Coming right off a WNBA Finals, players Jonquel Jones, A'ja Wilson, Chelsa Gray, Kelsey Plum, Alyssa Thomas and Brionna Jones all had to play in the 2022 World Cup in Sydney without much of a breather. How did this issue manifest in the actual competition and how can this issue be solved in the future? Host Jackie Powell discusses this and more with the Associated Press' Doug Feinberg.

The number was strong, even without context: 446,000 people watching the FIBA Women's World Cup final between USA and China. But wait: this was broadcast in the United States at 2 AM ET!!! It was done without any promotion during the WNBA playoffs, let alone the rest of the ESPN programming! AND YET: the audience showed up. So what can we learn from this, and how can the USWNT in soccer provide a window into the kind of ceiling that women's sports both is capable of and deserves? Host Howard Megdal brings you the history, the context, and the stakes, before taking a detour in segment three to wax poetic about the Big Ten's preseason galaxy of stars.

As the Las Vegas Aces captured the 2022 WNBA title, host Howard Megdal couldn't stop thinking about what he'd seen of Molly Bolin Kazmer, the iconic scorer in the women's pro league the WBL, as he watched Chelsea Gray dominate the finals. Please enjoy this chat with Molly, who talks about the bittersweet experience of seeing all her hard work -- not just on the court, but organizing women's pro basketball in this country behind the scenes as well -- pay off in the WNBA's explosive growth in 2022. Plus: why the league's evolution on pace and scoring is, in fact, a return to the way Molly played the game in Iowa during her six-on-six high school days, and much more.
