In this breaking news episode, Jessie covers the dramatic conclusion of the Karen Read murder trial, which ended in a mistrial declared by Judge Beverly Cannone. After days of deliberations, the jury remained deadlocked despite attempts to break the impasse. Read, 44, was accused of drunkenly backing her SUV into her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe, but her defense claimed she was framed. We discuss the jury's struggle to reach a verdict, the use of the Tuey-Rodriguez charge, and the emotional courtroom reactions. The Norfolk County District Attorney's Office plans to retry the case, with a status hearing set for July 22nd.

Current Affairs is Love Murder's show about the stories of love gone fatally wrong that are in the news right now.
