Locked On Suns - Daily Podcast On The Phoenix Suns

We break down the biggest bullet points from the final Suns media availability of the year, with extended time from the whole roster as well as coach Igor Kokoskov.

Kokoskov didn’t sound like a man who was worried about his job security but should he be? Deandre Ayton talked about what he wanted to get better at, Devin Booker discussed culture, and EVERYONE raved about Jamal Crawford.

All that and more in our dispatch from Talking Stick Resort Arena.

We discuss the epic and historic battle between Dirk Nowitzki and Jamal Crawford in Dallas in the Suns’ final game of the year before diving into big-picture takeaways from the 2019 season.

Crawford became the oldest player in NBA history to score 51 points while Nowitzki scored 30 in his last game at home. After the game, Nowitzki announced his retirement. It was a battle fans will always remember regardless of the game being meaningless overall.

We close the show with our favorite games of the Suns’ season, from the season-opener in Dallas to beating the Lakers to shut down their playoff chances in early March, as well as our favorite smaller moments of the season.

On today's episode live from Talking Stick Resort Arena, we recap the craziness from the Suns' home finale with a thrilling overtime victory over the Pelicans.

Josh Jackson, Dragan Bender and Ray Spalding all had career-best games simultaneously, while Jamal Crawford also gave us a throwback performance. Who would've thought that's how Phoenix would close their season in front of the home crowd?

We also looked ahead to how these three could fit into the Suns' plans next season.

What a crazy, weird game all tied together, right?

We recap the Suns’ 118-97 loss to the Utah Jazz first by dissecting Devin Booker’s injury and the subsequent news he will be shut down. Was Booker’s heavy minutes load worth another late-season injury for the fourth-year guard?

Then, we break down a few players who stood out keeping the game close while Booker was out, including Elie Okobo and Richaun Holmes. Both guys made a good case for staying on the roster in 2019-20.

We discuss big risers such as Brandon Clarke and PJ Washington as well as the fall of Cam Reddish. We debate RJ Barrett vs. Ja Morant and why Barrett doesn’t fit in Phoenix despite potentially being more talented overall.

Finally, we explain why it’s so silly to worry about Zion Williamson fitting with ANY team, let alone the Suns.

On today's episode live from Talking Stick Resort Arena, we recap the Phoenix Suns' 122-113 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Josh Jackson led the way with the best game of his career, finishing with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 5 blocks on 7-of-11 shooting.

Devin Booker also chipped in, but this time it was his facilitating that made the difference. The Suns' star dished out 13 assists to go along with 25 points, which was the ninth instance he's done that already this season. How has Booker's all-around growth offensively changed his offensive profile?

Finally, we run through our favorite numbers where everyone shined across the board.

On today's episode, Max from the 7SOL pod joins to discuss plenty of topics, including analyzing one of the worst Devin Booker takes we've ever heard from a national writer. Outside of the wrong view of Booker nationally, what's stood out most during his scoring binge since the All-Star break?

Kelly Oubre Jr. seems ready to commit long-term to the Suns, but what will the price be? We go over that while also recapping his impressive season in Phoenix.

Zion Williamson and Ja Morant shouldn't be in the same room, as far as better prospects go, but many Suns fans are trying to make it into a debate. What stands out about both, though, and how could they improve the team? Also, would you trade Morant's rights for Jrue Holiday or keep the pick?

Finally, we quickly go over the growth process Deandre Ayton has endured this season. What should the expectations be for Ayton during his second season?
