This week it's Cat's turn to pick a book set in a city she's lived in, per this months theme! We also talk about our other latest reads as well as some TikTok book drama and our audiobook thoughts!

Another queer fantasy book? No way! Yes, our next monthly theme is all about places we've lived and this book is set in a mysterious market under the streets of London. We review and yap.

We are reading our second "read by numbers" book AKA a book with a number in the title! We hope you enjoy! (We apologize for the elderly pug noises in this episode lol)

Read by numbers! This month we've picked books with numbers in the title cause why not? We're kicking it off with BookTok fave YA 'Six of Crows', a fantasy heist with a loveable ensemble! We talk heavy spoilers so beware.

Fantasy but make it sexy! What does that mean? Well for the month of January we decided that we're gonna be reading romantasy books! (or maybe book is more accurate lol) Cat has picked Swordcrossed by Freya Marske, a romance between rascal con artist and buttoned up struggling business man with a side of betrayal and intrigue! It's the last episode of the year so of course we had to reflect on all the books we read this year! We give your our top five best podcast books as well as our bottom five!

We also do a few superlatives for the books and book characters we read this year!

Happy Holidays! Our holiday pick this year came from a series of unhinged TikTok's aimed at Val and sold her on this cute little Christmas themed book. We chat more about what we've been reading lately as well as Cat's beef with Casey McQuiston which might have a little something to do with Taylor Swift.

We dive into the world of The Pairing by Casey McQuiston this week, our second book from 2024! This is the fourth book of theirs we've reviewed on the podcast! Find out how we felt about this one!

It’s books that came out this year month! (No we didn’t change the theme literally at the last minute how dare you). We promised the rest of the year would be queer so that’s what we’ve delivered! Apart from reviewing ‘You Should Be So Lucky’ by our queen, Cat Sebastian, we also dive into the other queer books we’ve been reading the past few weeks!

For the final episode of October we are reading and reviewing Death in the Spires by KJ Charles and queer mystery! Which we all know is up Cat and Val's alley! And thankfully fits perfectly in out October theme "books with Death in the title!"
