Look What You Made Me Read

For October our theme is veeerryyyy deadly! We are reading books with Death in the title (or any variants of the word) To start us off Val has picked Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates a murder mystery book! On the subject of mystery the gals also chat about the Netflix adaptation of A Good Girls Guide To Murder (the book being a podcast favourite!)

Buckle in folks this is a long one! We have a lot of strong feelings about this one! Welcome to the second episode of "authors we hate" month! and of course we're doing none other than Colleen Hoover. We hope you enjoy our review!

A new month means a new podcast theme! For September we've decided to choose books written by authors we have beef with. We'll be reviewing 'Wildfire' by Hannah Grace for our first pick and if you've listened to our 'Icebreaker' episode, you'll know why.

…honestly, we kind of just wanted an excuse to be haters.

Welcome to trope month! That's right we're doing a different trope for every episode in August! And the last one is "Forced Proximity" and Cat has chose Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales about two girls who enter a reality TV show to win back their ex-boyfriend but end up falling for each other! Nothing more forced proximity than being stuck on a reality show together!

Forbidden love and queer hockey players - what more could you want? This episode is the culmination of years of Cat trying to convince Val to read her favourite book series so we really hope you enjoy and love these books and characters as much as we did!

Welcome to trope month! That's right we're doing a different trope for every episode in August! And the first one is "Marriage of Convenience".

Cat mentions her favourite marriage of convenience she's read and the girls chat about the newest All For The Game book!

This June we've decided the theme was going to be "Authors we love" and we couldn't have that theme without reading the newest Erik J Brown book! Long time listeners you know that Erik has written our favourite book of 2022 and 2023! So this was a no brainer!

We also fangirl over the second part of season 3 of Bridgerton so beware of many spoilers ahead!!

This June we've decided the theme was going to be "Authors we love" so we're going to be reading two authors that we've talked about a lot on the podcast and have been vocal about being fans of and first up is Alex Michaelides! Back in 2021 we read both The Silent Patient and The Maidens and were big fans of both! So tune in to see if The Fury lives up to our standards!
