devils football on this New Year's edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

It's New Year's Eve and 'tis the season for New Year's Resolutions! Arizona State Sun Devils basketball is off to a 7-5 start with some major warts and frustrating losses that have dampened our hopes a bit, but there's still plenty of time to turn things around now that PAC-12 Conference play is here... and it all starts with playing a full 40 minutes. Host Richie Bradshaw discusses how playing the full game and better rebounding and free throw shooting should be a part of the Arizona State Sun Devils basketball team's New Year's Resolutions on this New Year's edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

After discussing the most important incoming players for the Arizona State Sun Devils football program in 2024, we turn our heads toward the ten most important returning players for Kenny Dillingham and the program. Although the Sun Devils didn't have much success in the wins and losses column last season, several key components for the program are returning from Jaden Rashada and Elijhah Badger to Shamari Simmons and C.J. Fite. With so many new faces coming in, the veterans will be leaned on heavily to help everyone gel as the rebuilding of this program continues. Whether or not they've been here two years or five, host Richie Bradshaw highlights the ten most important returning players for Arizona State Sun Devils football in 2024 and others on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

Several new faces are coming to the Arizona State Sun Devils football program both via the 2024 recruiting class and through the NCAA Transfer Portal next season. Kenny Dillingham has been very busy with over 30 new players and counting coming to Tempe for his second season as the head coach, and several will be staring at potentially huge roles for the program. Beyond the biggest get in Raleek Brown, the transfer running back from USC, and the gem of this offseason, the program is bringing in many reinforcements on the offensive line, linebacker, and secondary spots, plus some more firepower on offense. The usual suspects of this podcast like Jayden Fortier and Jason Brown are very noteworthy players. Still, several formerly highly-recruited players like Kamari Wilson and Laterrance Welch have caught our eye. Host Richie Bradshaw lists the ten most important incoming players for the 2024 Arizona State Sun Devils football team on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.
