Chilling sci fi satire on this week's episode with an interview with Vivarium director Lorcan Finnegan, appropriately atmospheric for isolated viewing.

Giles and Robbie open the pod with news on the latest MakeYourFilm online summit event amid the lockdown, followed by Robbie's interview with the writer/director.

Lorcan discusses his roots in graphic design, beginnings in TV, commercials and webisodes before charting his route into film with award-winning short Foxes, which gave him the kudos to launce two features, his first film Without Name and the much longer gestating Vivarium, out now on demand.

For the more analytical we talk colour theory and set design, and for producers taking notes we talk finance, as Lorcan reveals the story of how the film came together from an impressive array of European funding bodies.

We also discuss casting the leads, Imogen and Jesse, and how folklore and parable play into the film's story.
