She joins Howard Megdal to talk about how it happened, from her focus on slowing down her pace to emphasizing her ability to score at all three levels. The two discuss Dawn Staley, of course, and the role South Carolina played in the development of Boston's professional goals on and off the court. Broadcasting, USA Basketball and much more are all part of the conversation as well.

It was crazy week one of the '23-'24 women's college basketball season with top teams going down and up and coming ones making a move. It all started last week in Las Vegas and national analyst Missy Heidrick talks with The Next's Matthew Walter who was in Las Vegas for the big wins by USC and Colorado. He also helps Missy break down one of the best mid-major leagues in the nation in the West Coast Conference (WCC). Can anyone knock Gonzaga off that top spot?

Host Jackie Powell is back for Part 2 of her chat with Sean Highkin, longtime NBA Reporter and the author of The Rose Garden Report to parse through what happened to WNBA expansion in Portland. In Part 2, Sean and Jackie discuss Phil Knight’s influence in Portland's basketball scene. Could he be someone who could salvage the WNBA expansion bid in Portland? And with a team coming to the bay area, why would 13 teams in the WNBA rather than 14 not be the best idea.
