On the football side, offensive lineman Cash Cleveland transferred from Colorado, providing depth and competition on the interior line. While not necessarily expected to start immediately, Cleveland gives Tech more options at guard and center. We note that over 30 players have entered the transfer portal from Tech's football program since December. While the high number is concerning, many were depth players impacted by scholarship limits. For basketball, we analyze the addition of VCU transfer Luke Bamgboye. The 6'9" center fills a major need for rim protection and interior defense. We speculate that Coach Grant McCasland hopes Bamgboye can develop over multiple seasons at Tech rather than being a one-year stopgap.
