We also look at Joel Eriksson Ek and his strong start, and a resurgence for Nick Bjugstad. We finish by comparing areas the Wild and Penguins may have advantages in, such as the Power Play and Penalty Kill.

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we look at the great start that two of Bill Guerin's free agent signings are off to with the Wild in Freddy Gaudreau and Dmitry Kulikov. We look at how both are helping drive the offense, how Kulikov has slid in seamlessly to fill the void left by other departures. We also discuss how Gaudreau may have finally helped find a good line for Kirill Kaprizov. We compare the numbers so far to those of the players they replaced, and find that in most cases both Gaudreau and Kulikov are outperforming their predecessors. We also finish the episode by looking at the latest update in the Jack Eichel sweepstakes and why it isn't a bad thing that the Wild are no longer involved. Whoever ends up with Eichel is going to give up a LOT.

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we preview the Wild's matchup against the Ottawa Senators. The Senators are coming in off of an awful game against Chicago, and this game should tell us a lot about where the Wild are at after losses to Seattle and Colorado. This, at least on the surface is a "Get Right Game" opportunity for the Wild, and an opportunity to get a few players going if the Wild simply take care of their business and don't let the Senators hang around. We examine the numbers and try to figure out what has let the Senators down the most and led to their 3-5 start. We also look at Ottawa's goalie situation, which has been fluid to say the least. We finish the show by looking at the biggest keys to a Wild win.

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we recap the Wild's 4-1 loss to Seattle. We look at the impact of losing Mats Zuccarello and Rem Pitlick to COVID-19, and the loss of Alex Goligoski and Dmitry Kulikov to injuries. While it's tough to be shorthanded on the road, the Wild are still too talented of a team to play like they did. We look at how frustrating it is for the Wild to go almost 30 minutes of on ice time getting dominated, and wasting a great Penalty Kill and Cam Talbot's best start of the season. We finish the episode by looking at the need for Kevin Fiala and Kirill Kaprizov to step up and overcome their slow starts to get this team on track. We also talk about the Avalanche and how they haven't started the season on a good note and what it will take for the Wild to come away with a win in their final game of October.

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we recap the Wild's 3-2 win over Vancouver. The Wild put forth a much better effort at the start of the game after their first loss of the season. We saw the team play with more energy and made life very difficult for Vancouver all night long. We look at the debut of Rem Pitlick and whether or not he deserves to get more chances to see if he is a fit going forward. If he does find the lineup regularly, who would sit? We also look at whether or not the penalty kill is actually bad or if it's just suffering from an early season overload. All in all a lot of good to take from the 5th win of the year!

We start by looking at the expectations for Iowa heading into the year, which are extremely high with how well they have done over the last couple of seasons.
